The present study describes the result of a report experience carried trough in the pediatric ward at the University Hospital of the Federal University of Sergipe, from August 2008 to August 2009. It aims at inside describe the value of the pedagogist s work developed within the scope of Hospital Pedagogy by employing ludotherapy as a pedagogical educational strategy for children and adolescents in hospital. Demonstrating that education and learning are feasible within the hospital and may well contribute toward patient s well being, who may have development compromised, since deprived from characteristic childhood social interactions. The recapture of hospital function along history enable a view upon its present role within society, where the dominance of technical rationality prioritizes the disease to the detriment of the patient, therefore neglecting the integral aspect of human being. The theoretical perspective by Vygotsky and Wallon have justified our knowledge concerning childhood development, since their propositions reassert the need for social interaction and learning regarding the hospitalized child, seeing that even though going through an episode of illness, growth continues and therefore, plans of action that allow for coping with negative effects deriving from hospitalization, become indispensable. In conclusion, the pedagogist s intervention is essential within this environment and the use of ludotherapy as a pedagogical strategy for developing activities, have contributed to excel for the integral attendance to the hospitalized child. Moreover, this work calls on preparatory educational courses in order to provide professionals who shall be able to act withim the hospital environment. / O estudo que apresentamos, é o relato de uma experiência realizada na ala pediátrica do Hospital Universitário da Universidade Federal de Sergipe, no período de agosto de 2008 à agosto de 2009, e tem por objetivo descrever a importância do trabalho desenvolvido pelo pedagogo dentro da Pedagogia Hospitalar, utilizando a ludoterapia como estratégia pedagógico-educacional, para crianças e adolescentes internados. Mostrando que a educação e a aprendizagem também são possíveis dentro do hospital e podem contribuir para o bem-estar deste paciente que esta privado das interações sociais próprias da infância, e que pode ter seu desenvolvimento comprometido. A retomada da função do hospital ao longo da história nos possibilitou vislumbrar seu papel na sociedade de hoje, onde em nome de uma racionalidade técnica busca priorizar a doença e não o doente, negligenciando o aspecto integral da pessoa humana. Sob as perspectivas teóricas de Vygotsky e Wallon, buscamos fundamentar nosso entendimento acerca do desenvolvimento infantil, uma vez que a partir de seus postulados, reafirmamos a necessidade das interações sociais e da aprendizagem junto à criança hospitalizada. Visto que mesmo em situação de adoecimento a mesma continua se desenvolvendo e se torna imprescindível, ações que permitam a ela elaborar os efeitos negativos decorrentes da hospitalização. Chegou-se a conclusão que a intervenção do pedagogo é essencial nesse ambiente, que o uso da ludoterapia como estratégia pedagógica no desenvolvimento das atividades contribuiu de forma relevante para o atendimento integral à criança hospitalizada. E que existe uma necessidade dos cursos de formação de educadores prepararem profissionais para atuarem em ambiente hospitalar.

To move from the area of practice allowed by the profession of pedagogue. The unfolding of the general objective allowed to broaden the discussion about the historical trajectory of the Pedagogy course, which includes the change in the qualifications, in Brazil and in Catalão, articulating the latter with the own history of implantation of the advanced Campus of the UFG in that city. This work also discussed "gender" and "masculinity", trying to understand the point of view of the egresses about the relations between the genders and how these are in the field of their professional choices. The research made it possible to undertake a quantitative and qualitative mapping of the men graduating from the Pedagogy course of the UFG / RC in the last decades, as well as the promotion of a bibliographical analysis about the male sex in the education of young children and the feminization of the teaching profession. For documentary analysis, institutional documents were used, such as the Political pedagogical projects of the Pedagogy course and the production of interviews with the graduates participating in the research. From a methodological point of view, we chose case studies, through interviews and also quantification and analysis of the data. At the end of the research, we found that despite the difficulties encountered, a significant number of graduates remained in the area of activity of the pedagogue. / Tomando como objeto de análise os homens egressos do curso de Pedagogia da Universidade Federal de Goiás – Regional de Catalão (UFG/RC), formados entre 1991 e 2014, esta pesquisa teve como objetivo compreender as razões que levaram esses egressos a se estabelecerem ou a se deslocarem da área de atuação permitida pela profissão de pedagogo. Os desdobramentos do objetivo geral permitiram ampliar a discussão sobre a trajetória histórica do curso de Pedagogia, na qual se incluem a mudança nas habilitações, no Brasil e em Catalão, articulando esta última com a própria história de implantação do Campus avançado da UFG naquela cidade. Este trabalho também discutiu “gênero” e “masculinidade”, procurando compreender o ponto de vista dos egressos sobre as relações entre os gêneros e como estas se dão no campo de suas escolhas profissionais. A pesquisa permitiu empreender um mapeamento quantitativo e qualitativo dos homens egressos do curso de Pedagogia da UFG/RC ao longo das últimas décadas, bem como a promoção de uma análise bibliográfica acerca do sexo masculino na educação de crianças pequenas e a feminização do magistério. Para análise documental foram utilizados documentos institucionais, como os Projetos político pedagógico do curso de Pedagogia e a produção de entrevistas com os egressos participantes da investigação. Do ponto de vista metodológico optou-se por estudos de caso, através de entrevistas e, ainda, quantificação e análises dos dados. Ao final da pesquisa descobrimos que um número significativo de egressos permaneceu na área de atuação do pedagogo.
