This diploma thesis is focused on application of marketing instruments in personal management of large companies. It is divided into two parts -- theoretical and practical. There are basic principles of functioning of personal marketing described in the theoretical part. Practical part is also divided into two parts -- in first of them there are comparated some personal marketing activities of large companies on czech personal market. In the second part there is the evaluation of questionnaire, which should demonstrate how marketing activities of personal managers meet the requirements of potential, or current employees, or what personal managers have to focuse on.

The Study of Personal Marketing and Image Management in Campaign Strategies ¡VA Case of Seventh Kaohsiung City Council Election in 2006

The study utilizes the correlations among Personal Marketing, Image Management and Campaign Strategies of Seventh Kaohsiung City Council Election in 2006. A successful election campaign will be constructed for the future reference of local election candidates. Content analysis, questionnaire survey and In-depth interview with professionals and experts were used to conduct this study. Comparative method with tables was utilized to analyze the data and it was found that: 1. Campaign Strategy: Candidates need to break the traditional models and adopt business management principles (cost reduction, differential marketing and focus). 2. Personal Marketing: The main duty of city councillors is monitoring the city government. Candidates need to be marketed as professional, earnest and rational, who share close-up experiences with voters. 3. Image management: Councillors should give professional and friendly impressions at service by focusing on monitoring the city government, participating in charity events, representing the voters at the city council, and establishing an image as the local opinion leader. These achievements rely on hard work and effort. To conclude the thesis as below: 1. Major Campaign Strategies for the candidates: C1 has the best campaign strategy by adopting business management strategies of cost reduction, differential marketing and focus. 2. Differential marketing on image management and campaign strategy: C1 and C4 adopt media strategies to market themselves as professional public servants. C1 and C4 inform their voters to turn on televisions to see how they question city government officials at the city council. Such marketing is an extension of their advantages and opportunities as incumbent councillors. 3. Differential marketing on image management and campaign strategy: Candidates and journalists both consider image management important. 4. It provides personal marketing strategy in the certain organization and tries to make possible improvements to the current strategy by the qualitative research. The qualitative research was conducted by using semi-structured interviews with volunteers.

This diploma thesis deals with the topic of personal marketing in the area of shared services centres, mainly by its external part focusing on acquisition of university students and graduates. The main aim of the thesis is to propose improvements for personal marketing strategy of one concrete company. For this purpose, the key notions from the field of personal marketing as employer branding and employer reputation are defined as well as the terms from the area of shared services centres. After the definition of SSC, the sector of shared company services is going to be described to give reasons for the need for them to set up an effective personal marketing strategy aimed on university students and graduates. In practical part the assessment of the current approach to the personal marketing of the chosen company is to be made by analysing individual elements of its personal marketing strategy and comparing it to its competition. Then by using that and the results of the survey made amongst the target groups, the recommendation to improve current HR marketing strategy of the chosen company will be concluded.

Integrationen av sociala medier i dagens samhälle har bidragit till framväxten av en mersammankopplad och global värld. En värld som erbjuder fler tekniska möjligheter än tidigare, men som även bidrar med nya utmaningar. En av dessa utmaningar är hur man ska agera för att bli positivt utmärkt på den alltmer konkurrensutsatta arbetsmarknaden. Denna studie syftar till att angripa denna utmaning genom att undersöka hur den sociala applikationen Instagram kan användas som en kanal för personlig marknadsföring. Studiens slutsatser, vilka är baserade på en kombination av resultat från litteraturstudier samt kvalitativt inriktade intervjuer och innehållsanalyser, tyder på att Instagram kan användas som ett personligt marknadsföringsverktyg. Resultatet av studien indikerar att man bör börja med att klargöra sina unika och attraktiva egenskaper, mål och färdigheter för att skapa sig ett personligt varumärke.Detta varumärke kan sedan kommuniceras på Instagram genom skapandet och applicerande av en intresseveckande markandsföringsstrategi. För att höja chanserna att strategin ska lyckas bör den vara autentisk, tydlig, konsekvent och tilltalande för potentiella arbetsgivare. Resultaten tyder även på att det är viktigt att t.ex. använda hashtags och kommentarer för att skapa positiva interaktioner och uppmärksamhet kring ens varumärke/Instagramkonto. Slutligen bör man även utvärdera resultatet av ens ansträngningar för att se om ens mål blivit uppfyllda. / The integration of social media in today's society has largely contributed to the development of a more accessible and global world. Even if this evolution raises countless possibilities it also creates challenges, one of those is how to become positively distinguished in the increasingly competitive employment market. This study addresses this challenge by investigating how the new and popular social application Instagram can be used as a tool for personal branding. The findings, which are based on a combination of literature reviews, qualitatively oriented interviews and content analysis, concludes that Instagram can be used a personal branding tool. The recommended way to do this is by first clarify one's unique brandable attributes, values and goals by constructing a personal brand. This brand can then be communicated through Instagram by the use of a captivating strategy, which are evaluated and reviewed after some time. This in order to gradually develop the value offered so that the brand remains contemporary and competitive. To increase the chances of succeeding with the strategy, it should be authentic, clear, consistent and appealing for prospective employers. Findings also show that it is important to use e.g. hashtags and comments to create positive interactions and buzz around one's brand/Instagram account.

This thesis is focused on the phenomenon of corporate social responsibility (CSR). Opening parts of the work are devoted to the concept in general and its evolution in the context of other theories investigating the issue of responsibility in business as well. The part the work describes recommendations for the implementation process of the CSR concept into an organizational strategy. Following chapters are based on the stakeholder theory and a related specification of the CSR content within three thematic spheres - economic, social and environmental. A part of the work describes opportunities of CSR in a field of a human resources management. The last chapter describes utilization of CSR in the human resource management in the particular company. The chapter also contains recommendations based on the concept of CSR in order to bring positive effects to the company and employees, who are an important group of stakeholders. Religious agents, through this mean, improve their symbolic interaction among leaders and members, and attract people to the sanctuaries. Aiming the communication of its speeches of prosperity, the IURD uses several procedures related to the techniques of personal marketing and sophistication of the visual appearance of its leaders. That is one of the reasons why this church has been chosen as focal point of our research. We believe that the IURD uses the sophisticated visual appearance of its leaders as a way of gathering people. It was possible to realize that MP is an important tool for the consolidation and expansion of this institution in the religious market. The kind of personal image highlighted here comes out from the imagination of the principal leader of the church, Bishop Edir Bezerra Macedo. Through this image, leaders are marked, or stigmatized, with an aesthetic profile of success. As methodology to the investigation we used the following: analysis of the marketing of bishops, pastors and workers, as it is presented on the Folha Universal; analysis of several programs transmitted on TV Record, which we recorded to facilitate the research; and the participation, as observer, in several worship services celebrated in different congregations. We could verify the interfaces of a good image produced throughout corporal techniques, clothes and accessories. Due to this sort of image, leaders play successfully their performances, either on television or in the sanctuaries.(AU) / Este trabalho tem por objetivo analisar a forma de construção da imagem dos bispos, pastores, obreiros e obreiras da Igreja Universal do Reino de Deus (IURD), por meio da ferramenta de marketing pessoal (MP). A utilização do MP por tais agentes religiosos é uma maneira de melhorar a interação simbólica entre líderes e fiéis e atrair o público para os templos. A IURD foi escolhida para esta análise por usar de vários procedimentos que estão relacionados com as técnicas de MP, no sentido de sofisticar a aparência visual de sua liderança, a fim de representar um discurso de prosperidade disseminado pela instituição. Cremos que é dessa forma que a IURD atrai o público por meio da imagem criada dos líderes, mediante uma aparência visual sofisticada. Na pesquisa dessa Igreja, encontramos que a ferramenta de MP usada pelos seus membros hierárquicos contribui para o crescimento e a consolidação desse empreendimento no mercado religioso. A construção da imagem que estamos tratando é planejada a partir da matriz imagética do líder principal da Igreja Universal, Edir Bezerra Macedo. Por meio da imagem central do bispo Macedo é que a liderança é marcada ou estigmatizada com um perfil estético respaldado por uma noção de sucesso. Utilizamos a pesquisa bibliográfica e observação participante como método de pesquisa e ainda, pesquisamos o jornal Folha Universal e averiguamos alguns programas televisivos exibidos na TV Record, analisando o marketing pessoal da liderança em questão. Assim, verificamos que as interfaces de presentação da boa imagem produzida por meio de técnicas corporais, roupas e acessórios, favorece a representação desses líderes nos seus principais canais de comunicação, templos e televisão.(AU)

The diploma thesis deals with the topic of contemporary trends in the recruitment and selection of workers and employer branding in organizations. Related to low unemployment rate, changes in individual's values and the dynamic development of technology, these personal activities are keys to ensure organization's prosperity. Firstly, the work focuses on the development of personal management and department up to the current situation. It follows a description of the specific factors of the external and internal environment of the organization. Attention is also paid to the methods and tools used in the recruitment and selection of new workers as well as to the employer branding. The target of the diploma thesis is to identify the most frequently used methods and tools in these fields. The quantitative research is focuses on medium sized and large sized organizations operating in Prague. An electronically distributed questionnaire was used for collecting the data.
