A comparison of latency for MongoDB and PostgreSQL with a focus on analysis of source code

Lindvall, Josefin, Sturesson, Adam January 2021 (has links)
The purpose of this paper is to clarify the differences in latency between PostgreSQL and MongoDB as a consequence of their differences in software architecture. This has been achieved through benchmarking of Insert, Read and Update operations with the tool “Yahoo! Cloud Serving Benchmark”, and through source code analysis of both database management systems (DBMSs). The overall structure of the architecture has been researched with Big O notation as a tool to examine the complexity of the source code. The result from the benchmarking show that the latency for Insert and Update operations were lower for MongoDB, while the latency for Read was lower for PostgreSQL. The results from the source code analysis show that both DBMSs have a complexity of O(n), but that there are multiple differences in their software architecture affecting latency. The most important difference was the length of the parsing process which was larger for PostgreSQL. The conclusion is that there are significant differences in latency and source code and that room exists for further research in the field. The biggest limitation of the experiment consist of factors such as background processes which affected latency and could not be eliminated, resulting in a low validity.

Optimalizace informačního systému pro sledování spotřeb energií / Optimization of Energy Consumption Monitoring System

Hrbek, Martin January 2019 (has links)
The goal of this thesis is to optimize the existing energy consumption monitoring system and expand the presentation options for the measured data in a way that would be suitable for large volume of data and a long period of time. Optimization concerns especially data processing and data presentation.

Automatizovaná analýza a archivace dat z webu / Automated Web Analysis and Archivation

Kocman, Tomáš January 2019 (has links)
This thesis is focused on cybercrime, acquisition of evidence and development of a platform for retrieval, analysis and archiving web site data. The goal is to satisfy the investigators and security experts of the Czech police. The aim is to provide an open source platform that will be freely disseminable and in compliance with the requirements of legal institutions. The output of the thesis is two platform versions - full-fledged, fulfilling all the requirements set out in the diploma thesis and a light version for the police investigators of the Czech Republic.

Komplexní řešení prodeje zboží / A Complex Solution for Selling Merchandise

Krhovský, Patrik January 2020 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is to analyze, design and implement solution for selling merchandise, which sellers can be used with commonly used hardware, free in basic package and they should be able to handle system setup. As a result, sellers can avoid new operating costs. The system will run as a service on Heroku servers. The front-end and back-end is implemented in JavaScript, front-end also uses React. GraphQL is used for communication between frontend and back-end. The data is stored in the PostgreSQL relational database, but also is used the Redis database, which runs tasks in the background.

Metody přístupu k databázím PostgreSQL v .NET Framework / Methods of access to PostgreSQL databases in .NET Framework

Henzl, Václav January 2009 (has links)
The results of this work are two major projects - NpgObjects and PagedDataGridView. NpgObjects is a simple ORM framework to enable the mapping database tables to objects in the common language runtime. It contains a specially designed generator which generates classes in C# from information obtained from the database. These classes are mapping on the database tables one to one. NpgObjects allows all the basic database operations - SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE and DELETE. PagedDataGridView is a component for displaying tabular data. In cooperation with NpgObjects can paginate database data and manage the flow of data into application. It provides a comfortable user interface, which can easily navigate between different pages of data.

Aplikace pro zobrazení modelu bezdrátové sítě / Application for display wireless network model

Žoldoš, Petr January 2011 (has links)
The first step of Master's thesis was to gain knowledge about technologies Adobe Flex SDK and Google Maps API. Knowledge was used to develop an application, which let users create, generate and modify graphical wireless network model. Position and characteristics of each single unit are monitored either in a map interface or in building plans. Dates are gathered from forms filled by current user, from external file or periodically from connected database system. Theoretical part enlightens technologies that were used. It describes program development and solutions, which were made, along with examples of the source code. Included are printscreens of graphical user interface as well as description of how does it all work.

Jelínek, Radek January 2015 (has links)
This thesis is focused on PostgreSQL database system. You can find here introducing to temporal databases, database system PostgreSQL, proposal of temporal extension for PostgreSQL and implementation chapter with examples of using this extension. In this thesis is also using temporal database systems and use temporal databases in practise.

High-Availability für ZOPE

Damaschke, Marko 11 June 2005 (has links)

Wehrmann, Sebastian 01 August 2006 (has links)

Hantering av kursmjukvaror vid Linköpings universitet / Management of course software at Linköping University

Udd, Gustaf, Axelsson, Isak, Duvaldt, Jakob, Bergman, Oscar, Måhlén, Joar, Lundin, Oskar, Abrahamsen, Tobias, Sköldehag, Sara January 2020 (has links)
