The Problem statement which was examined in this study is the following: Throughout the history the accuracy and historical value of the Psalm headings were questioned. Translations of the Psalm headings that later on developed for example the Septuagint, the Vulgate and the Peshitta is generally more extended than the Hebrew text. The use of the Grammatical–Historical method shows that the Psalm headings are authorative and that they are part of the Canonical text of the Hebrew Bible. Thorough word study by the method of Verhoef (1973), Hayes & Holladay (2007) and Kaiser (2007) of certain terms was important to note in the naming of the Psalter. This word study was approached through the Grammatical–Historical method. It was further necessary to study the importance of Psalm 145 in the whole of the Psalter, because Psalm 145 is the only Psalm with the heading: תְּהִלָּה . Other Psalm headings were studied and historical information was compared with other parts of Scripture. This study was approached Revelation–Historical. Further on it was necessary to do a comparative study between the Psalm headings of the Masoretic text, the Septuagint and the writings of Qumran to determine the authority of the Psalm headings. A study of contents about the element of praise was also necessary as Van Rooy (2008) explained, because the Psalter shows a development from lament to praise. Variables affecting hand sanitizer use in public facilities

The following research was conducted to contribute to the greater understanding of the impact that most often utilized methods of public awareness and education have on behaviors relative to sickness and disease for the general public in terms of action toward prevention behaviors within a healthcare setting. The psycho educational approach is often considered an effective means to promote behavior change as it relates to preventative behavior, and in the clinical therapeutic setting has shown some relevance as an effective procedure. Unfortunately, no research as of yet speaks to the comparative effectiveness this approach may have over other approaches often thought to enhance preventative behavior, such as the more empirically based behavior analytic methods. This study provides such an analysis of the effectiveness each methodology has on changing the behavior of the public at large. Based on a study conducted in the academic setting to increase hand-sanitizing behavior of facility patrons (Loukus & Dixon, in review), this study utilizes the most effective form of prompting found to increase sanitizer use in a public facility. Because healthcare facilities often rely on psycho educational methodologies to influence sanitizer use amongst visitors and employees by placing "sanitizing stations" at the main entrance to the facility, this setting provides an appropriate venue for scientific manipulation of prompting variables to determine effectiveness on public preventative behavior towards sickness and disease, while a simple reversal design enhances the comparative value of effects obtained on behavior through observation and implementation of the two approaches within the setting.

A associação do significado das letras dos cânticos relacionado à transformação social que acontece dentro do trabalho e missão social urbana da Comunidade Carisma acabou sendo o foco desse trabalho. Sabe-se que a música tem um poder imenso de atuar na área emocional e nas experiências do ser humano, atuando tanto no individual, quanto no coletivo da pessoa. Então, até que ponto, música não é uma alienação, mas sim um instrumento de despertar individual e coletivamente - para a transformação e a aplicabilidade de todo este envolvimento social que a Comunidade Carisma vive? Dentro do que é a base teológica da comunidade, a ordem do culto e toda a sua liturgia, foi feito um levantamento de toda estrutura da mesma. Para tanto, realizou-se uma pesquisa descritiva e aplicada, valendo-se de metodologias quantitativas. A amostra da pesquisa foi composta por 342 empregados, aos quais foi aplicado um questionário elaborado a partir de práticas de Reconhecimento identificadas através de Mendonça, 2002; Nelson, 2007; Almeida, 2008 e Ventrice, 2009, da escala de Prazer-Sofrimento no Trabalho - Fator Reconhecimento (Mendes, 1999) e da escala Percepção de Suporte Organizacional (Brandão, 2009). Os dados obtidos foram analisados por meio dos softwares Excel e SPSS versão 20. Foi realizada análise fatorial e verificada consistência interna através do indicador de Alpha de Cronbach. Também foi realizado cálculo de estatística dos dados como média, desvio-padrão, favorabilidade e correlação (coeficiente de correlação de Pearson) entre o constructo fator Reconhecimento e as dimensões do constructo Percepção de Suporte Organizacional. Identificou-se como práticas de reconhecimento mais valorizadas pelos trabalhadores que responderam a pesquisa: respeito do superior imediato, elogio escrito e divulgado na gerência, autonomia para tomada de decisão, aprovação, apoio e feedback de superiores. O nível de Reconhecimento foi alto e a percepção de suporte organizacional moderada. Em relação às correlações, identificaram-se correlações positivas entre a variável reconhecimento e os fatores Gestão de Desempenho e prática de Promoção, Suporte Material ao Desempenho e Remuneração. Para o fator carga de trabalho a correlação não se apresentou significativa. Diante dos resultados obtidos, foi possível elaborar algumas sugestões para fortalecer a cultura de Reconhecimento na unidade e desta forma, alavancar o nível de percepção de suporte organizacional. This work was developed with the aim to investigate Recognition practices and the level of workers at the unity Serviços Compartilhados Regional RNNE about Recognition and Perceived Organization Support. To this end, we carried out a descriptive and applied study, drawing on quantitative methodologies. The search sample consisted of 342 workers, for which a questionnaire was developed from a model of recognition practices identified by Mendonça, 2008; Nelson, 2007; Almeida, 2008 and Ventrice, 2009, from Pleasure-Suffering scale (Mendes, 1999) and from Perceived Organization Support scale (Brandão, 2009). The data were analyzed using Excel software and SPSS version 20. Did factorial analysis and verified the internal consistence by Alpha of Cronbach indicator. The statistical calculation data was done as an average, standard deviation, favorability and correlation (Pearson´s correlation coefficient) between the Recognition factor construct and the Perceived Organization Support dimensions construct. We have identified like as recognition practices most valued by workers who responded to the survey: respect of the immediate superior, praise written and published in management, autonomy for decision making, approval, support and feedback from superiors. The level of recognition was high and perceived organizational support moderate. Regarding positive correlations were identified between recognition variable and Performance Management and Practice of Promotion, Material Support to Performance and Payment factors. The factor Workload correlation did not prove to be significant. Based on these results, we can make some suggestions to strengthen the culture of recognition in the unit and thus enhance the level of perceived organizational support.

Studiens syfte var att fördjupa förståelsen gällande uppskattning i arbetslivet. Uppskattning är ett aktuellt ämne som ofta lyfts i media och det är intressant att se till de effekterna som uppskattning kan ge. För att fördjupa förståelsen kring ämnet så undersöktes det hur chefer och medarbetare upplevde uppskattning, vilka positiva och negativa associationer det fanns kopplade till uppskattning samt om det fanns ett samförstånd eller en dissonans i upplevelsen av uppskattning mellan chefer och medarbetare. Studien är genomförd med ett perspektiv på både chefer och medarbetares upplevelse av uppskattning och båda grupperna kan dra nytta av undersökningens resultat. Den teoretiska referensramen som består av tolkningar av uppskattningsbegreppet, belöningssystemen och det psykologiska kontraktet ligger till grund för analysen av det empiriska materialet. Det empiriska materialet samlades in genom 11 intervjuer med både chefer och anställda inom kommun- och restaurangbranschen. Resultatet visar på att den verbala uppskattningen är den viktigaste formen av uppskattning för båda grupperna. Det fanns vissa skillnader mellan grupperna och det återfanns både en samstämmighet och en dissonans i den upplevda uppskattningen på arbetsplatserna. Överlag var uppfattningen kring uppskattning positiv. / The purpose of the study was to deepen the understanding of appreciation in working life. Appreciation is a current topic that is often raised in the media and it is interesting to see the effects that appreciation can give. To deepen the understanding of the subject, it was investigated how managers and employees experienced appreciation, what positive and negative associations there were linked to appreciation and whether there was a consensus or a dissonance in the experience of appreciation between managers and employees. The study was conducted with a perspective on both managers and employees experience of appreciation and both groups can benefit from the study’s results. The theoretical frame of reference, which consists of interpretations of the concept of appreciation, the reward systems and the psychological contract, forms the basis for the analysis of the empirical material. The empirical material was collected through 11 interviews with both managers and employees in the municipal and restaurant industry. The results show that verbal appreciation is the most important form of appreciation for both groups. There were some differences between the groups and there was both a consensus and a dissonance in the perceived appreciation in the workplaces. Overall, the perception of appreciation was positive.
