Řízení projektů ve vybraném podniku / Project management in selected company

This work deals with project management in chosen company. It has two parts. The first part is theoretical, which is focused to theoretical treatment of the subject. It explains what is the project, management of projects, organizations of projects, processes of project management, what is target of project, communication, control, changes and risks and more. In the practical part I focused to concrete company and project management and than I analyzed concrete project. Name of the mentioned company is OHL ŽS, a.s. It is company from Spain, which acts all over the world. In the Czech Republic has the base in Brno. This company has several divisions and every of them is focused to different professional architecture. I have chosen division of structural engineering. This division builds all kinds of buildings. It could be construction of new buildings or reconstruction. To analysis of chosen project I used various business documents, contracts with investor or suppliers, document which include billing, timetable. I especially used my experience with projects of this company, and I was part of this project. Name of this project is Reconstruction of cladding including replacement windows and insulation. During the analysis of project I found a couple major gaps. If we could avoid these gaps, we could increase profit. These graphs is especially in management. At the beginning there were appointed two temporary construction managers. They doesn't care about result project, because they knew that they will not be to the end of the project. These gaps are because there is missing motivation system. Project manager can´t affect results of employees. It doesn´t depend on performance of employees, they always has the same wages. For elimination of these gaps I proposed several suggestions for improvement. The first suggestion is modification and extension of motivation system. New motivation system include personal evaluation. This evaluation depends on performance of employee. The second part is bonus from over profit. The next suggestion is make a new working position. This position would take care about controlling and project documentation. During the building project, especially at the end is construction manager very busy. It depend of decision of construction 63 manager what kind of activity will have prefer. Project documentation and administration or controlling of building works. If they are doing everything correct and technology are respect. Suggested position would take care about invoices, real work, which is done, project documentation, controlling of budget. The third suggestion is purchase of small machinery such as chipping hammers and drills. At this time they rent all devices. Rent is higher than purchase price. The last suggestion is use credit to restoration of fleet. At this time they have obsolete fleet, because the bought all cars by cash. It is not conveniently.

Adoção de BPM pelas IES brasileiras: características e oportunidades de melhoria / BPM adoption by Brazilian higher education institutions: characteristics and improvement opportunities

O interesse das organizações pela gestão de processos de negócio ou BPM (Business Process Management) tem aumentado nos últimos anos em todo mundo, tendo como principal motivador a redução de custos por meio de processos mais eficientes. Assim como as outras organizações, as Instituições de Ensino Superior (IES) também buscam aperfeiçoar sua gestão e têm recebido maior atenção política e acadêmica em todo o mundo em função da geração de valor para as comunidades regionais. No Brasil, as IES particulares, que representam em número 88,17% das instituições de ensino, enfrentam o desafio da formação de grandes grupos educacionais aumentando as exigências de reestruturação baseadas na redução de custos. No caso das IES públicas brasileiras, o aperfeiçoamento da gestão é promovido por iniciativas do governo, como o Programa Nacional de Gestão Pública e Desburocratização - GesPública, que inclui a gestão de processos de negócio em seus fundamentos. Ainda existem poucos estudos empíricos detalhando a adoção dessa abordagem de gestão, não sendo identificado nenhum que caracterize a gestão de processos entre as IES. Estes fatores motivaram a realização do presente estudo para caracterizar a gestão de processos de negócio das IES brasileiras e identificar oportunidade de melhoria na gestão de processos. Para alcançar este objetivo, foi realizada uma revisão bibliográfica sistemática e uma pesquisa de campo. A revisão sistemática abordou estudos empíricos quantitativos sobre o tema, em duas bases de dados: ISI/Web of Science e Scopus com a finalidade de construir um framework dos aspectos que melhoram os resultados de BPM. A pesquisa de campo envolveu a aplicação de um questionário online (survey) a uma amostra de 139 IES brasileiras com a finalidade de caracterizar como essas instituições estão gerenciando os seus processos. Foi possível constatar que a gestão de processos está presente em mais de 90% das instituições pesquisadas em diferentes níveis de adoção, sendo um tema com importância crescente para 82% delas. A análise dos dados dessa amostra à luz da revisão bibliográfica e do referencial teórico permitiu a identificação de oportunidades de melhoria na gestão de processos nas IES e a proposição de uma agenda de pesquisa para estudos futuros. Outra contribuição desta pesquisa é a possibilidade de utilização dos resultados para benchmarking (análise comparativa) permitindo as IES avaliarem sua posição em relação aos concorrentes na gestão de processos. / The interest of organizations in managing business processes or BPM (Business Process Management) has increased in the last years worldwide, and its main motivator is the reduction of costs by means of more efficient processes. Just as other organizations, higher education institutions also seek to enhance their management and have received greater political and academic attention worldwide because of the value generation for the regional communities. In Brazil, private higher education institutions, which represent 88,17% of the educational institutions, face the challenge of the formation of great educational groups, increasing the demand to restructure based on the reduction of costs. In the case of public Brazilian higher education institutions, the enhancing of management is promoted by government initiatives, such as the National Program of Public Management and Debureaucratization - GesPública, which includes the management of business processes in its foundations. There are still few empirical studies detailing the adoption of this management approach, and none of them characterize the processes management among higher education institutions. Such factors motivated this study to characterize the management of business processes of Brazilian higher education institutions and identify improvement opportunities in the management of processes. In order to reach this aim, a sistematic bibliographic review and a field research were carried out. The sistematic review approached quantitative empirical studies on the subject, in two data bases: ISI/Web of Science and Scopus, aiming at building a framework of the aspects which improved the results of BPM. The field research involved the application of an online questionnaire to a sample of 139 Brazilian higher education institutions seeking to chacarterize how this institutions are managing their processes. It was possible to verify that the processes management exists in more than 90% of the studied institutions in different adoption levels, and this is a subject with an increasing importance for 82% of them. The analysis of the data of this sample based on the bibliographic review and the theoretical background allowed the identification of improvement opportunities in the processes management of higher education institutions and the proposing of a research agenda for subsequent studies. Another contribution of this study is the possibility of using the results for benchmarking, allowing the insititutions to evaluate their position in relation to the competitors in the processes management.

Um modelo de projeto de melhoria em planejamento e controle da produção para pequenas e médias empresas. / An improvement project model in production planning and control for small and medium-sized enterprises.

Objetivos: responder às seguintes questões de pesquisa: (1) Como gerenciar um projeto de melhoria de processos na Pequena e Média Empresa? (2) Quais são os fatores críticos para a implantação bem-sucedida de um modelo de projeto de melhoria de processos? Fundamentação teórica: Ao analisar a literatura, foi possível mapear três principais características da gestão das Pequenas e Médias Empresas: (1) Planejamento e Controle da Produção deficientes, (2) informalidade na execução dos processos e (3) falta de mensuração de resultados. O modelo de projeto de melhoria de processos proposto neste trabalho parte de um entendimento de que as caraterísticas (2) e (3) explicam (1) em grande medida. Metodologia: Este trabalho utilizou a pesquisa-ação para validar um modelo de projeto de melhoria em Planejamento e Controle da Produção para Pequenas e Médias Empresas. O modelo baseia-se no método DMAIC e utiliza o BPM, um Sistema de Gerenciamento de Resultados e ferramentas da qualidade para formalizar os processos de Planejamento e Controle da Produção e mensurar os seus resultados. Resultados: Esta pesquisa mostra que é possível realizar melhorias nos processos de Planejamento e Controle da Produção de Pequenas e Médias Empresas através da utilização de um modelo de projeto de melhoria estruturado baseado no método DMAIC. Com a utilização do modelo proposto os processos de planejamento e controle puderam ser formalizados e os seus resultados mensurados na empresa estudada. Tanto a formalização de processos quanto a mensuração dos resultados impactaram positivamente os processos de Planejamento e Controle da Produção. A formalização do processo ajudou a disseminar o conhecimento das atividades entre os funcionários da Pequena e Média Empresa e diminuiu consideravelmente a improvisação nos processos. Além disso, a formalização dos processos possibilitou que as áreas envolvidas no gerenciamento dos pedidos da empresa se comunicassem melhor e com isso foi possível identificar uma série de deficiências no processo. Por fim, a mensuração de resultados permitiu identificar problemas que não eram conhecidos pelos agentes do processo da empresa estudada. Contribuições: São duas as contribuições principais desta pesquisa. A primeira contribuição é de origem prática e está relacionada à falta de detalhamento ou até mesmo de um roteiro sobre como implantar um modelo de projeto de melhoria de processos em uma Pequena e Média Empresa. Neste trabalho, apresenta-se um passo a passo para conduzir e implantar tal projeto no ambiente da Pequena e Média Empresa. A segunda contribuição é de origem teórica e diz respeito aos fatores que devem ser considerados na condução e implantação de um modelo de projeto de melhoria de processos para que a sua implantação seja bem-sucedida. / Objectives: answer the following research questions: (1) How to manage a process improvement project in Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises? (2) Which are the critical factors for the successful implementation of the proposed improvement project model? Theoretical background: In analyzing the literature, it was possible to map three main characteristics of SMEs management: (1) poor Production Planning and Control, (2) informality in the execution of process and (3) lack of measurement of results. The proposed improvement project model in this work starts with an understanding that the characteristics (2) and (3) explain (1) to a great extent. Methodology: This study used the action research to validate an improvement project model of Production Planning and Control in Small and Medium Enterprises. The model is based on the DMAIC method and uses BPM, a Performance Management System and quality tools to formalize the Production Planning and Control processes and measure their results. Results: This research shows that it is possible to carry out improvements in the Production Planning and Control processes of the Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises through the use of a structured improvement model based on the DMAIC method. With the use of the proposed model, the Production Planning and Control processes could be formalized and their results measured. Both the process formalization and the results measurement positively affected the Production Planning and Control of the company studied. The process formalization helped to disseminate the knowledge of the activities among the employees of the Small and Medium- Sized Enterprise and considerably reduced the need of improvisation in the processes. In addition, the process formalization allowed the different areas of the company to communicate better and with this it was possible to identify a series of problems in the order management process. Finally, the measurement of results allowed us to identify problems that were not known to the process users. Contributions: There are two main contributions in this research. The first, of a practical matter, is related to the lack of a roadmap on how to implement a process improvement model in a Small and Medium-Sized Enterprise. This study provide a step-by-step guide to implement a process improvement project in the Small and Medium-Sized enterprise environment. The second, of a theoretical matter, refers to the factors that must be considered for the successful implementation of an improvement project model.

Diplomová práce se zabývá vlivem, který má implementace aplikace Enterprise Resource Planning na procesy a lidi v dané společnosti. Soustřeďuje se hlavně na změny v procesech, které tato implementace vyvolává a hodnotí jejich efektivnost pomocí příslušných metod, které jsou čerpány z literárních zdrojů. Dále je také zaměřena na to, jaký vliv měla implementace na zaměstnance společnosti a jak je jimi vnímána. Tento vliv a jeho vnímání jsou vyhodnoceny na základě výsledků výzkumu formou dotazníkového šetření. Návrhová část poté zahrnuje doporučení, jak zavádět do firemního prostředí danou aplikace efektivněji a také jakým způsobem lze tuto aplikace uvést do firmy tak, aby byla zaměstnanci vnímána jako cenný pracovní nástroj, který zajistí pro správný chod společnosti.

Entwicklung eines Modells zur Messung der Agilität eines Unternehmens

aus der Einleitung: ...Ziel ist es, ein wissenschaftlich fundiertes AMM (Agile Maturity Models) zu entwickeln, das jedoch auch in der Praxis anwendbar ist. Um dieses Ziel zu erreichen und die Forschungsfrage zu beantworten, wird mit Hilfe des Design-Science-Research (DSR) ein AMM entwickelt. Für das konkrete Vorgehensmodell wird die DSR-Methode nach Peffers, Tuunanen, Rothenberger und Chatterjee (2007) angewandt. Zunächst werden in der Studie kurz die theoretischen Grundlagen zur Agilität und Reifegradmessung vorgestellt. Der folgende Abschnitt beschäftigt sich mit der DSR-Methode und der iterativen AMM-Entwicklung. Es folgen ein Pre-Test sowie eine Evaluierung des AMM. Abschließend rundet ein Fazit den Beitrag dieser Studie mit Vorschlägen für zukünftige Forschung ab.

A gestão por processos passou a ser uma demanda nos novos tempos por proporcionar uma solução possível para os desafios que se anunciam a cada instante. A pesquisa objetivou utilizá-la para otimizar um processo de aquisição bibliográfica, considerando sua interferência na estrutura funcional, organizacional e financeira da biblioteca. A presente pesquisa caracteriza-se como qualitativa quanto à natureza e como dedutiva, quanto à abordagem teórica. O meio utilizado para investigação foi o estudo de caso. O campo de aplicação da pesquisa foi a Biblioteca do Centro Federal de Educação Tecnológica Celso Suckow da Fonseca (CEFET/RJ), campus Petrópolis. Através do mapeamento chegou-se ao registro, à compreensão e à normalização deste processo, além de considerar fatores externos e internos que influenciam direta ou indiretamente na efetividade do processo, o que fundamentou melhorias identificadas como necessárias e que, uma vez implementadas, refletirão na atuação da biblioteca diante do atendimento às demandas por serviços de informação. O padrão de modelagem adotado foi o Business Process Management Notation (BPMN). A modelagem em questão permitiu a identificação de problemas, e evidenciou as implicações dos fatores identificados e considerados no contexto do processo. Esta análise acrescentou melhorias e mudanças diretas no processo gerando a proposta de um novo modelo para o processo de aquisição bibliográfica para a biblioteca. A pesquisa contribui para a área de Engenharia de produção no que diversifica a aplicação de suas ferramentas no benefício a gestão de outras áreas como a Biblioteconomia e Documentação. / For decades, the dynamics of technological production and globalization have led to changes not only in the way a product or service is produced, but in their whole context. In recent times, the process management became a requirement and a solution to future challenges which frequently arise. The objective of this research is its application to a bibliographic acquisition process optimization, since this process interferes in the functional, organizational and budgetary structure of a library. This research is characterized as qualitative in its nature and as deductive in its theoretical approach and a case study is used. The research application field is the Library of the Centro Federal de Educação Tecnológica Celso Suckow da Fonseca (CEFET / RJ) Petropolis campus. A process mapping aims at the comprehension, standardization and registration of the process. Besides, external and internal factors that directly or indirectly influence in the effectiveness of the process are considered. Thereby, the basis to support improvements to be implemented in the library's activities are set. These reflect in the fulfillment of the demand for information services. The Business Process Management Notation (BPMN) is the modeling standard adopted, i.e. it is the basis for the modeling of the process. The modeling in question allowed the identification of problems, and evidenced the implications of the factors identified and considered in the context of the process. This analysis added improvements and direct changes in the process which resulted in a proposal for a new model for the bibliographic acquisition process for the library. The research contributes to the area of Production Engineering by diversifying the applications of its tools and results inmanagerial benefits in other areas such as Librarianship and Documentation.

Seit einigen Jahren erlangt die Thematik "Wissen und Umgang mit Wissen in Organisationen" bzw. "Wissensmanagement" nicht nur in der Unternehmenspraxis, sondern auch in der Wissenschaft zunehmende Aufmerksamkeit. Wissenschaftler und Praktiker widmen sich verstärkt der Fragestellung, Wissen erfolgreich zu managen und betrachten Wissen als Quelle für nachhaltige Wettbewerbsvorteile. Hierfür bedarf es eines Umdenkens im Management dahingehend, den Umgang mit Wissen in den Vordergrund sämtlicher Aktivitäten zu stellen. Trotz der zahlreichen Publikationen zur Thematik ist bisher nur ein geringes Maß an Einheitlichkeit in den einschlägigen Begriffen und Theorien erreicht worden, das dem veränderten Stellenwert von Wissen umfassend gerecht würde. Die Vielzahl der Publikationen und deren Heterogenität lassen darauf deuten, daß es sich bei Wissen und dem Umgang mit Wissen um ein höchst komplexes Thema handelt. Zugleich zeigt sich, daß die Thematik keineswegs ausschließlich in das Forschungsgebiet der Betriebswirtschaftslehre fällt. Auch aus anderen Wissenschaftsdisziplinen liegt eine Vielzahl von Veröffentlichungen vor, so z.B. aus den Gebieten Epistemologie, Soziologie, Kognitionspsychologie, Kreativitätsforschung, Bibliotheks- und Informationswissenschaften, Informatik und Pädagogik. Dabei betrachten die verschiedenen Disziplinen jeweils spezifische Fragestellungen und diskutieren die Thematik aus verschiedenen Blickwinkeln, mit jeweils unterschiedlichen Erkenntniszielen und Methoden. Obgleich die vorhandene Literatur eine überaus heterogene Struktur aufweist und die meisten Beiträge eher explorativer Natur sind, scheint die Schlußfolgerung gerechtfertigt, Wissen und den Umgang mit Wissen als interdisziplinäres Forschungsgebiet anzusehen. Allerdings existiert bislang kein in sich geschlossener Ansatz, der die verschiedenen Stränge in einen einheitlichen Bezugsrahmen vereint. Jüngst sind aber erste Bemühungen erkennbar, um Forschungsansätze aus verschiedenen Wissenschaftsgebieten zu integrieren. Vor diesem Hintergrund besteht ein wesentliches Ziel dieser Dissertation, die vorhandene Literatur aufzuarbeiten und auszuwerten, um zugleich Ansatzpunkte für zukünftige Forschungsarbeiten zu identifizieren. Bei der Aufarbeitung der Literatur wird die Vielfältigkeit und Heterogenität der Publikationen berücksichtigt, um möglichst ein breites Spektrum abzudecken. Damit leistet die Arbeit einen Beitrag zur weiteren Integration interdisziplinärer Forschungsergebnisse auf dem Gebiet "Wissen und Umgang mit Wissen in Organisationen". Als Anknüpfungspunkt wurde dabei die Wissensbasis einer Organisation gewählt, die in vielen Veröffentlichungen im Mittelpunkt steht. In der Arbeit werden unterschiedliche Möglichkeiten zur Systematisierung vorgestellt. Darauf aufbauend wird ein eigener Systematisierungsansatz entwickelt, der auf den Grundunterscheidungen nach Arten des Wissens (Wissensarten), Trägern des Wissens (Wissensträgern) und Prozessen des Umgangs mit Wissen (Wissensprozessen) basiert. Die Tragfähigkeit des Ansatzes soll dadurch überprüft werden, inwieweit eine solche Unterscheidung in vorhandenen Konzepten zum Wissensmanagement enthalten ist. Da die Wissensbasis in einem unmittelbaren Zusammenhang mit den Wertschöpfungsprozessen des Unternehmen steht, besteht zudem die Möglichkeit, den Systematisierungsansatz mit verschiedenen Managementebenen im Sinne einer Rahmenkonzeption für eine wissensorientierte Unternehmensführung zu verknüpfen. Ein solches Rahmenkonzept erlaubt es, Gestaltungsempfehlungen für ein Management des Wissens von und in Organisationen abzuleiten.
