Prototype of a Fragmented Document Editor

Jutterström, Jenny January 2009 (has links)

Signifikant Svenska AB supplies an information system called Assert, developed to facilitate the aftermarket sales in the manufacturing and subcontractor domains. The information system offers companies and organizations the possibility to gather their product information in a joint database in order to increase the information availability and distribution.

The management of the documents is an important part of the customer need and can be improved in order to also support document maintenance directly in Assert. FormWorks-Plus: Improved Pre-processor for VecTor Analysis Software

Sadeghian, Vahid 21 March 2012 (has links)
VecTor© is a suite of computer programs developed for nonlinear finite element analysis of reinforced concrete. A graphics-based pre-processor (FormWorks) was developed for 2D concrete membrane structures, greatly contributing to the software’s utility and success. However, modeling other types of structures is a time consuming process, requiring manual definition of the finite element mesh, loads and analysis parameters in standard text files. A user-friendly pre-processor is required for the entire suite of programs if they are to be of greater use to design engineers. The purpose of this study is to develop an updated version of FormWorks, FormWorks 3.5, which is more user-friendly and compatible with the improvements made in VecTor2 over the past ten years. In addition, an extended version of FormWorks, FormWorks-Plus, will be created for the remaining VecTor programs with a wide range of viewing features, and facilities for specification of node coordinates, elements, loads and material properties.

DSP-Based Single Phase Small scale Photovoltaic Energy Conversion System

Lee, Szu-Hsien 04 July 2003 (has links)
This thesis proposes an implementation of a DSP-Based single-phase small-scale photovoltaic energy conversion system. The conversion system converts dc power generated by photovoltaic cells into ac power. A digital signal processor and a combined circuit with push-pull and full-bridge architectures are used in this study to reduce the complexity of the circuit design. Several operation and protection functions, such as maximum power point tracking, over/under voltage protection, over current protection, over/under frequency protection and detection of islanding operation are considered in the design. The operation performance of the conversion system at different stages is analyzed. The proposed conversion system can supply the local loads and feed excess power to the utility network with unit power factor (grid-connection mode), or it can supply loads exclusively (stand-alone mode). The simulation and experimentation results are presented and discussed to show the performance of the photovoltaic system and verify the feasibility of the proposed energy conversion system.

Micro-Network Processor : A Processor Architecture for Implementing NoC Routers

Martin Rovira, Julia, Manuel Fructoso Melero, Francisco January 2007 (has links)

Routers are probably the most important component of a NoC, as the performance of the whole network is driven by the routers’ performance. Cost for the whole network in terms of area will also be minimised if the router design is kept small. A new application specific processor architecture for implementing NoC routers is proposed in this master thesis, which will be called µNP (Micro-Network Processor). The aim is to offer a solution in which there is a trade-off between the high performance of routers implemented in hardware and the high level of flexibility that could be achieved by loading a software that routed packets into a GPP. Therefore, a study including the design of a hardware based router and a GPP based router has been conducted. In this project the first version of the µNP has been designed and a complete instruction set, along with some sample programs, is also proposed. The results show that, in the best case for all implementation options, µNP was 7.5 times slower than the hardware based router. It has also behaved more than 100 times faster than the GPP based router, keeping almost the same degree of flexibility for routing purposes within NoC.
