Utformningen av systemet är från början utformat för</p><p>ett annat chassi än Mercedes vilket gör att det passar dåligt i denna bilmodell. Det är</p><p>framförallt lasthöjden som påverkas negativt. Huvudmålen med arbetet var därför att</p><p>minska vikten på systemet samt att få ner lasthöjden.</p><p>Arbetet resulterade i en ny konstruktion där funktionerna är desamma som i nuvarande</p><p>system men under skalet har en stor förändring skett. Användandet av aluminium som</p><p>material medförde att vikten halverades och nykonstruktion av systemet gjorde att</p><p>lasthöjden minskades avsevärt.</p><p>Ritningar på systemets delar är framtagna för att möjliggöra en framtida prototyptillverkning,</p><p>något som företaget önskar genomföra under våren 2006.</p>

Framtagning av ny bärare för kassettöverdelar

Fiomi Diagnostics AB manufactures and develops point of care cassettes for bloodsamples to determine risk of myocardial infarction and heart failure for use within thehealthcare sector. The cassette contains of three main parts; top, bottom and a plasticchip. The bottom parts are delivered directly from the supplier to the assembly linewhile the top part has to be prepared with a membrane for blood separation byultrasonic welding before it can be sent to the assembly line. At present the top parts are provided with the membranes a floor below theassembly line and therefore have to be transported by carriers to the assembly line.These carriers are currently designed as large plates (400 x 600 mm) with a capacityof 120 top parts, but they are space consuming at the ultrasonic welder as well at theassembly line.To solve this lack of space the operators often place the platesdiagonally behind themselves where room is available. This causes ergonomicproblems due to the many twists of the upper body conducted at both processes. To solve the ergonomic problems this thesis work were initiated to develop a newmore agile carrier between the two processes. During the thesis work TRIZ wereused to trigger creative concepts, choose among them and combine the good ideasfrom different concepts. After the conceptual phase different manufacturing methodswere explored. To be certain that the concept could be manufactured by specificmanufacturing process different manufactures were contacted to help out with whatwould make the concept suitable for the specific method. The manufacturing methodsexamined were: injection molding, plastic and aluminum extrusion, vacuum molding,additive manufacturing and sheet metal bending. Prototypes of the three best concepts were created by 3D-printing to be evaluatedby the operators whom in the future might be using the new carriers. Complementedwith an evaluation of the carriers economic and performance data, a recommendationof which carrier should be selected were concluded. The result was a carrier manufactured by sheet metal bending with a pattern cut outwhich allows for the top parts to hang in the carrier. The design has a capacity of 60top parts which is half of the current carrier, but with a base area of a sixth of thecurrent carrier gives the new design an increase in surface efficiency by 300 %. Due tothe low order size the sheet metal alternative was the cheapest alternative. / Fiomi Diagnostics AB tillverkar och utvecklar patientnära blodprovskassetter för attidentifiera risk för hjärtinfarkt och hjärtsvikt för att användas inom hälsovården.Kassetterna består av tre huvuddelar, en överdel, en underdel samt ett plastchip.Underdelarna kommer direkt från leverantör till monteringen medan överdelarna måsteförses med ett blodseparationsmembran genom ultraljudssvets innan det kan skickas tillmonteringen. I dagsläget förses överdelarna med blodseparationsmembran på våningen undermonteringen och måste därför transporteras på bärare till monteringen. Dessa bärare äridag stora plåtar (400 x 600 mm) som rymmer 120 kassettöverdelar, men som ärskrymmande både vid ultraljudsprocessen och vid monteringen. För att lösa platsbristenställer operatörerna dessa plåtar ofta snett bakom sig där plats finns. Detta skaparergonomiska problem då många vridningar av överkroppen sker vid båda processerna. För att lösa de ergonomiska problemen initierades detta examensarbete för att ta fram enny smidigare bärare mellan processerna. I arbetet så används TRIZ för att genererakreativa koncept samt sålla bland dessa och kombinera det som var bra från ett koncepttill andra. Efter konceptfasen utforskades olika produktionstekniker för att tillverkakoncepten. För att veta att koncepten kunde tillverkas för tänkt tillverkningsmetodkontaktades tillverkare och tillfrågades vad som krävdes för att metoden skulle varagenomförbar. Tillverkningsmetoder som utforskades var; formsprutning, extrusion avplast samt aluminium, vakuumformning, additiv tillverkning samt plåtbockning. Prototyper togs fram med hjälp av 3D-printer av de tre bästa alternativen för att utvärderasav operatörerna som i framtiden kan komma att använda dessa. Tillsamman med enutvärdering av bärarnas ekonomi och prestanda utsågs en rekommendation av vilkenbärare som bör användas. Resultatet blev en bärare tillverkad genom plåtbockning med utskuret mönster för att låtakassettöverdelarna hänga i den. Designen har en kapacitet för 60 kassettöverdelar vilketär en halvering av den befintliga, men basytan för den nya designen är en sjättedel av denbefintliga bäraren vilket ger en yteffektivitetsökning med 300 %. Då seriestorleken avbärarna var relativt låg så blev plåtalternativet också billigaste av alternativet.

<p>The thesis work was conducted with the company Free2Move AB. The company is located in Halmstad and is an acting provider of wireless communications for industrial customers, mainly focused on Bluetooth™ technology.</p><p>In today's society most people have their music on their computer, MP3 player or mobile phone. What if you could avoid the cable between your sound system and sound source and transfer music wirelessly instead? </p><p>Together with the company's engineers, I have developed a new comprehensive product for wireless music transmission. My task was to design the outside of the product and then together with the firm's engineers and market agency, develop its external components from both an aesthetic and technical point of view. The electronics design was created by the company engineers.</p><p>The hope of profiling on the market set the bar from the beginning. Free2Move AB did not want to emphasize the project too hard in the beginning, it was the work that has led to what it is today. However, a strong emphasis was places on production ability and cost. Approximately in the middle of the project we realized that it would be impossible to launch the product. Competing products currently sell for around 600 SEK couple. We would have to sell our product for about 1500 SEK each. The economic factor has not prevented the thesis from attaining its original intent, but only changed it to a concept solution instead of going directly into production. Still, great consideration has been given to production ability and production cost. </p><p>The project included the design and product development. Therefore, I chose to work as much as possible according to SVID Design Process which is a process that is used as a model for design in product development.</p>

Konstruktion av en mobil nödduschanläggning : En produktutveckling åt Gia Premix AB

Projektet har utförts som ett examensarbete på uppdrag av Gia Premix AB som avslutning på programmet högskoleingenjör i maskinteknik vid Karlstads universitet under våren 2018.   Examensarbetet behandlar framtagning och konstruktion av en mobil nödduschanläggning för breddning av Gia Premix sortiment. Projektet grundar sig i att företaget under senare tid sett behov av att ha en mobil nödduschanläggning i sitt sortiment. Då man inte har någon konstruktion i dagsläget valdes det att lägga detta som ett examensarbete. Arbetet behandlar alla ingående delar i projektet från bakgrund via metodval till konstruktion och slutsats.   I konstruktionsdelen av produkten har hållfasthetsberäkningar genomförts för att kunna dimensionera material i konstruktionen, dessa har utförts både manuellt men även med hjälp av FEM-analys i datormiljö där geometrier var komplicerade. Framställning av komponenter har gjorts med hjälp av CAD och utifrån dessa har ett komplett ritningsunderlag tagits fram.   Alla mål som var uppsatta för projektet är uppfyllda. Ett 40-tal ritningar har tagits fram för att ligga som grund för en framtida tillverkning av prototyp. Isolering av rör samt anslutning av duschenheter till pumpsystem avgränsades från projektet och kan återfinnas som förslag till lösningar under avsnittet förslag på vidare arbete. Målet kring att lämna förslag på lösningar till delarna som innefattas av avgränsningarna har uppfyllts med gott resultat. / This thesis is a project assigned by Gia Premix within the program for bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering at Karlstad University during spring 2018.   This project contains the design of a mobile emergency shower unit. The project is assigned by Gia Premix with a goal to develop a new product for their portfolio of emergency showers to expand the range of products on the market. Today Gia Premix doesn’t have a department for design and development of new products, because of this Gia Premix choose to do a collaboration and have a project together with Karlstad University.   During the project analyses of stresses in the construction has been made to make sure that the product is safe and secure to use. These analyses have been made both manually and with help of FEM-analyses in computer environment. With a CAD program 3D-models has been modelled. From these models a complete set of drawings on the product has been made.   The project has reached its design goals of a new product for the company with success. Drawings of about 40 components and assemblies is made as a base for manufacturing of a prototype for evaluation. Insulation of pipes and connection of shower units to the pressure system is excluded from the project. Ideas for solutions on these parts can be found under the chapter of ideas for later work. The goal for the details in the excluded part is also reached with good success.

Utveckling av spridarmekanism för drönarbaserad skogsvård : Från idé till färdigt koncept

Within forestry it is common to fertilize approximately 10 years before the final felling of the forest. Forest fertilization increases the volume of the forest and contributes to a better climate and economic gain for the forest owners. Fertilization is mainly performed by using customized spreading tractors or spread by using helicopters. In recent years another solution has evolvedbeen developed by using UAV’s (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) to spread the fertilizer granules. Spreading of fertilizer granules with a UAV aimsis considered to be a better solution in terms of a environmental point of viewmore environmentally sustainable compared to spreading granules with a tractor or helicopter. This bachelor thesis has aimed to develop a complete designconstruction basis for a spreader solution system in cooperation with Nordluft Automation AB. The spreader solution system has been designed to be applicable on a UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) and to be used for spreading fertilizing granules over forest areas. The spreading of fertilizing granules increases the volume of the forest and contributes to a better climate and economic gain for the forest owners.   The product development process of the spreader initiated with interpreting the spoken needs of the end product into quantifiable metrics and a product specification. External and internal search of information within the product area was performed to gain better knowledge of spreader solutions and existing products on the market. After the search of information, several brainstorming sessions was performed to generate concepts of a possible spreader solutionsystem. Early in the process it was decided that the generated concepts should involve a modular product architecture. The product development process was performed with “Design for Manufacturing and Assembly” methodologygood manufacturability in mind to achieve a flexible and economically sustainable spreading solution useable for different kind of forest fertilizers. The concept generation resulted in a spreading system with two modules. One module for controlling the flow of granules and one that had a purpose ofmodule for spreading out the granules. 6 concepts of each module went on to a concept evaluation process where the winner was decided by using the Pugh matrix system. The final concept consisted of a knife-gate valve as the flow control module and a rotating disc with vanes module for spreading out the granules. The spreader system is connected to the power supply and control hub located on the drone, it is then mounted on the granule container that is the mainframe of the drone. This allows a desired amount of granules to flow to the rotation disc for spreading. Detail design of the concept was performed with the Computer Aided Design (CAD) -program SolidWorks. Theoretical calculations of the spreader solutions components were made to ensure that the spreader solution was correctly dimensioned according to the product specification. An experiment of granular mass flow was performed to dimension the flow control modules orifice correctly since it was regarded as one of the most critical needs stated by Nordluft. The end result of this thesis may be used by Nordluft Automation AB to develop and manufacture a prototype of the spreader solution.

Utveckling av instyrningsfunktionen hos ett dockningsinterface

<p>In this project the task has been to develop a product that will facilitate an operation for personnel working in a sterilization center. The operation is to steer the front of a loading trolley into the chamber of an autoclave, a so-called docking. The moment is complicated because the margins to deviate from ideal docking position and still succeed, is very small.</p><p>The principal Getinge's desire was that the product could be retrofitted at the customers on their existing systems. One of the demands was that the product should fit two types of trolleys, one with a adjustable working height and one with a fixed working height. Getinge is supposed to purchase the system from a subcontractor who shall manufacture it and the requirement from Getinge is that the cost of purchase mustn't exceed SEK 500</p><p>Initially principles, solving the problem was developed. These were presented in the form of sketches and CAD models. After evaluating the principles one of the them were selected as the winner and was further developed in a stage called primary construction. The winner was a mechanical system consisting of two units, one unit attached to the autoclave and one unit attached to the underside of the trolley.</p><p>The system's functionality was to facilitate the docking operation, allowing larger deviations from the ideal docking position, still with a successful docking. This was achieved by a conical design of the unit attached to the underside of the trolley.</p><p>The system was designed with respect to facilitate retrofitting. Components and materials were selected to ensure a long life-span. It was also taken in account that the system should be ergonomic since it's operated by people.</p> / <p>Uppgiften i detta projekt har bestått av att ta fram en produkt som skall underlätta ett arbetsmoment för personal som arbetar på en sterilcentral. Arbetsmomentet utgörs av att styra in en lastvagns front i kammaren på en autoklav, en s.k. dockning. Momentet försvåras då marginalerna att avvika från ideal dockningsposition och ända lyckas med instyrningen är mycket små.</p><p>Uppdragsgivaren Getinge hade önskemål om att produkten skulle gå att eftermontera hos kunder på deras befintliga system. Ett av kraven som ställdes var att produkten skulle passa två typer av vagnar, en vagn med reglerbar arbetshöjd och en vagn med fix arbetshöjd. Getinge skall inte själva tillverka systemet utan köper in det från en underleverantör. Ett krav som Getinge har är att inköpspriset inte får överstiga 500 kr.</p><p>I ett första skede togs det fram olika principlösningar som kunde lösa uppgiften. Dessa presenterades i form av skisser och CAD-modeller. Efter utvärdering av principlösningarna valdes en "bästa" lösning ut som vidareutvecklades i ett steg som kallas primärkonstruktion. Den lösning som vidareutvecklades var en mekanisk lösning bestående av två enheter; en enhet som fästs på autoklaven och en enhet som fästs på undersidan av lastvagnarna.</p><p>Lösningens funktionalitet bestod i att underlätta instyrningen för användaren genom att möjliggöra dockning, trots större avvikelser från ideal dockningsposition. Detta åstadkoms genom en konisk utformning av enheten fäst på vagnens undersida.</p><p>Lösningen utformades med avseende på att underlätta eftermontering. Komponenter och material valdes för att säkerställa en lång livslängd hos produkten. Likaså togs hänsyn till ergonomin, i och med att det är människor som handhar systemet.</p>

<p>This bachelor’s degree thesis was conducted in mechanical engineering at Halmstad University during spring semester 2010 in close collaboration with the company Gremo AB, located in Ätran, Sweden. Gremo AB produces, developes and sales forest machines in both Sweden and on the international market.</p><p>Gremo AB belongs to one of the market leaders in forest industry, especially with their forwarder. In order to become a market leader even with their harvester, the company decided to change the harvester to have a swivel and a leveling driver cabin.</p><p>The aim with this bachelor’s degree thesis was to develop a design concept for the harvester driver cabin, which Gremo AB can apply on the new harvester. However, this bachelor’s degree thesis was limited to the outside design of the driver cabin. Further, the aim was to develop a smaller model in order to get a better feeling about the new driver cabin’s appearance.</p><p>By dint of different analysis we developed an edgy driver cabin with shared side posts and a lot of storage space on the outside. Additionally, there are options for more and adjustable lights, which was one of Gremos preferences. Also the inside storage space has become larger with better comfort for the driver. In case of underline our result we developed a smaller prototype.</p><p>The result of this thesis has been passed on to Gremo AB for further development.</p>
