En företagsmodell för modernt industriellt byggande

Gerth, Robert January 2008 (has links)
<p>Industrial housing is the strategy of the future for efficient housing. The strategy exploits the principles and work methods of production systems and is applied to the construction industry. Traditionally the construction sector considers production of one-of-a-kind products as de facto solutions. However, this strategy requires new paradigms, supporting methodologies and business models. The purpose of this thesis is to present and describe a business model that supports the strategy, which meet the project oriented market’s one-of-a-kind demands with customized multi-story houses. </p><p>Industrial manufacturing of customized houses can be accomplished by industrial strategies, such as Mass Customization. The prerequisites are that the organizational properties, mentioned in the list below, have to be integrated and adjusted to the elementary principles of industrial production and Mass Customization.</p><p>Fundamental philosophy of the Company</p><p>Organizational Structure and Management </p><p>Market and Business Process</p><p>Product ModelProduction System</p><p>Information and Communication Systems</p><p>In this thesis an industrial approach was used to identify the fundamental characteristics in industrial manufacturing and Mass Customization, and its influence of the organizational properties for industrial housing. The foundations of industrial production are a standardized product structure, standardized processes, manual and machine operations, process oriented production, and controlled material flow. Mass Customization is a strategy to achieve customized but industrial produced products with the same efficiency as mass production. It is based on standardized product models, which can be configured and flexible production systems, in which process and resources can be reconfigured in a systematic way. </p><p>On the basis of this a normative business model (The MC-House) was developed, empirical tested and validated through case studies. The truck manufacture, Scania CV AB, and the industrial housing entrepreneur, NCC Komponent AB, were investigated by interviews and company archives. The result showed that on organizational property level the business model was generic and valid for industrial manufacturing of discrete configured products. In what extent individual products could be configured and produced with a certain performance, require different designs within the organizational properties. The more individual configuration that could be managed, the more complex the executive management gets. To achieve an effective business the complexity has to be met by definition, systemizing, and integration on the corresponding organizational hierarchic level as the configuration is managed.</p><p>When considered the fundamental characteristics of construction, buildings has to be assembled there it will be used, the result also showed that the production system for industrial housing should be divided in two. One stationary manufacturing system, the factory, and one mobile assemble system at the construction site. Another condition that has to be considered is that the generic product model should be able to meet the local requirements.</p><p>Further the study indicated that the a industrial housing company is different from a traditional construction company, regarding the organizational structure, the market management, production approach, product model handling, business and project processes. Within an industrial housing company the activity is process oriented around the continuous production process. This mean that a house or a project cannot be considered as strictly unique, rather just another order which is made of standardized components, produced in the same process and with same recourses as previous and future other orders. In fact an industrial housing company has more in common with organizations of industrial manufacturing than with classical construction entrepreneurs organized for project oriented and hand craft production.</p>

Ombyggnation av en svetscell : Utformning av inmatningssystemet / Reconstruction of a welding cell : Design of the feed mechanism

Alvarsson, Kristoffer January 2015 (has links)
This report deals with a project that´s been initiated on the behalf of Morgan Sahlin at Wermland Mechanics AB in Töcksfors and is about to look over and develop a input system for a welding cell. The project is done in the course Degree of Bachelor of Science in Innovation and Design Engineering, MSGC12 at Karlstad University and comprises 22,5 credits. Today the company has received a shelf in the production where one of the steps is to apply a reinforcement by welding. At their disposal, they have a welding cell that today is just standing still, taking up space and costs money. The welding cell has previously been semi-automatic but the company now wish to rebuild it so it instead becomes fully automatic. The goal is to develop a concept that suits the company's operations and that at the end of the project gaze upon a functioning fully automatic welding cell. The project follows a project model based on the product development process with the phases pilot study, concept generation, concept selection, concept description, layout and detail design. Each phase is supplemented with specially selected design tools. During the process analyzes, observations, interviews and site visits has also been carried out. After the pilot study that was based on observations, analysis and gathering of information, a specification took form where the requirements and requests, of what the final product is expected to achieve, were listed. The specification resulted in the project´s first problem: "How should a feed mechanism to an automated welding cell be designed that allow room for shelves and reinforcements, with focus on the user-friendliness?". This problem was the foundation of the upcoming concept generation and the specification became the basis of the choice of concept. The process resulted in two concepts that were presented to the client and which corresponded to the established definition of the problem. Both concepts are based on exploiting how the details arrives and means that they are entered directly into the welding cell on the pallets. The concepts differ in how the shelves are stacked on the pallets, one comprises a solution where the shelves are laying down while in the other one they are standing up. The solution suits the company well and can be adapted to most of the operations in their production.

Kristensson, Jessica January 2007 (has links)

Hedenfeldt, Markus, Stigbäck, Johan January 2008 (has links)

Automation of packing process

Zia, Muhammad Irfan, Cortés Mora, Felipe January 2008 (has links)
<p>The design work that precedes the automation of a process is not an easy job. Each one of the variables and possible risks involved in process must be carefully considered before implement the final design as well the requirements in performance and cost. However automate a dangerous, inefficient or just uncomfortable task entails many benefits that make up for the long period of design process. A well automated line will benefit the production with quality, productivity and capacity among other profits. In this project the immediate objective is to automate the “SANDFLEX Hacksaw blades” packaging process in the plant that SNAEurope owns in Lidköping. Actually the packing is completely manual. One operator packs the blades into the boxes meanwhile one more operator loads and unloads the packing station with empty and full boxes respectively. The task is both, tiring and uncomfortable for the operators as well inefficient for the company since the production rate is limited.</p><p>Analyzing and observing carefully product and process, different theories and strategies to achieve the goal were developed. Three are the possible solutions to solve the problem, with different levels of automation and technologies. The robotic solution uses an articulated robot to perform all the tasks; the hybrid solution uses pneumatic devices to pack the blades and an articulated robot to support the station loading and unloading the boxes. Finally the pneumatic solution uses only pneumatic devices, which hold, open and close, push box and blades using airpower; a few sensors detect positions and states, since a PLC coordinates and controls all process. By means of discussing these solutions with the company’s engineers and workers, after a deep literature study and two test of performance, was it possible to select the most suitable solution to accomplish the packaging task. The pneumatic solution is cheap and simple, but at the same time robust and reliable. This design performs the packaging task efficiently and fast. And more important, the operator passes from pack manually the blades to monitor the process.</p>

Modellering av beredningsprocess : Utveckling av arbetsmodell för produktionsberedning inom Scania / Modelling of machining preparation process : Development of a work model for production preparation within Scania

Hedlind, Mikael January 2007 (has links)
The conception machining preparation is here referred to the work that is done to enable and decide how machining shall be performed for one single type of part. Machining preparation results in a process plan for how production shall be performed. The purpose of this type of machining preparation is to achieve knowledge about how to produce the part for most efficient production and support the design engineer’s work within adaptation of the part to production. Here is described the author thesis work with producing a proposal for an foreseeable graphical description at the company Scania.</p><p>Scania has a description for how manufacturing preparation shall be done within the company. The description is named in Swedish to ’Beredning för Bearbetning och Plåtformning, Arbetsmodell för Scania’. Translated that will be ’Machining preparation for machining and sheet forming, work model for Scania’. The description is also called MPP (Machining Preparation Process). Scania whish to complement the work model with an Astrakan modelled graphical description.</p><p>Astrakan modelling is a method and a language to create business models. The Astrakan language for modelling has clear relationship with other language for modelling. Differential for Astrakan is the main idée that the method shall be an aid to describe a certain business in a simple way. Manager of the method has documented the method shortly. The notation and the set of rules are less detailed compared to closely related languages.</p><p>The graphical description is presented as a process model for machining preparation. To achieve the goal that the graphical description being foreseeable and at the same time being as unambiguous as possible it is complemented with two models to define conceptions. It is one model for conceptions used in machining preparation work and one model for conceptions in modelling language. The models define important conceptions and shall be used as an aid to interpret the process model for machining preparation as intended.</p><p>The purpose with the process model for machining preparation is to describe how machining preparation shall be performed. The viewpoint for the model is an person who is an machining preparation planner or an person who work in that area. The process model is divided in subprocesses and can be presented and read in different degrees of detail. The process model has the machining preparation plan as the object for refining.</p><p>This thesis work have concretely resulted in three models that can be used as an complement to the prior description of machining preparation work at Scania. The models give a process oriented view of the work model for machining preparation at Scania. This work have also given me and the workgroup for MPP work model a increased knowledge and understanding about modelling and interpretation of models.</p>

Karlsson, Maija January 2008 (has links)

Ytrengöring av alfa-diamond : En studie och urval av ytrengöringsmetoder för hårda beläggningar / Surface cleaning of alfa-diamond : A study and selection of surface cleaning methods for hard coatings

Morling, Jonas January 2010 (has links)
This goal of the thesis´ is to surface finish a diamond with an appropriate method. The method should be more effective than manual sandblasting, the current method in use. The part is small and it has a vital track that must be surface cleaned. This puts great demands on effective methods. The methods that are mentioned theoretically in the thesis are automatic sandblasting, tumbling and laser cleaning. A couple of methods were tested and evaluated. Automatic sandblasting was found to be most effective. That method gave an equal result compared to the manual sandblasting but with a fraction of the time compared to manual sandblasting. Within the thesis a capital budgeting have been done.</p><p>The conclusion of the thesis was that the automatic sandblasting machine should be used.</p>
