Mulheres Mil Program is one of the actions of the Plano Brazil Sem Miséria of federal govern, belonging to the productive inclusion field, together with other programs of professional qualification. These programs are carried out by institutions like Federal Institute, which by it creation law, it has like principle the economical and social development according to the local productive arrangements. The aim of Mulheres Mil Program is to promote the professional qualification to improve the insertion in the world of employment, and, consequently, the income. The orientations in this program, as well as, in other programs of professional qualification, comes from the international regulator organisms which prescribe indications to the countries in development education success, to understand that the education acts directly in the poverty reduction by the insertion of production and consumption. Thus this work has as objective to identify the main conditioning involved in the professional formation policy implantation in the Mulheres Mil Program in the Federal Institute of Paraná and the student women social insertion in the job market. The analysis carried out was predominantly qualitative, using documental diagnosis, later it was realized semi-structured recorded interview and questionary applied to the egress and drop out students respectively, all of them belonging to the group which entered in 2011 to the Federal Institute of Paraná, Umuarama Câmpus. It was observed that the professional formation proportioned to the women by the program inserted them to the informal job. Together with this fact there was no schooling elevation as expected in the beginning by the program, as well the proportioned formation leads the women trajectory to the common job, not related to the technological advances. Some conditionings imposed by the State organization which blocks the objectives of the program are reached are: 1) in the schooling elevation which is the objective of the MMP and it does not work in the practice; 2) in respect of entrepreneurship notions present in the formation documents, attending to a productive and the business-based conception; 3) in the Mulheres Mil Program to constitute like policy focused like the objective of poverty alleviation, assuming a compensatory dimension; 4) in the themes used like sustainable development, cooperative and entrepreneurship in the women basic formation, with the objective of making the women awareness of the shared responsibility in solving these problems; 5) in the social insertion aimed by the program which does not work in the practice, because the insertion almost reaches the formal job. The conditions imposed by the state organization for professional training in PMM emphasizes the adaptation to the capital system. / Este estudo trata da análise da política pública de formação profissional do Programa Mulheres Mil (PMM) e se vincula a linha de Pesquisa Instituição Educacional: Organização e Gestão. O PMM é uma das ações do Plano Brasil Sem Miséria do governo federal, pertencendo ao eixo inclusão produtiva, juntamente com outros programas de qualificação profissional. Estes programas são executados por instituições como o Instituto Federal que, de acordo com a lei de criação, tem como princípio o desenvolvimento econômico e social de acordo com os arranjos produtivos locais. O objetivo do PMM é promover a qualificação profissional para melhorar a inserção no mundo do trabalho e, consequentemente, a renda. As orientações contidas neste programa, bem como em outros programas de qualificação profissional, provém de organismos reguladores internacionais que prescrevem indicações para o sucesso da educação dos países em desenvolvimento, por entender que a educação age diretamente na diminuição da pobreza por meio da inserção na produção e no consumo. Assim, este trabalho tem como objetivo identificar os principais condicionantes envolvidos na implantação da política de formação profissional no PMM no Instituto Federal do Paraná e a inserção social das alunas no mercado do trabalho. Trata-se de pesquisa documental e empírica. Os dados empíricos foram coletados por meio de entrevista semiestruturada e questionário, cujos instrumentos foram aplicados às alunas egressas e evadidas respectivamente. Todas as entrevistadas pertenceram à turma que ingressou em 2011 no Instituto Federal do Paraná, Câmpus Umuarama. Observou-se que a formação profissional proporcionada às mulheres pelo PMM inseriu-as no trabalho informal, em outros casos a qualificação não resultou em nenhum tipo de inserção no trabalho. Aliado a este fato, não houve elevação da escolaridade, como almejado inicialmente pelo programa, bem como a formação proporcionada direciona a trajetória das mulheres para o trabalho simples, não relacionado aos avanços tecnológicos. Alguns condicionantes impostos pela organização do Estado, que impedem que os objetivos do programa sejam alcançados, são: 1) a elevação da escolaridade, que é um objetivo anunciado, não se concretiza na prática; 2) a abordagem do empreendedorismo presentes nos documentos representa a concepção produtivista e mercantilista; 3) o programa constitui-se em política focalizada com o objetivo de alívio da pobreza e assume uma dimensão compensatória; 4) a inserção de temas como desenvolvimento sustentável, cooperativismo e empreendedorismo na formação básica das mulheres tem o intuito de corresponsabilizar as mulheres na resolução destes problemas; 5) a inserção social objetivada pelo programa não se efetiva na prática, pois não atinge o trabalho formal. Os condicionantes impostos pela organização do Estado à formação profissional no PMM salienta a adaptação ao sistema do capital.

Försvarsmakten befinner sig i en transformation från ett insatsförsvar till ett invasionsförsvar. Anpassning sker vid Försvarsmaktens samtliga förband och berör all tjänstgörande personal. Denna studie har undersökt hur denna anpassning som stadfästes med försvarsbeslutet 2015 har avspeglat sig på den grundläggande officersutbildningen vid Försvarshögskolans Officersprogram. Studien har sin hemvist i de vetenskapliga fälten Military Innovation och Professional Military Education. Studien har bedrivits som en enfallstudie och har genom Michael Horowitz teorimodell Adoption Capacity Theory genomfört en tematisk analys utifrån tre övergripande teman; diffusion, resurser och organisation. Empirin i undersökningen har inhämtats genom intervjuer, officiella dokument och artiklar. Studiens resultat påvisar att ingen styrning om att anpassa den grundläggande officersutbildningen har utgått från Försvarsmakten. Vidare kan studien påvisa att Försvarsmakten och Försvarshögskolan har brister i det sätt myndigheterna kommunicerar med varandra. Studien uppfattar att det saknas en tydlig metod och en formell policy för hur denna myndighetssamverkan ska genomföras. Vidare kan studien konstatera att viss anpassning av utbildningen har genomförts, detta på initiativ av akademisk och militär personal tjänstgörande vid Officersprogrammet.

Quando excessivo, pode provocar consequencias negativas para o funcionamento dos organismos, sendo uma das causas de desencadeamento da depressão. Também conhecida como transtorno de humor, a depressão relaciona-se à limitação da atividade e do bem-estar dos indivíduos, comprometendo sua qualidade de vida. O suporte familiar refere-se às características psicológicas presentes nas relações familiares, ajudando os indivíduos no enfrentamento de situações estressantes e funcionando como fator de proteção contra o desenvolvimento de doenças mentais como a depressão. Os estudantes da educação profissionalizante correspondem a uma categoria pouco investigada no que se refere a estresse, depressão e suporte familiar, a qual está sujeita às resposabilidades escolares, às exigências profissionais e às expectativas do mercado de trabalho. Estes fatores podem funcionar como fontes de desencadeadoras de estresse, evoluindo para sintomas mais graves, como é o caso da depressão. O apoio da familia pode funcionar como fonte amortecedora do estresse e a audiência do suporte familiar como uma fator de risco para a depressão. Considerando este contexto, este estudo teve como objetivo investigar os níveis de estresse, a intensidade dos sintomas de depressão e a percepção do suporte familiar em estudantes de educação profissionalizante e identificar possíveis diferentes entre estes construtos, considerando variáveis como sexo, idade, número de filhos, estado civil, nível escolar, nível sócio-econonômico, trabalho, local de residência, atividades físicas e de lazer e crença religiosa. When excessive, can cause negative consequences for the functioning of organisms, being one of onset of depression. Also known as mood disorder, depression is related to activity limitation and well-being of individuals, affecting their quality of life. The Family Support refers to the psychological characteristics present in family relationships, assisting individuals in coping with stressful situations and working as a protective factor against the development of mental illnesses like depression. Studants of professional education correspond to a poorly investigated category with regard to stress, depression and family support, which is subject to shool responsibilities, the job requirements and expectations of the labor market. These factors can act as sources of stress triggering, progressing to more severe symptoms such as depression. Family support can act as a source of stress dramping and the absence of family support as a risk factor for depression. Oregon Women in Educational Administration: Profiles and an Analysis of Upward Career Mobility Factors

The first purpose of this study was to determine from the positive and negative factors identified by Jones and Montenegro (1982), which factors Oregon female administrators perceived had influenced upward mobility in their careers. Study of this topic reveals added information and direction to administrators of university administrative programs, school board members and school personnel administrators involved in hiring and providing training or staff development. As a result, the commonalities and differences among female school administrators in Oregon are identified. Identifying the factors that relate to upward mobility of tenured and nontenured female administrators provides insight and hopefully will promote further investigation. A second purpose of the study was to provide, from the demographic data concerning upward career mobility of nontenured and tenured female administrators, a profile that identifies those practices which have proven to be effective when considering career decisions in school administration. Descriptive statistics were used to quantify the data recovered from a research instrument given to 218 female administrators and of the tests resulted in a written description of the similarities and/or differences between the tenured administrators' and the nontenured administrators' perception of the factors that influenced their upward career mobility. Additionally, the demographic data were analyzed, and profiles of the two groups were developed, again to show similarities and/or differences. The conclusions of the study supported the research hypotheses that: (1) there is no difference between the perception of identified positive and negative factors to upward career mobility between nontenured and tenured female school administrators, and; (2) there is no difference in the profile of the nontenured and the tenured female school administrator in Oregon. A synthesis of the conclusions was made from the analysis of positive and negative career factors as well as the profiles of Oregon women school administrators which basically stated that the group of nontenured administrators is much like the group of practicing tenured administrators. Recommendations were made to women aspiring to be administrators for the application of the conclusions and study of identified characteristics or elements of positive and negative factors which lead to upward mobility. Profiles of the administrators were also made for use in self assessment for both groups of female administrators. Suggestions for additional study were made based upon the findings and experience in conducting the study. Similar study or replication of the study is encouraged in order to provide further insight into the reasons for more women not achieving administrative positions, especially that of principal.

Orientador: Sandra Leal Calais / Resumo: O estresse corresponde a um processo que auxilia o ser humano a se adaptar às mudanças e às situações desafiadoras, fazendo-se presente no cotidiano das pessoas, especialmente na adolescência, período do ciclo vital marcado por profundas mudanças e instabilidade emocional. Diante das adversidades, os indivíduos utilizam estratégias de enfrentamento, as quais consistem em recursos, cognitivos e comportamentais, para lidar com situações que avaliam como estressoras. Se utilizados adequadamente, estes mecanismos auxiliam na eliminação ou na redução do estresse. Igualmente importantes, as habilidades sociais podem auxiliar os estudantes, pois facilitam os relacionamentos sociais, favorecem a aceitação pelos pares, contribuindo na redução do estresse e no ajustamento escolar. Assim, o presente trabalho teve como objetivo investigar os efeitos de uma intervenção, voltada ao manejo do estresse, estratégias de enfrentamento e habilidades sociais, no desempenho do Exame Nacional do Ensino Médio, em estudantes do ensino médio profissionalizante. Participaram do estudo 113 estudantes, de ambos os sexos, de uma escola estadual profissionalizante, do interior do estado de São Paulo, dos quais 49 eram alunos regularmente matriculados no 3º ano do Ensino Técnico Integrado ao Médio, compondo o Grupo Experimental, com previsão de término desta modalidade no mesmo ano. Faced with adversity, individuals use coping strategies, which consist of resources, cognitive and behavioral, to deal with situations that they evaluate as stressors. If properly used, these mechanisms help eliminate or reduce stress. Equally important, social skills can help students by facilitating social relationships, fostering peer acceptance, contributing to stress reduction and school adjustment. Thus, the present study aimed to investigate the effects of an intervention focused on stress management, coping strategies and social skills on the performance of the National High School Examination in vocational high school students. A total of 113 male and female students from a state vocational school in the interior of the state of São Paulo participated in the study. Of these, 49 were students enrolled in the 3rd year of the Integrated High School Education, making up the Experimental Group end of this modality in the same year. No / Regulatory bodies governing health professions and professional education set clear expectations regarding fitness to practise. Within the UK, the Equality Act, 2010, poses a challenge to regulators, educators and employers to ensure that people are not excluded on the basis of disability and to facilitate inclusion. This research took a mixed methods approach to exploring the tensions between Higher Education providers and placement providers in the health sector. Disabled and nondisabled students and health professionals engaged in semistructured interviews and a survey in order to explore their beliefs and experiences. The findings suggest that applying equality legislation within health settings may be particularly difficult and that ¿disability¿ is an ambiguous and multifaceted concept. Whilst small in scale, the findings have given a voice to a professional group who are underrepresented in research and have raised a number of important issues that merit discussion and further scrutiny.

Moving and handling children after death: an inductive thematic analysis of the factors that influence decision-making by children's hospice staff

No / Hospices for children and adolescents in the United Kingdom provide care to the bodies of deceased children, in specially-designed chilled bedrooms called ‘cool rooms’. In an effort to develop resources to support hospice practitioners to provide this specialist area of care, the study aimed to identify the factors that influence decision-making when moving and handling children’s bodies after death in a hospice cool bedroom. An internet-based survey was sent to all practitioners employed by one children’s hospice. A total of 94.9% of eligible staff responded (n=56). An inductive approach to thematic analysis was undertaken, using a six-phase methodological framework. Three core themes were identified that inform practitioners’ perception of appropriateness of moving and handling decisions: care of the body, stages of care, and method of handling. The complexity of decision-making and variation in practice was identified. Practitioners relied on both analytical and initiative decision-making, with more experienced practitioners using an intuitive approach. Evidence-based policy and training influence the perception of appropriateness, and the decisions and behaviour of practitioners. The development of a policy and education framework would support practitioners in caring for children’s bodies after death, standardising expectations and measures of competence in relation to moving and handling tasks.
