Babineau, Louis January 2009 (has links)
Ce cadre de mesure semble donc pouvoir s'appliquer aussi aux équipes de projet.||Abstract : Faced with an ever changing and compétitive environment, and with the necessity of adapting with agility and rapidly, companies rely more and more on technology and Groupware to create and mobilize project teams. The underlying objective is to make them as efficient and effective as possible, regardless of the time and place that members add their collaborations. In order to collaborate in such a context and to produce their work efficiently and according to the desired outcome, team members must first appropriate the technologies that are made available to them, whose purposes are mutual support and proper management of resources. The goal of this research is to analyze if the appropriation of a virtual office contributes effectively to support the team and the efficiency of project teamwork, as well as to analyze the mediating rôle of the internai functioning between appropriation and efficiency. In this case, appropriation refers to the measure of the team members' consent a) on the consensus on appropriation of the Groupware that they will be using and the virtual environment that it constitutes, b) on actual Groupware use, c) and on psychological appropriation towards the Groupware. This research was carried out by handing out a survey to a sample of 304 people grouped into thirty-four teams working on projects with fixed terms. The results of this study indicate that the two variables, psychological appropriation and consensus on appropriation, are positively correlated to the two dimensions of the internai functioning; interpersonal support and management of work. Moreover, the consensus on appropriatio is also linked to the three criteria for efficiency: the quality of the group work experience, the durability and the output. However, there is no indication of a corrélation between the psychological appropriation and the third factor of efficiency, output. The results do indicate that actual Groupware use is negatively connected to interpersonal support and to the quality of the group work experience. Indeed, the test for the mediating rôle of the internai functioning of the group indicate that there is, in fact, a relationship between the psychological appropriation and the consensus on appropriation, and the three factors of efficiency. This doctoral thesis contributes in many ways to the development of knowledge on this topic. Firstly, there is a clear démonstration that psychological appropriation is, in fact, possible for a virtual work environment, and that this appropriation has a link with the internai functioning and efficiency of a project team. Moreover, the research also helps to demonstrate that the psychological appropriation is distinct from other variables such as consensus on approproation. Indeed, this unique factor allowed for the création of an interesting new measuring device with psychometric attributes. The research also contributes to a certain généralization of the multidimensional conception of the internai functioning and efficiency of group work. Finally, the récognition of the mediating rôle of the internai functioning between two types of appropriation and some of the efficiency criteria is both interesting and un-heard of in the context of the use of Groupware by work group with fixed terms. So, it would seem that the measurement framework could also be applied to project teams.

: En kvalitativ studie / Sick and active-experiences with training buddies for cancer patients. : A qualitative study

Raddum Loe, Mona January 2014 (has links)
Purpose “The Training Buddy Project”develops, tests and evaluates a system that provides volunteer training buddies to assist post-treatment cancer patients increase physical activity. This thesis aimed to provide new insight into participant’s experiences with the project. Method: Four focus groupsinterviews with 14 informantswereconducted. Two focusgroups withcancer patients(n=5)and two with volunteer buddies(n=9). Data was analysed using phenomenography. Result: Four categories were identified: (i) volunteer training, (ii) experiences with the"Training Buddy Project", (iii) physical and psychological aspects of having a workoutbuddy and (iv) confidence to continuephysically activity. Influencing factors were identified internally, between users and training buddies and central authorities. Conclusion:  Binding agreements, social support, andassistance infindingpleasurable activities contribute importantly to cancer patient’s ability to re-establish physical activity and develop lasting activity habits after diagnose. Training buddies can help cancer patients in different phases of patient care, particularly for patients who lack the abilityto re-establish physical activityby themselves. A good training buddy service requires dedicated supervisors and individuals to track the appointments and activity of training buddies and their clients / <p>ISBN 978-91-86739-74-4</p>

Looking beyond the visual: considering multi-sensory experience and education with video art in installation

Spont, Marya Helen 19 October 2010 (has links)
This study problematizes how the history, theory, and practice of art education (as documented) have predominantly focused on visually-based artworks and on visual aspects of other, multi-sensory artworks. I posit that existing pedagogical approaches become particularly limiting when addressing contemporary artworks that engage multiple senses and question how art educators might adapt such paradigms to consider individual learners’ multi-sensory experiences—particularly, aural, bodily, and spatial, as well as visual, experiences—as they operate in relation to video art in installation. To offer a point of reference for subsequent discussion, I narrate and interpret my own multi-sensory experience of Krzysztof Wodiczko’s "...OUT OF HERE: The Veterans Project" (2009), and then situate both visual and non-visual aspects of my experience in relation to various possible experiences of time, still and changing images, sound, the static or mobile body, other bodies, and space. By synthesizing and building upon recent scholarly literature pertaining to interpretation, multi-sensory and bodily experience, and learner-centered pedagogy, I consider theoretical and practical implications for teaching and learning with video art in installation, and recommend art educators’ mediation through creating communities of questioning, listening, and “speaking with,” in addition to looking. Throughout this study, I argue that encouraging learners to interpret their individual bodily and sensory experiences of artworks should be considered an essential part of the process of making meaning of those artworks in art education environments and, more importantly, of the process of helping learners to become more critically aware of their own sensory experiences in the world. / text

Vliv materiální podpory a socioekonomických podmínek rodin na výběr sportu / The effect of material demands and socio-economic status of families on the choice of sport

Veselý, Štěpán January 2021 (has links)
Title: The effect of material demands and socio-economic status of families on the choice of sport Objectives: Find out if material support in the form of renting hockey gear enables families to overcome the barrier of financial demands when choosing ice hockey as a sport for children. Using the material support may be related to level of socioeconomic status. Therefore, the dependence of using material support and level of the socioeconomic status will be examined. Results can be utilised for better planning of projects which aim at supporting and expanding the membership base of ice hockey or other sports. Methods: In the thesis secondary data analysis method will be used. Moreover, primary data will be collected, using quantitative method of questioning. Results: Failure to provide material support is not a significant barrier for choosing ice hockey as a sport for children. The possibility of material support rather allows parents to easily and quickly provide their kids with hockey equipment in one place. Thanks to this, their children can try ice hockey for the first time. Possibility of renting equipment free of charge means that parents do not primarily look for a reduction of costs on purchasing of hockey gear. The socio-economic status of families whose children play ice hockey is rather...

Jag vill att ni hämtar min mamma... : Villkor för familjearbete för ungdomar inom institutionsvården.

Kesthely, Martha January 2006 (has links)
This thesis is about a special type of institutional treatment called family-work. It can be described as different ways to involve the families of the youth in their treatment programme. The locus of the study are special treatment homes which provide treatment for youth with serious social and behavioural problems. The study concerns three units at three institutions. The thesis has a qualitative and interpretative approach with using of observations, field studies, combined with interviews and field notes. The study focuses at the pre-conditions for the local "family projects" run by the care workers. With "project" means a process where different actions take place. The Theory of Action concept facilitates the understanding of these types of process and the importance of the internal(subjective) and external(objective) conditions in proportion to the space of action. Several local conditions influenced the pre-requisites for the staff to be able to carry out a "family project" and decide how to realize an intention. Important conditions were commissions given by the social services and the treatment focus at the units. The units are functioned as kinds of overall social "project contexts" with four basic characteristics: the treatment focus and structure, the professionalism and the organisation of the work. The conclusion from the study is that none of the "project contexts" at the three units provided good pre-requisites for family-work. "Family projects", realised by care workers were however professional and seem to have helped both the parents and the young persons, but "the project" were, in total, relatively few. It appeared that a successfully completed "family project" is the last step in a long process in which many different conditions contribute to the destiny of the "project". A clear family focused structured treatment at a unit can provide the employees with good conditions for realising the opportunities they see for working with families.

Etablování orální historie v českém prostředí / The Evolution of Oral History in the Czech Republic

Drahovzalová, Michala January 2019 (has links)
The presented study maps the topic of oral history development in the Czech Republic. The research, conducted mainly via oral history method, reflects the period since 1989 as this method could only be developed after the fall of the communist regime. The first part of the thesis deals with the chosen methodology, introduces the research topic and its objectives and clarifies the historical background. The second part of the thesis presents the analysis and interpretation of the collected material. I focus on the research projects that have been conducted via oral history and publication outputs. I try to put the researches within the broader context as well. Finally, I focus on the development of institutional background in the Czech Republic and mention central institutions where oral history method is being used. I emphasize on insights and views of my narrators who are themselves active participants in the process of establishing oral history in the Czech Republic. Key words Oral history, qualitative methods, project Sto studentských revolucí, Institute of Contemporary History, Czech Oral History Association
