Anagramas do corpo, processos de repeti??o e representa??o da condi??o humana: um di?logo entre Hans Bellmer e Pina Bausch

Pour ?claircir cette r?flexion, nous d?marrons sur les propositions de Ilya Prigogine (1986), pour qui l`art est une m?taphore qui repr?sente la science au XXe si?cle, les id?es d`Edgar Morin (2004), en soulignant la contribution fondamentale de l`art ? l`?tat humain, et Maurice Merleau- Ponty (1980), qui cr?dite ? l`art la possibilit? d`un nouveau regard sur le monde, un regard sensible, esth?tique. Ayant par r?f?rence la pr?sence de ces arguments, nous r?affirmons la th?se de que l`art peut pr?senter des m?taphores pour consid?rer la science, l`?ducation et la condition humaine sur des bases complexes et transdisciplinaires. Nous nous concentrons sur des cat?gories particuli?res de la d?formation et de la r?p?tition. La premi?re est consid?r?e comme un d?sordre n?cessaire au corps, ? la science et ? l`?ducation, des lieux de m?tamorphose constante, d`apr?s les principes de la complexit?. La seconde est appr?ci?e comme un op?rateur sans lequel la variation, l`?cart, le nouveau et l`invention ne peuvent pas ?merger. Nos m?taphores ressortent des travaux esth?tiques de deux artistes de renom: Pina Bausch et Hans Bellmer, les d?linquants qui certainement se rebellent contre la trivialit? dans l`art et la vie. Ils exploitent des r?ves, des d?monstrations affectueuses impertinentes, esth?tiques inaugurales, antiparadigmatiques et audacieuses. En un mot, ils incarnent ce qu`on appelle une pens?e complexe. Nous comprenons que les deux artistes d?clenchent des dispositifs qui dialoguent avec le manifeste de Merleau-Ponty lorsque l`on cherche dans l "aisthesis" la possibilit? d`une production naturelle qui est en elle-m?me, cr?ative. Ayant comme horizon cette puissance cr?atrice nous concentrons notre regard sur les anagrammes du corps propos?s par Bellmer et sur la r?p?tition exprim?e par Pina Bausch. La d?formation et la r?p?tition sont des ?tapes embryonnaires de la cr?ation / A rela??o entre ignor?ncia, aprendizagem e cria??o comp?e um cen?rio instigante para refletirmos sobre educa??o e ci?ncia. Para dar luz a essa reflex?o partimos das proposi??es de Ilya Prigogine (1986), para quem a arte ? a met?fora que representa a ci?ncia no s?culo XX; das ideias de Edgar Morin (2004), ao enfatizar a contribui??o fundamental da arte para a condi??o humana; e de Maurice Merleau-Ponty (1980), que credita ? arte a possibilidade de um novo olhar sobre o mundo, um olhar sens?vel, est?tico. Tendo por refer?ncia esses argumentos reafirmamos a tese de que a arte pode apresentar met?foras para pensarmos a ci?ncia, a educa??o e a condi??o humana em bases complexas e transdisciplinares. Focalizamos, em particular, as categorias de deforma??o e repeti??o. A primeira ? pensada como a desordem necess?ria ao corpo, ? ci?ncia e ? educa??o, lugares de metamorfoses constantes, conforme os princ?pios da complexidade. A segunda ? tomada como um operador sem o qual n?o podem emergir a varia??o, o desvio, o novo, a inven??o. Nossas met?foras surgem a partir da obra est?tica de dois artistas consagrados: Pina Bausch e Hans Bellmer, transgressores que se insurgem definitivamente contra a trivialidade na arte e na vida. Operaram por sonhos, manifesta??es amorosas irreverentes, est?ticas inaugurais, antiparadigm?ticas e impertinentes. Numa palavra, incorporam para si o que se convenciona chamar de um pensamento complexo. Entendemos que os dois artistas acionam dispositivos que dialogam com o manifesto de Merleau-Ponty ao buscar na aisthesis possibilidade de uma produ??o natural que ?, em si pr?pria, criadora. Tendo como horizonte essa pot?ncia criadora centramos nosso olhar nos anagramas do corpo propostos por Bellmer e na repeti??o tal qual expressa por Pina Bausch. On Radio Wave Propagation Measurements and Modelling for Cellular Mobile Radio Networks

To support the continuously increasing number of mobile telephone users around the world, mobile communication systems have become more advanced and sophisticated in their designs. As a result of the great success with the second generation mobile radio networks, deployment of the third and development of fourth generations, the demand for higher data rates to support available services, such as internet connection, video telephony and personal navigation systems, is ever growing. To be able to meet the requirements regarding bandwidth and number of users, enhancements of existing systems and introductions of conceptually new technologies and techniques have been researched and developed. Although new proposed technologies in theory provide increased network capacity, the backbone of a successful roll-out of a mobile telephone system is inevitably the planning of the network’s cellular structure. Hence, the fundamental aspect to a reliable cellular planning is the knowledge about the physical radio channel for wide sets of different propagation scenarios. Therefore, to study radio wave propagation in typical Australian environments, the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) and the Australian Telecommunications Cooperative Research Centre (ATcrc) in collaboration developed a cellular code division multiple access (CDMA) pilot scanner. The pilot scanner measurement equipment enables for radio wave propagation measurements in available commercial CDMA mobile radio networks, which in Australia are usually deployed for extensive rural areas. Over time, the collected measurement data has been used to characterise many different types of mobile radio environments and some of the results are presented in this thesis. The thesis is divided into an introduction section and four parts based on peer-reviewed international research publications. The introduction section presents the reader with some relevant background on channel and propagation modelling. Also, the CDMA scanner measurement system that was developed in parallel with the research results founding this thesis is presented. The first part presents work on the evaluation and development of the different revisions of the Recommendation ITU-R P.1546 point-to-area radio wave propagation prediction model. In particular, the modified application of the terrain clearance angle (TCA) and the calculation method of the effective antenna height are scrutinized. In the second part, the correlation between the smallscale fading characteristics, described by the Ricean K-factor, and the vegetation density in the vicinity of the mobile receiving antenna is investigated. The third part presents an artificial neural network (ANN) based technique incorporated to predict path loss in rural macrocell environments. Obtained results, such as prediction accuracy and training time, are presented for different sized ANNs and different training approaches. Finally, the fourth part proposes an extension of the path loss ANN enabling the model to also predict small-scale fading characteristics.

Att lita till läsaren : Om impressionistiskt berättande i Stig Claessons författarskap med utgångspunkt i romanen Brev till en hembygdsgård / Trusting the reader : On impressionistic narrating in Stig Claesson's writings with the novel Brev till en hembygdsgård as starting point

The objective of this paper – Trusting the reader: On impressionistic narrating in Stig Claesson's writings with the novel Brev till en hembygdsgård as starting point – is to examine narrative techniques used by the Swedish author Stig Claesson, specifically some which fall within the broad field known as literary impressionism: e.g. omission, repetition, juxtaposition, episodic narration and how access to the narrator’s as well as individual characters' consciousness is handled. The method used for the study will be that of illustrative comparison. The analysis will seek its theoretical grounds in the works by Gerard Genette and Jonathan Culler. In the major parts of the study, narrative techniques used by Claesson in the novel Brev till en hembygdsgård (1974), is examined with the help of Robert Paul Lamb and James Nagel, and their studies concerning the crafts of Ernest Hemingway and Stephen Crane. In addition, other novels by Claesson are used in order to find, illustrate and then compare his craftsmanship with techniques already studied and described by scholars and critics. The main result from the analysis is that a need to trust the reader follows from Claesson’s choice of narrative techniques; by having the narrating instance mainly represent perception – without allowing the narrator, or the characters of the narrative, to interpret what’s rendered – the reader is left to experience sensation on her own. To assist the reader, Claesson binds together his episodic narration with a frequent use of juxtaposition, in which colors, objects and scenes already used, are re-used – hence having one scene charge the next, and so on, with previously evoked emotions. Furthermore, Claesson frequently uses omission in conjunction with repetition as a narrative technique; often when the narrator returns to an already used scene, she is excluding some of the information given to the reader earlier in exchange for some previously omitted information or for elements belonging to other scenes. The study finds that a consequence of Claesson’s combination of the above mentioned techniques, is that his texts calls for a reader to take an active part in creating meaning both from the text and from their own experience. Finally, the study suggests that Claesson, like any craftsman, recognized that once the work is done and delivered, it is up to the recipient to use it according to their own ability, imagination and discretion.

Como suporte te?rico, tamb?m foram utilizados os conceitos de coes?o definidos por Hallyday e Hassan (1976), Beaugrande e Dressler (1997), Marcuschi (2008) e Koch (2003). Nas an?lises dos textos, constatamos que a incid?ncia da an?fora pronominal e da repeti??o foi significativa porque foram os recursos mais utilizados pelos alunos para promover a articula??o coesiva dos textos. Verificamos que em textos narrativos ou argumentativos a an?fora pronominal promoveu a manuten??o e a progress?o tem?tica esperadas. Quanto ? repeti??o, observamos que a manuten??o e progress?o tem?tica estavam condicionadas ao conhecimento do tema em foco. Ainda verificamos que a recorr?ncia excessiva desses fen?menos em um mesmo texto, apesar de promoverem a articula??o coesiva, pode prejudicar o seu grau de informatividade

The text of the thesis describes the work with the used platforms, a description of the ITU-R calculation method P.1812, which is used for calculation electric field strength and basic information about electromagnetic waves. The main function of the system is to calculate and display coverage of wireless networks and customer management information.
