Antioksidativna, antiproliferativna i antimikrobna aktivnost odabranih ekstrakata tropova bobičastog voća / Antioxidative, antiproliferative and antimicrobial activity of selected berry pomace extracts

<p>U ovom radu su ispitani hemijski sastav, antioksidativna, antihiperglikemijska, antiproliferativna i antimikrobna aktivnost liofiliziranih metanolnih ekstrakata tropa<br />maline (Rubusidaeus L) sorti Meeker (ETMM) i Willamette (ETMW), kupine (RubusfruticosusL) sorti Čačanska bestrna (ETKČ) i Thornfree (ETKT) i divlje borovnice<br />(Vacciniummyrtillus L) (ETB). Sadržaj ukupnih polifenola (TPh), flavonoida (TF) i antocijana (TAc) u ekstraktima tropova određeni su spektrofotometrijskim metodama.<br />Identifikacija i kvantifikacija fenolnih jedinjenja (fenolnihkiselina, flavonola i cijanidina) i vitamina C u ekstraktima tropova izvedena je HPLC analizom. Spektrofotometrijskim<br />testovima određena je antioksidativna aktivnostna DPPH i ABTS+ radikale i redukciona sposobnost ekstrakata. ESR spektroskopijom utvrđen je uticaj ekstrakata na reaktivne hidroksil i superoksid anjon radikale. Antihiperglikemijska aktivnost ekstrakata određena<br />je testom inhibicije &alpha;-glukozidaze. Antiproliferativna aktivnost ekstrakata tropova ispitana je in vitro, njihovim delovanjem na rast četiri histolo&scaron;ki različite humane ćelije:<br />HeLa (epitelni karcinom cerviksa), MCF7 (adenokarcinom dojke), HT-29 (adenokarcinom debelog creva) i MRC-5 (humani fetalni fibroblasti pluća). Antimikrobna aktivnost ekstrakata tropova bobičastog voća ispitana je na odabrane sojeve Gram-pozitivnih i Gram-negativnih bakterija, kvasaca i plesni disk difuzionom metodom i metodom &bdquo;bunarčića&rdquo;. Ispitana je i mogućnost primene liofiliziranih ekstrakata tropova bobičastog voća kao funkcionalnog dodatka sokovima od voća. Laboratorijski proizvedenim obogaćenim sokovima je određen sadržaj TPh, TF i TAc i utvrđena antioksidativna aktivnost testom redukcione sposobnosti i DPPH testom. Rezultati ispitivanja hemijskog sastava, antioksidativne, antihiperglikemijske, antiproliferativne i antimikrobne aktivnosti ETMM, ETMW, ETKČ, ETKT i ETB ukazuju da su svi ispitivani ekstrakti tropova potencijalni izvor prirodnih<br />bioaktivnih jedinjenja, a antioksidativna aktivnost obogaćenih sokova ukazuje na mogućnost kori&scaron;ćenja ovih ekstrakata, kao funkcionalnih aditiva u proizvodnji različitih<br />visoko vrednih prehrambenih proizvoda.</p> / <p>This work examined the chemical composition, the antioxidant,<br />antihyperglycaemic, antiproliferative and antimicrobial<br />activity of the freeze-dried raspberry (Rubus idaeus L.)<br />varieties Meeker (ETMM) and Willamette (ETMW), blackberry<br />(Rubus fruticosus L.) varieties (ETKČ) and Thornfree<br />(ETKT), and wild blueberry (Vaccinium myrtillus L.) (ETB)<br />pomaces methanol extracts. The content of total polyphenols<br />(TPh), total flavonoids (TF) and total anthocyanins (TAc) in<br />the pomace extracts were determined spectrophotometrically.<br />Identification and quantification of the phenolic compounds<br />(phenol acids, flavonols and cyanidins) and ascorbic acid in<br />the pomace extracts was performed by HPLC analysis. The<br />antioxidant activities of the extracts was determined spectrophotometrically<br />using DPPH and ABTS+ free radicals and<br />reducing ability assay. ESR spectroscopy is used for determination<br />of pomace extracts&rsquo; influence on reactive hydroxyl<br />and superoxide anion radicals. Antihyperglycaemic activity of<br />the pomace extracts was determined using &alpha;-glucosidase inhibition<br />assay. The antiproliferative activity of the pomace extracts<br />was tested in vitro, testing their influence on the growth<br />of four histologically different human tumor cells: HeLa<br />(cervix epithelioid carcinoma), MCF7 (breast adenocarcinoma),<br />HT-29 (colon adenocarcinoma) and MRC-5(human fetal<br />lung fibroblasts). Antimicrobial activity of berry pomace extracts was tested on selected strains of Gram-positive and<br />Gram-negative bacteria, yeasts and molds with the disc diffusion<br />method and the method of &ldquo;wells&rdquo;. The possibility of<br />freeze dried berry pomace extracts application as a fruit functional<br />additive was investigated as well. Laboratory produced<br />enriched juice was tested in terms of TPH, TF and TAc content,<br />reducing ability and DPPH scavenging ability as well.<br />The results of testing the chemical composition, the antioxidative,<br />antihyperglycaemic, antiproliferative and antimicrobial<br />activities of ETMM, ETMW, ETKČ, ETKT and ETB, indicate<br />that all investigated pomace extracts are a potential source of<br />natural bioactive compounds, and that the antioxidant activity<br />enriched juice indicates the possibility of using these extracts,<br />as a functional additive in the production of various high-value<br />food products.</p>

This thesis deals with creating hardware and software equipment of intelligent beehive for data collection purpose. Measurement characteristics are temperature, humidity, weight of beehive and audio record of bees. They are measured by available IoT technology. They are simple single-chip component with a clear focus. This thesis also include creation of software for measurements this characteristics and communications with server. The software featured of the remote server are also documented. This software analyze incoming measurement and also provides their displays. Software in this thesis is developed in language Python.

A fuzzy logic micro-controller enabled system for the monitoring of micro climatic parameters of a greenhouse

Motivation behind this master dissertation is to introduce a novel study called " A fuzzy logic micro-controller enabled system for the monitoring of micro-climatic parameters of a greenhouse" which is capable of intelligently monitoring and controlling the greenhouse climate conditions in a preprogrammed manner. The proposed system consists of three stations: Sensor Station, Coordinator Station, and Central Station. To allow for better monitoring of the climate condition in the greenhouse, fuzzy logic controller is embedded in the system as the system becomes more intelligent with fuzzy decision making. The sensor station is equipped with several sensor elements such as MQ-7 (Carbon monoxide sensor), DHT11 (Temperature and humidity sensor), LDR (light sensor), grove moisture sensor (soil moisture sensor). The communication between the sensor station and the coordinator station is achieved through XBee wireless modules connected to the Arduino Mega and the communication between coordinator station and the central station is also achieved via XBee wireless modules connected to the Arduino Mega. The experiments and tests of the system were carried out at one of IKHALA TVET COLLEGE’s greenhouses that is used for learning purposes by students studying agriculture at the college. The purpose of conducting the experiments at the college’s green house was to determine the functionality and reliability of the designed wireless sensor network using ZigBee wireless technology. The experiment result indicated that XBee modules could be used as one solution to lower the installation cost, increase flexibility and reliability and create a greenhouse management system that is only based on wireless nodes. The experiment result also showed that the system became more intelligent if fuzzy logic was used by the system for decision making. The overall system design showed advantages in cost, size, power, flexibility and intelligence. It is trusted that the results of the project will give the chance for further research and development of a low cost greenhouse monitoring system for commercial use. / Electrical and Mining Engineering / M. This thesis deals with the issue of attendance recording. The aim of the thesis was to design a solution and then create a hardware terminal for the electronic attendance system. The whole system is based on the latest web technologies using the Raspberry Pi hardware, for the client terminal. Future use of the device is possible for both home and commercial use. The whole system was distributed globaly as Open Source project. The result of thesis is a physical prototype of a client terminal, based on the Raspberry Pi platform, Electron based application for terminal and a web application communicating with the server solution.

Internet of Things is the latest phenomenon in the computing industry. Even if it has not been completely defined yet, we are already surrounded by various devices connected to the Internet. This thesis project focuses on low cost and low-power wireless solutions and on the on-line backend behind the architecture. At the same time the present work also deals with Cloud Computing which can provide a highly scalable runtime environment for this backend without building an infrastructure. To handle the huge amount of data collected by billions of devices, BigData services could be used in the same cloud space. The project is a collection of the theoretical background of the Internet of Things; so as a result, it provides the reader with an overview of the concept. It also provides a walktrough of the design, implementation and testing process of a complex agricultural Internet of Things solution.

Ovládání robota s Ackermannovým podvozkem / Controlling of Robot with Ackermann Steering

In this paper is described creation of a robot in Robot Operating system (ROS) withAckermann steering. It contains the principle of Ackermann steering geometry, search ofcontroller boards and basics of ROS structure. A RC car with connected PixHawk controlleris used as a basis of the robot. On the robot is placed an onboard computer Raspberry Pi3 with running ROS. This computer is connected to a laptop through Wi-Fi network. Theprocedure of starting up the robot and ROS is also described in this paper, as well asdesign of the graphical user interface (GUI) that will display sensory data and allow otherfunctionality. Another part of thesis explains principle of an optical encoder and how tocreate your own encoder which can detect rotation of a wheel. This is used to implementrobot odometry. The structure of ROS navigation library is analyzed with regards to itscommissioning. Implementation of the GUI and navigation library will follow in the masterthesis.

This master thesis deals with the implementation of variants of cryptographic libraries containing primitives for elliptic curves. By creating custom metering charts to compare each implementation. The main task was not only the implementation of libraries but also the design and implementation of test scenarios together with the creation of measurement methods for different libraries and hardware platforms. As a result, a number of experimental tests were conducted on different curves and their parameters so that the results of the work included complex problems of elliptic curves in cryptography. The main parameters were power, time and memory consumption.

Táto práca popisuje v súčastnosti široko používané architektúry a modely pre Hlboké Učenie, riešiace úlohu detekcie a klasifikácie objektov vo videu. Dôraz tu bude kladený na ich použiteľnosť na vstavaných zariadeniach. Postupne preberieme kroky a odvôvodňovanie pri výbere najlepšieho vstavaného systému pre našu aplikáciu. Ukážková aplikáci pozostáva hlavne z detekcie vozidiel a detekcie voľných parkovacích miest s využitím algoritmov Hlbokého Učenia. Táto aplikácia umožňuje monitorovať počet vozidiel, nachádzajúcich sa na parkovisku a zároveň rozhodnúť, či sa nachádzajú na prakovacom mieste alebo nie. Následne tu budú prebrané kroky nutné ku konfigurácii zariadenia s dôrazom na optimalizáciu hardvéru pre dosiahnutie čo najväčšej rýchlosti. V ďaľšej časti bude poskytnuté porovnanie vybraných modelov, ktoré budú porovnávané hlavne v kategóriách ako rýchlosť alebo F1 skóre. Najlepší kandidát bude použitý na riešenie našej aplikácie a následné testovanie jej vlastností s názvom Inteligentné parkovisko.

The thesis covers the design of a low-cost and easy to use smart home system which can be managed over the internet, uses a genetic algorithm for heating regulation optimization and its central computing unit is a low-cost, embedded device with low power consumption. The functionality of the system is verified on a practical application of heating regulation in a house. The efficacy of the system for energy savings is shown; it is based on measured data statistics.
