This diploma thesis focuses on Media Education in English language classes. The first section introduces media in general and deals with media education and its place in Framework Educational Programme for grammar schools. Next part monitors the ways of using media education in other school subjects and describes methodology itself. On the basis of this knowledge some of the methodological books are analysed. The last part of the first section introduces advertisements and their main characteristics. The second section presents a project of media education which is called Advertisement and Slogan. The project was prepared to be used in three English lessons. The structure, aims and methods of each of them as well as lesson plans and the process of each lesson are described in detail. The final part is devoted to students? and teacher?s evaluations.

The aim of this thesis is to analyze the economic thinking of third grade students in primary school. On the basis of identified deficiencies, a set of ideas leading to more effective teaching is proposed. The theoretical section includes an examination of the state of economic thinking in primary school pupils in the Czech Republic and abroad. This explains the present form of financial education in the Czech Republic, and examines children's understanding, particularly in relation to constructivism. The practical section describes the preparation and implementation of qualitative research in the form of semi-structured individual interviews with pupils in their 3rd year, and 1st grade of primary school. In the conclusion, a set of ideas aimed to develop the financial thought processes of younger school students, supplement their knowledge, and strengthen their overall economic thinking, is proposed.

This diploma thesis considers dance and child and how dance can influence the development of child's individuality. Theoretical part deals with characteristics and history of the dance, child within the age range 6 - 11 years, physical, psychical and spiritual aspects of people personality. It brings information about "movement and dance education" - as a new subject in the Curriculum framework for basic education. The research part of the thesis is oriented only on "movement and dance education" and how the people are informed about its implementation to schools. It also analyses the possibilities of influence on selected areas of development of child. It also tries to demonstrate positive effect on some of these areas.

Concept of health education in kindergarten This thesis deals with the concept of a healthy lifestyle for preschool children and of health education in nursery schools. The first part of this work is the definition of "health" and individual determinants of health such as lifestyle, environment and health. The thesis deals with the various components of health education in kindergarten, the movement of children in kindergarten, nutrition, inner comfort and overall environment of the nursery school in the context of the Framework Curriculum for preschool education. The subject of research of this thesis is two-stage evaluation process and questionnaire, which is presented to teachers of kindergartens.

1 Abstract: This thesis is entitled "Selected topics from the educational theme A human and his world; explored employing the methods and techniques of Drama In Education." The first section explores the theory. It not only deals with Drama In Education; its content, principles, form, methods, and planning; but also what a teacher of drama should be; the characteristics of children in the early years of education; the assessment of drama; and of course the theme - A human and his world. The practical section describes the elements of a range of methods and contains individual lesson script. Each lesson is underpinned by a particular method. This section goes on to deal with assigned goals; their verification in practice; and finally, conclusions drawn from the implementation of the planned lessons. In designed lessons I used selected methods and techniques of structured drama and preparatoried games and exercises. I found out that very different topics from this educational theme A Human and his world can be worked up by methods and techniques of drama education because I suggested different topics from this educational theme and I verified them in practice.

This thesis deals with teaching the digital technology within the ISCED 2 education. The theoretical part monitors the current state of teaching these technologies in the Czech Republic and two European Union states, Ireland and the United Kingdom. The practical part includes a conception of digital technology teaching, including a methodical manual for teachers and a working environment for students, verification of this conception in practice and drawing conclusions.

Target of this thesis is to realize an one-month musical project at one of kindergarten classes while using Orf's musical instruments. Further to find out through a musical test prospective individual contribution of Orf's musical instruments involvement to a musical development of preschool children. Theoretical part of thesis describes a pedagogical reform at musical education, current status of musical education at kindergardens based on a General Education Programm (RVP). Further refers to a psychological aspect of musical development of preschool children, describes Orf's musical instruments itself and its usage at "itegrative pedagogy". Practical part of thesis is dedicated to a survey. It discovers how often, which way and which musical instruments are used at kindergardens. The musical project is performed at one of kindergarten classes via musical test. Musical abbilities and skills of children are investigated and contribution of Orf's musical instruments is verified and evaluated.

My diploma thesis focuses on the approach to family related curriculum at primary school. The theoretical part includes analysis of contemporary view of family in terms of psychology and sociology, summary of possible problems connected with the family related curriculum, some recommendations how to approach the family related curriculum and analysis of approach to this curriculum in FEP EE, three school education programmes and three sets of textbooks from primary education. The practical part examines the approach to family related curriculum from students' of teaching point of view.

The case study analyses the art education content of selected teachers through the school year in context of actual curriculum. The lesson plans are going to be compared with the actual realizations of students, with respect to the expected (art) competencies of themselves. How do the teachers deal with the curriculum and content in art education? The thesis explores that question per interviews with the teachers, document analyses and gathered reflections. It examines the way of dealing with pedagogical content, its transformation into concrete tasks, teacher's reflection and appreciation of the student works. Inspirational resources of the particular teachers are going to be also covered in this study. The contemporary researches of Art education with emphasis on the pedagogical content are going to be the theoretical basis of processing the case study. This diploma thesis looks at and examines the use of using computers in kindergartens - in particular, their use by members of the teaching staff. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the use of computers by the school principal and teachers and particularly but most importantly, the direct use of computers as part of the educational activities aimed at children in kindergarten. The practical part examines the current degree to which computers are used in kindergartens in the region of Central Bohemia and the potential interest of parents in having computers and educational computer games used in the education of their children in these kindergartens. In summary, the thesis will make an assessment of the impact the use of computers and computer related activities are having on selected areas of the education of kindergarten age children.
