Previous issue date: 2011-03-25 / This work addresses the subjective constructions of the media and consumption culture, attempting particularly to understand how maternal representations would be acquiring new meanings and, even, undergoing a process of capitalization in the contemporary scenario. We initially discuss the fictionalization of life and relate it to hyper-visualization practices and the spectacularization of motherhood. We next investigate an exacerbation of this phenomenon, namely, the consumption of reborn babies or hyper-real baby-puppets. At this stage, we argue how fantasies and idealizations related to maternity are appropriated by material culture. In the end, we study the commercialization of reborn babies, searching for the logics and strategies within the marketing of these objects, as well as the implicit process of capitalization of motherhood involved in it. All through this work, we have avoided judgments and propositions of evaluative nature. From the methodological viewpoint, we have adopted an interdisciplinary perspective which includes bibliographic and field research. / Este trabalho aborda as construções subjetivas na cultura da mídia e do consumo, buscando particularmente refletir sobre como representações da maternidade estariam ganhando novas acepções e, inclusive, passando por um processo de capitalização no cenário contemporâneo. Discutimos, inicialmente, a ficcionalização da vida relacionando-a a práticas de hiper-visualização e espetacularização do materno. Na sequência, investigamos uma exacerbação deste fenômeno, a saber, o consumo de reborn babies ou bonecos-bebê hiper-reais. Neste momento, problematizamos de que maneira fantasias e ideais relacionados à maternidade são apropriados pela cultura material. Finalmente, desenvolvemos um estudo sobre a comercialização desses objetos, buscando observar a lógica de funcionamento do mercado reborn e o processo de capitalização do materno que lhe é implícito. Ao longo deste trabalho evitamos julgamentos e apreensões de caráter avaliativo. Do ponto de vista metodológico, valorizamos uma perspectiva transdisciplinar e desenvolvemos uma pesquisa bibliográfica e de campo.

Obsahová analýza chtonických mýtů starověkých společností / Content Analysis of Chtonic Myths from Ancient SocietiesSlíva, Vítězslav January 2014 (has links)
In this work, I will analyze several ancient myths, which are bonded by theme of chthonic symbolism. Vegetation cycle, dead and rebirth are topics, which we think were important for ancient cultures and analyzed myths should be a way, how those civilizations interpreted and understood to various aspects of rebirth and periodicity of life. In my effort to better comprehension of various attempts to cycles of vegetation and life, I will analyze several chthonic myths of ancient societies, which I will compare afterwards. Methodology of my analysis is inspired by narrative analysis and studies of folktales made by Vladimir Propp. I am using my own method based on his analysis of characters and their function. I am mostly focusing on characteristic of persons in myth, their role and function and on presence of chthonic symbols. This analysis is used for comparison of specific aspect of researched myths. Outputs of this research are some similarities founded in structure of myths, mostly in characteristic and roles of specific characters. On the other hand, some deities, which were commonly equated for instance by J.G. Frazer, are looking much more different, in their roles in researched myths. In this work, I will make content analysis of several ancient myths, which are bonded by theme of chthonic symbolism. In my effort to better comprehension of various attempts to understand and clarify cycles of vegetation and life, I will analyze several chthonic myths of ancient societies. For that I will use content analysis, where I am coding content of analyzed myths to several categories and subcategories. Afterwards, I am trying to find chthonic motive in coded content. This motive is explaining, how myth understand the cycles of life and death or vegetation. At the end, I am looking for this motives, in social institutions of those ancient societies. Founded motives are different in every myth, but they are still bonded with question of chthonicity. They also have a counterpart in various social institutions.

Este ministÃrio emergiu no cenÃrio religioso cearense a partir do ano de 1999, fruto de uma revelaÃÃo divina de leigos que afirmavam ser o Pr. JecÃr GÃes Ferreira o grande lÃder a constituir uma nova denominaÃÃo dentro do campo religioso brasileiro. Palavras-chave: pentecostalismo, direÃÃo hierÃrgica, salvaÃÃo, renascimento, dons do espÃrito. / This work tries to analyze the doctrinaireâs emphasis and ritual practices found weaved into the daily life of the Assembly of God Ministry Church CanaÃ, heuristically observed through a phenomenon logical view into the daily lives of the followers of the sect, within a space and time frames socially conditioned by the beliefs manifested by these people. This ministry emerged from the cearense religious centenary starting in 1999, first of a divine revelation of leigman affirming that father JecÃr GÃes Ferreira was the grate leader chosen to constitute a new denomination within the Brazilian religious field. The grate concept desired by this new confessional denomination follower lies in its capacity to combine metaphysical elements of Christianâs theology with ordinary questions of these gentiles, which generates an extraordinary capacity to incorporate the ontological socialization mechanisms dispensed by the institution. Through the âCanaà theologyâ one can observe the real importance to the loyal followers of the moral aspects which is capable of certifying an aseptic conduct, sustained by the faith manifested in an absurd and unrecognizable divine power, the characteristic of doctrine is identified as being most important sense for these peopleâs lives would reside in the non conformism with wordy ways, from where one would reach the necessity to set forth a march towards the desired salvation for the description and analyses of the phenomenon studied here, I used categories taken from the common sense, used by âcananensesâ in their process of community interaction which is built inter subjectively. It was possible to reach way the specific usage forms of these native categories, inducted into the community through the chirurgical work done by this church, to perform its efficient power over these followers through the reinforcement of ideas and values that era common un its members, and at the same time, showing the sententious and rewards that could be reach if determined believers which are elective, are adopted when referred to aspects related to the individual search of salvation.

There has been significant increase in the occurrence of earthquakes and other disasters around the world recently. With record-breaking storms and natural disasters destroying different parts of the world, many people have to deal with the repercussions of the aftermaths; and homelessness is one of the facts of such incidence. This master thesis is aimed at creating living solution for the victims of earthquakes and other kind of disasters; natural or human-made (war), providing accommodation for homeless people after an earthquake or a housing alternative for refugees. The design of the collapsible home is basically a new concept of emergency hut for accommodating people in emergency after the event of disaster with easy assembling and quick installation feature. Considering the situation of homeless people after catastrophic disasters who need to be accommodated, the design and creation of a quick, accommodating and low-cost emergency hut is advantageous. This project also provides a living service for both refugees and homeless people. It is low cost, modular, and easy to use. More than that it is feasible and it makes it possible to accommodate people for a longer period of time, rather than a very short temporary housing solution such as tents. / Det har skett en signifikant ökning av jordbävningar och andra katastrofer i världen. Med rekordstora stormar och naturkatastrofer som förstör i delar av världen måste många människor nu hantera efterverkningar och återuppbyggande, och hemlöshet är en av de faktorer som uppstår och som påverkar människor mest. Det här examensarbetet syftar till att skapa en boendelösning för offer för jordbävning och andra naturkatastrofer och krig. Det hopfällbara hemmets design är ett koncept för krisboende med enkelt montage och installering. Om man betänker den situation som människor hamnar i som blir hemlösa vid en katastrof, kan en design av en snabb och billig boendelösning som krisboende ge enormt mycket. Projektet kan också vara en boendeservice till flyktingar och människor som är hemlösa av andra anledningar än katastrofer. Det tillverkas för en låg kostnad och är möjlig att använda som modul och enkel att sätta upp. Men viktigare än det är att den ger möjlighet att härbergera människor under en längre tid till skillnad från mer temporära lösningar som exempelvis tält. Det hopfällbara hemmet är gjort av hållbart material, den använder grön energi och lyser upp staden. Den är utrustad med vertikala trädgårdar för att användarna ska kunna odla egna grönsaker och den återvinner vatten från regn. Den innehåller basala hopfällbara möbler och rumsavdelare som ger känsla av hemtrevnad och bekvämlighet.

Previous issue date: 2008-02-22T00:00:00Z / With this work I intended to approach the following research problem: In which ways do the religious organizations promote the entrepreneurship among their members and how they support the enterprising follower in Brazil? The research has the economic sociology approach and the strategy I employ in my research is a qualitative and comparative case study of two religious organizations. The first one is of the Catholic Church, called Focolare Movement. And the other one is of an Evangelical Church, locally denominated “Renascer em Cristo” (Reborn in Christ). The data were collected through observation, interviews and documental research. In general, the religious structures of the investigated organizations form a special type of social capital, denominated of spiritual capital – through closure of social networks, appropriable social organization, obligations and norms, information channels and religious networks of mutual aid – capable to create and support organizational resources, which are cultural/symbolic resources, formation, information and spiritual support/motivational spaces, and that are mobilized in a way that facilitates the entrepreneurs’ actions. These resources give relative advantages to the entrepreneurs, such as: religious technologies; psychological support; reduction of the costs of the collection and access to the information, of negotiation and of the establishment of contracts; specific information and interpreted in agreement with the religious world vision; a system of meanings that creates that world vision and sustained by the plausibility structures, giving them larger subjective degree of certainty, hope and faith concerning their businesses; services rendered technicians by members of the organization; development of the human capital due to the continuous learning through courses, seminars, lectures, and congresses; changes of experience; and possibilities of businesses, including possible partners, suppliers and customers. / Com esse trabalho me propus a abordar o seguinte problema de pesquisa: como as organizações religiosas incentivam o empreendedorismo e apóiam o empreendedor-adepto. A estratégia de pesquisa adotada foi o estudo de caso qualitativo e comparativo de duas organizações religiosas: uma evangélica (Igreja Renascer em Cristo) e outra católica (Movimento dos Focolares). Os dados foram coletados por meio de observação, entrevistas e pesquisa documental. Viu-se que, de modo geral, as estruturas religiosas das organizações investigadas formam um tipo especial de capital social, denominado de capital espiritual – por meio de “fechamento” de redes sociais, organização social apropriável, obrigações e normas, canais de informações e redes religiosas de ajuda mútua – capaz de criar e sustentar recursos organizacionais – quais sejam, recursos culturais/simbólicos, espaços de formação, informação e apoio espiritual/motivacional – e que são mobilizados de modo a facilitar as ações de seus empreendedores. Tais recursos dão vantagens relativas a esses empreendedores por oferecerem benefícios tais como: tecnologias religiosas; apoio psicológico; redução dos custos da coleta e acesso à informação, de negociação e do estabelecimento de contratos; informações específicas e interpretadas de acordo com a visão de mundo religiosa; um sistema de significados que cria essa visão de mundo e sustentada pelas estruturas de plausibilidade, dando-lhes maior grau subjetivo de certeza, esperança e fé acerca de seus negócios; prestações de serviços técnicos por parte de membros da organização; desenvolvimento do capital humano devido à aprendizagem contínua por meio de cursos, seminários, palestras, congressos; trocas de experiência; e possibilidades de negócios, incluindo possíveis parceiros, fornecedores e clientes.
