Religionsundervisning i grundsärskolan

Stääv, Martin January 2012 (has links)
The 2011 Swedish curriculum for special education (Lgr 11) has undergone major changes in comparison to its predecessor regarding the course syllabuses that include religious studies. Focus has shifted from questions of life and existential questions to a more mixed subject matter that also include studies on the subject of specific religions. This study examine how religious education is handled within special education, and in what capacity the students have the ability to take in religious education. The study has been performed using qualitative data derived from interviews, and is weighed against Edwin Cox´s classification of which “senses” that are demanded for religious studies. The study shows that religious studies have to be tangible to meet the needs that pupils within special education-schools has. Suggestions are given on how religious studies within special education can evolve, and as a final note a request is made regarding a more extensive commentary for the syllabuses in Lgr 11.

Recreation in the church : an analysis and a prospectus

Harris, Lawton Delmar 01 January 1948 (has links) (PDF)
In a measure, the thesis seeks to bring together a consideration of the program and problems from both the secular and religious viewpoints. The two are based upon the same psychological needs of humanity, but the two fields have become isolated in their fundamental approaches. The secular books barely mention the church and its programs. They have a tendency to regard the church as a "has-been.. in the field. They imply that the church should conduct "religious" services and leave recreation to the agencies. To this the writer cannot give agreement. On the other hand, many of the books written by the churchmen are equally unaware of community recreation, except in a critical manner at points of conflict and disagreement. Both types of programs are needed in the community. America will need much more of both before the problem of leisure is solved. Inherent in the entire presentation is an awareness that life is a single entity, that recreation is now an isolated experience, that worship and recreation are but two of men's many responses to his experience in his environment and intimately related. Thus the field of recreation is essential in the program of the church as it seeks to develop fundamental and creative loyalties.

The different sides of religions : En intervjuundersökning fokuserad på kristna elevers upplevelse av kristendomens representation i religionsundervisningen

Khider, Diyar January 2022 (has links)
The Swedish school system is one of the few school systems that offers non-confessional religious education. This type of education is particularly important in a society characterized by high diversity. The benefits are that it allows students to understand similarities and differences between them, which further increases the chance of understanding respect and tolerance. Despite most schools working towards inclusion, it is visible that segregation in schools is increasing. (Skolverket, 2021). The purpose of this study is to examine how Christian students experience how their religious tradition is being represented in the subject of religious studies. This study also investigates how students see deficiencies in current teaching, and how they would like their religious tradition to be represented in education. The students' experiences and opinions will be examined through semi-structured interviews. The goal of the study is to highlight the students' experiences of religious education, and furthermore to present the challenges that the subject of religious studies may face. The results showed that each and everyone of the respondents experienced that Christianity had a central role in teaching and was presented neutrally, just like all other religions. Finally, the respondents pointed out that teaching was fact-based and focused mostly on historical events and important dates for the religions, rather than on how the religions are understood and impact people and society.
