No. of bitstreams: 1 Sergio Francisco.pdf: 2035690 bytes, checksum: 8acba4eccdacc242a07fd9ce465144b6 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2009-05-07 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / This work analyses a fragmentation which is occurring in neopentecostalism, trying to investigate the relationship between the reasons of such fragmentation and the specific ways by wich Pentecostal groups establish themselves in modernity, above all in their concepts of power and in the forms of their structure. This inquiry was done in dialogue with the theory of secularization and of modern power, and is empirically founded on qualitative research, done in interviews with leaders of neopentecostal churches in the city of Sorocaba. Developing this kind of analysis, it is demonstrated how these religious expressions represent an adaptation to the environment of Brazilian modernity and modern culture, especially by the assimilation of popular beliefs and practices, and through the culture of marketing. And it is in this connection between the form of exercise of Power and modern cultural, political and economic contexts, that one finds the explanation of this accentuated neopentecostal fragmentation.(AU) / Este trabalho analisa a fragmentação que vem ocorrendo no neopentecostalismo, procurando investigar as relações entre as causas dessa fragmentação e a forma específica como os grupos neopentecostais se colocam na Modernidade, sobretudo em seus conceitos de poder e nas formas de sua estruturação.

A crise do catolicismo a partir da experiência missionária de um grupo de jovens italianos em Belo Horizonte nos anos 1960 / Catholic church and social modernization: the crisis of Catholicism as from the missionary experience of a group of young Italians in Belo Horizonte in the1960\'s

Bonato, Massimo 25 August 2014 (has links)
The subject of the present research is the aggravation of the institutional crisis of the Catholic Church during the second half of the XXth Century. Based upon documentary sources and field work that includes interviews and histories of life, the research tries to reconstruct the experiences of an Italian group of lay catholic missionaries, who acted in the city of Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, in the 1960s. These young men and women belonged to the so called Gioventù Studentesca from Milan, Italy. Their trajectories of life and their religious and political motivations were rebuilt from these days to the present moment. That is the empirical subject of the research. On a second but not secondary frame, the present thesis seeks to contribute for the sociological understanding of the complex relations of mutual penetration and chaining between the catolicismo internalizado, the formation of catholic active minorities and the process of social and cultural modernization of the Catholic Church

Arrachement et rattachement à l’islam : un processus « d’expérimentation » des étudiantes de Bordeaux et d’ailleurs descendantes de migrants originaires du Maghreb / Religious experiment among female Muslim students in Bordeaux and other place descendants of Maghreb migrant families

Hanafi, Rania 13 December 2011 (has links)
What sort of bargaining or devising attitude or even deciding point is to be found in the yarns of the weft of their personal history down through generations when young female students descendants of Maghreb migrant families choose to experiment islam ? So “entry” into religion cannot be regarded as a sudden occurrence. It is an intense dialectical process, of painful separations followed by renewed ties which gives meaning to even shapes identity reconstruction of these young women. Simultaneously, the dialectic also clarifies the complex relationships which the latter have with French society. Here there is no change in religion rather a conversional process marked by an « entrance » in an Islamic religious time and space which is not obvious for them. It is a Muslim religious belonging which the girls choose, as opposed to their family heritage and in the feminist vision of the integration model like “Frenchies”. The typical ideal path of French female students’ process to Islam goes through four analytic phases and ultimately raises the issue of a possible emancipation of women structured by religious commitment. The different phases of a religious trajectory examined in our study are as follows: the first phase is one of questioning identity, destabilization of individual identity and rejection of ethnic markers. The second is the phase of adolescence. The third is the exploratory phase of religious possibilities. Finally, the fourth and last phase is a time for religious activism (University/halqa/mosque). Thus, the quest for emancipated behavior, part of a process of modernity, occurs through their religious experiment. among 31 students in Bordeaux, Grenoble and Marseilles.

No. of bitstreams: 1 arquivo total.pdf: 4281724 bytes, checksum: eb9db45c104b1c2ee362633b6610274d (MD5) Previous issue date: 2016-06-19 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES / The religious scene that has established itself in Brazil in recent years, have demanded of religions, especially Catholicism, the need to put forth ruptures, conflicts, innovations, continuities and especially adoptions of new theologies in overcoming old. It is urgent prevail for pastoral models that are able to establish a close relationship with the new religious standards set by society. In effect, we are witnessing the affirmation of religious experiences, set by the traces of modernity, who preach the centrality of subjective and private sphere of religion. As a result, experiments such as Ecclesial Base Communities - CEBs for take hold in view of the collective and social character of religion, come into crisis. In this sense, this work is premised analyze the current situation of CEBs in Brazil, as suggested by the subtitle of our work, the process of the rise, decline and reinvention, and as a source of analysis a case study. Our theoretical option is for the concept of religious modernity, as worked out by Danièle Hervieu-Léger. As a research source, use of bibliographic production, arising from the fields of Sciences of Religions, Sociology, Anthropology and Theology. Thus, authors such as Faustino Teixeira, Leonardo Boff, José Comblin, among others, were of fundamental importance to the extent allowed us to better understand the elements that sustain and inspire the journey of CEBs. In analyzing the results of the field, the anthropological literature as Vagner Gonçalves, Roberto C. de Oliveira, among others, helped us to understand and cut the lines of our interviewees to collaborate with what was our interest in this study. As a result of research conducted in São Benedito community, city of Santa Rita/PB, obtained from the literature and the field itself some answers to the questions that inspired the construction of this work: there is still place for the CEBs in the current religious dynamics? Were they, in fact, the CEBs living a moment of reflux? Our results showed that the maintenance of CEBs in the Catholic religious scene, much depends on your own ability to renew themselves and interact with new social and religious demands.
