Assim, através da aproximação teórica e metodológica com a literatura e a arte, propõe-se a ampliar o estudo do estranhamento através do design, expandindo o campo ao colaborar com a discussão dos procedimentos artísticos em geral. Além disso, contribui com o estudo dos livros ilustrados ao lhes lançar um olhar estético e lhes conferir autonomia como um modo de experimentação pictórica e narrativa para ilustradores, artistas e autores. Para responder à problemática, no primeiro capítulo, buscamos particularizar o sentido de estranhamento ao traçar uma genealogia de conceitos e autores associados ao fenômeno cognitivo de estranhar. A seguir, exploramos as principais correntes estéticas modernas e seus conceitos: a alienação, o inquietante e o ostranenie. Em específico, expomos releituras mais recentes do ostranenie – proposto por Victor Shklovsky – que enfatizam suas implicações éticas e políticas em oposição às leituras estruturalistas vigentes até fins do século xx. O segundo capítulo inicia-se pela discussão do conceito de medium, ao adotar a acepção teórica do Formalismo Russo, a fim de defender que os livros ilustrados e os comics são categorias que operam segundo parâmetros das narrativas gráficas. Por fim, estabelecemos as propriedades do medium com o objetivo de explicitar os dispositivos das obras nas análises do capítulo 4. No terceiro capítulo, apresentamos Shaun Tan a fim de investigar os modos como sua produção articula significados entre o mundo e a arte. Através de sua trajetória artística, compreendemos as circunstâncias e motivações pessoais, e ao explorar seus processos pictóricos e seu imaginário, visualizamos suas motivações estéticas que resultam em imagens que compreendem visões de mundo. Por fim, analisamos três obras a partir de diferentes relações entre texto e imagem: A Árvore Vermelha (2001), A Chegada (2006) e Contos de Lugares Distantes (2008). Subjacente às suas especificidades, os livros ilustrados de Shaun Tan apresentam procedimentos de estranhamento, pois são capazes de realizar o fantástico e estranhar o banal, possibilitando que o leitor “trans-viva” a experiência através da percepção poética desencadeada pela obra. / This graduate thesis aims to identify the artistic devices and their relations on Shaun Tan's picturebooks which are directed to cause estrangement. Thus, by drawing theoretical and methodological relations with Literature and Art, we propose to expand research on the concept of estrangement within the field of Design, broadening its scope on the collaboration of discussions regarding artistic devices in general. Besides, it supports picturebooks studies by an aesthetic approach and conveying autonomy as a mode of pictorial and narrative experimentations for illustrators, artists and authors. To answer our research problem, on the first chapter, we aim to particularize the meaning of estrangement by establishing a genealogy of concepts and authors related to the cognitive phenomenon of estranging. Next, we delve into the main modern aesthetic currents and their concepts: alienation, the uncanny and ostranenie. Specifically, we look over Viktor Shklovsky's recent readings that emphasize the concept's ethical and political implications as opposed to prevailing structuralist readings up to the end of the 20th century. Then, we begin the second chapter by discussing the concept of medium and follow Russian Formalism's meaning in order to argue for the idea that picturebooks and comics are categories that operate according to the parameters of graphic narratives. Then, we establish the properties of the medium aiming to expound their devices on the analyses. On the third chapter, we present Shaun Tan in order to consider the ways that his works relate life and art. Through his artistic path, we understand the circumstances and personal motivations, and by exploring his pictorial techniques and his imagery, we visualize his aesthetic motivations that develop images that comprehend worldviews. At last, we analyze three picturebooks according to their relations between picture and text: The Red Tree (2001), The Arrival, (2006) and Tales from Outer Suburbia (2008). Underlying their specificities, Shaun Tan's picturebooks display devices of estrangement for they are able to realize the fantastic and estrange the mundane, allowing the reader to "trans-live" the experience through the poetic perception unlocked by the work of art.

The work takes as a research subject the Rock music of that time, considering the many rock bands that emerged in the period, but restricting analysis to the songs composed by Renato Russo, a musician who has appeared both in solo and in the bands Aborto Eletrico and Legião Urbana. So, the analysis was performed on some compositions focusing on the speech diffused by the musician, in order to realize his political positioning. The period which is being covered in the research takes as its starting point the year 1978, when the first compositions from the musician aroused, until 1990, when was released the album called "As Quarto Estações". Our sources are the songs and speech found in Renato Russo s compositions and the interviews he granted to the music press / A pesquisa parte da premissa de que o rock da década de 1980 serviu, enquanto prática cultural, como instrumento de crítica, inconformismo e reflexão acerca da situação política, social e econômica do Brasil. O trabalho toma como objeto de pesquisa o rock daquela época, considerando as inúmeras bandas de rock que surgiram no período, mas restringe as suas análises às canções compostas por Renato Russo, músico que atuou em carreira solo e nas bandas Aborto Elétrico e Legião Urbana. Para tanto foram realizadas análises de algumas composições com foco no discurso propalado pelo músico, procurando perceber o seu posicionamento político. O período que a pesquisa abrange toma como ponto de partida o ano de 1978, data em que surgem as primeiras composições do músico, depois indo até 1990, quando do lançamento do disco As Quatro Estações . Previously throughout history, the norm regarding the proper conduct of war began with aformal declaration of war, however since the end of the Second World War the usage of wardeclarations have decreased, and in its place the legitimacy of countries' actions have garneredmore attention. The study of legitimacy within the larger field of peace- and war studies haverecently evolved from the previous theory dominating the field, classical legitimacy theory,and today new perspectives regarding legitimacy are emerging. This study makes use of onesaid perspective, with its three areas of development in regards to classical legitimacy theory:audiences for legitimacy, legitimacy sources and legitimation. These areas of development areanalyzed in combination with political discourse analysis on one statement and two addressesby the President of the Russian Federation. The study’s findings concur in some respect withthe conclusions presented by von Billerbeck and Gippert; which stipulate that there are moreaudiences for legitimation than previously believed; the use of procedural legitimacy is morein use than out-put legitimacy; and the use of force with regards to the three empirical cases oflegitimation demonstrate the dual nature of force within the context of conflict. The findingsin this study does not constitute a complete understanding of legitimacy, but rather illustratesthe way countries use legitimacy in order to fortify their own actions.

O metateatro de Renato Russo : dramaturgo solitário

A dissertação apresenta a peça A verdadeira desorganização do desespero, escrita por Russo em setembro de 1982 e desconhecida do grande público por ter sido engavetada por 31 anos, e consequentemente jamais montada. A peça foi trazida à tona pela primeira vez em uma série de reportagens escrita por este pesquisador no jornal Correio Braziliense, em 2013. Esta investigação desdobra e analisa elementos do metateatro como hipotética ferramenta principal e de maior recorrência na dramaturgia de A verdadeira desorganização do desespero. A metodologia de abordagem dialoga com a cartografia, oestudo de caso e o trabalho de campo, dentro do recorte e objetos selecionados dometateatro, que traz a intervenção da personagem Carmela Veloso de Beauvoir – construída e motivada por esta pesquisa – para propor uma interferência performativa e metalinguística ao longo de todo o material, dividido em três partes principais. No primeiro capítulo, a pesquisa retrata uma breve perspectiva histórica da cena teatral brasiliense no final da década de 1970 e primeiros anos da década seguinte, para estabelecer um marco contextual do período no qual Renato teve maior contato com o teatro produzido em Brasília e reconstruir seus primeiros passos na prática da linguagem teatral. O segundo capítulo examina o marco conceitual do metateatro, enquanto o terceiro e último capítulo apura os achados do laboratório prático instigado pela primeira leitura dramática da peça de Renato Russo, promovida por este pesquisador em 2017, com alunos do Departamento de Artes Cênicas da Universidade de Brasília, de forma a permitir esta investigação sobre a metateatralidade de Renato Russo, assim como favorecer um olhar crítico sobre o material jamais encenado. / This research investigates Renato Russo (1960 – 1996) as a playwright, an unknown side of him, widely recognized as a musician, poet, rock star and lead singer of the band Legião Urbana. The dissertation presents the play A verdadeira desorganização do desespero (The true disorganization of despair), written by Renato Russo in September, 1982 and unknown to the general public, as it had been shelved for 31 years, and consequently never staged. The play was brought up to the public eye, for the first time, throughout a series of articles written by this researcher and published in Correio Braziliense, in 2013. This investigation unfolds and analyzes elements from metatheatre as hypothetical main and most recurrent tool in the dramaturgy of A verdadeira desorganização do desespero. The methodology of approach dialogues with cartography, the study case and the field work, within the scope and selected matters of metatheatre, which brings out the character Carmela Veloso de Beauvoir – framed and motivated by this research – to propose a metalinguistic and performative interference throughout the material. In the first chapter, the research portrays a brief historical perspective of the theatre panorama in the end of the 1970‟s and the first years of the following decade, to establish a contextual framework of the period in which Renato had a greater contact with the theatre produced in Brasília and to rebuild his first steps in the practice of theatrical language. The second chapter examines the conceptual framework of metatheatre, while the third and final chapter scans the findings of the practical laboratory instigated by the first dramatic reading of Renato Russo's play, promoted by this researcher in 2017, with students from the Department of Performing Arts of the University of Brasília, in order to allow this investigation on the metatheatry of Renato Russo, as well as to favor a critical eye on the never staged material.
