LSMU MA studentų darbo su kompiuteriu ergonomika ir nusiskundimai sveikata / LUHS MA Student’s Work with Computers Ergonomics and Health Issues

Darbo tikslas: įvertinti studentų darbo su kompiuteriu ergonomines sąlygas bei nusiskundimus sveikata. Darbo uždaviniai: nustatyti studentų naudojimosi kompiuteriu stažą, vidutinę darbo su kompiuteriu trukmę ir įvertinti kompiuterinę įrangą; nustatyti, kaip studentai vertina savo darbo su kompiuteriu vietą, išsiaiškinti dažniausias darbo vietos ergonomines problemas; įvertinti studentų sveikatos nusiskundimus dirbant kompiuteriu ir nustatyti ryšį tarp darbo vietos bei laiko praleisto prie kompiuterio ir juntamų sveikatos nusiskundimų; įvertinti studentų subjektyvią sveikatą. Tyrimo medžiaga ir metodai. Tyrimas buvo atliktas 2011 metais Kauno mieste. Tiriamųjų grupę sudarė Lietuvos sveikatos mokslų universiteto, medicinos, odontologijos bei visuomenės sveikatos fakultetų studentai. Buvo išdalinta 300 anketų, o grąžinta 258 anketos. Tyrimo atsako dažnumas buvo 86 proc. Duomenys buvo kaupiami programoje Excel. Matematinė statistinė analizė atlikta naudojant programą SPSS 18.0, rezultatai laikyti statistiškai reikšmingais kai p<0,05. Tyrimo Rezultatai: Studentai vidutiniškai naudojasi kompiuteriu 10 metų: apie 11 metų vyrai ir apie 9 metus moterys. Per dieną tiek vyrai, tiek moterys vidutiniškai praleidžia po 3,32 valandas. Apie 82 proc. studentų dirbdami kompiuteriu daro pertraukas, tačiau dirbantys ne ilgiau nei 1 valandą per dieną, pertraukas daro retai. Studentai dažniausiai naudojasi ne senesniais nei 8 metai, 15 colių įstrižainės nešiojamaisiais kompiuteriais. Dažniausios... [toliau žr. visą tekstą] / Aim of the study: to evaluate student‘s work with computer ergonomic conditions and health issues. Objectives of the research: to rate student’s computer experience, the average duration of working with the computers and evaluate computer software, determine how students assess their computer work place, to identify the most common workplace ergonomic issues and assess the health problems of students working with the computers and to establish a ratio between the workplace and time spent working with the computer and perceived health complaints. Material and methods. The study was performed in 2011 in Kaunas. The group consisted of the students of Lithuanian University of Health Sciences. 300 questionnaires were distributed and 258 returned. The study response rate was 86 %. Data were collected in Microsoft Excel. Mathematical analysis was performed using the statistical program SPSS 18.0 for windows, the results were statistically significant at p <0.05. Results of the study. Average experience of computer use among students was 10 years: 11 years among men and 9 years among women. Both genders approximately work with computer 3.32 hours per day. About 82 % of the students make intervals during work with computer. Most students use not older than 8 years, 15 inch laptops. Survey of Selected Contemporary Taiwanese Female Composers of Music for Solo Piano

abstract: The purpose of this project was to examine the lives and solo piano works of four members of the early generation of female composers in Taiwan. These four women were born between 1950 and 1960, began to appear on the Taiwanese musical scene after 1980, and were still active as composers at the time of this study. They include Fan-Ling Su (b. 1955), Hwei-Lee Chang (b. 1956), Shyh-Ji Pan-Chew (b. 1957), and Kwang-I Ying (b. 1960). Detailed biographical information on the four composers is presented and discussed. In addition, the musical form and features of all solo piano works at all levels by the four composers are analyzed, and the musical characteristics of each composer's work are discussed. The biography of a fifth composer, Wei-Ho Dai (b. 1950), is also discussed but is placed in the Appendices because her piano music could not be located. This research paper is presented in six chapters: (1) Prologue; the life and music of (2) Fan-Ling Su, (3) Hwei-Lee Chang, (4) Shyh-Ji Pan-Chew, and (5) Kwang-I Ying; and (6) Conclusion. The Prologue provides an overview of the development of Western classical music in Taiwan, a review of extant literature on the selected composers and their music, and the development of piano music in Taiwan. The Conclusion is comprised of comparisons of the four composers' music, including their personal interests and preferences as exhibited in their music. For example, all of the composers have used atonality in their music. Two of the composers, Fan-Ling Su and Kwang-I Ying, openly apply Chinese elements in their piano works, while Hwei-Lee Chang tries to avoid direct use of the Chinese pentatonic scale. The piano works of Hwei-Lee Chang and Shyh-Ji Pan-Chew are chromatic and atonal, and show an economical usage of material. Nesse contexto, ? importante considerar que embora tenha import?ncia social e econ?mica para o Brasil, nos ?ltimos anos, a suinocultura vem sofrendo severas cr?ticas em virtude da polui??o, sobretudo h?drica, constatada nas regi?es de maior concentra??o animal, colocando sob questionamento o modelo produtivo atualmente adotado. Contudo, observa-se interesse crescente pela ado??o de sistemas alternativos de cria??o de su?nos, entre eles, a cria??o em cama sobreposta que reduz os riscos de contamina??o ambiental pela convers?o do manejo dos dejetos da fase l?quida para a s?lida, al?m da possibilidade de utiliza??o do material org?nico resultante dessa pr?tica como fertilizante. Os objetivos deste trabalho foram: (a) fazer a caracteriza??o f?sica e qu?mica da cama sobreposta de su?no como adubo org?nico, levando em conta a legisla??o brasileira vigente quanto ?s exig?ncias para a destina??o de compostos org?nicos; e (b) avaliar os efeitos da aplica??o da cama sobreposta de su?no nos atributos qu?micos de um Neossolo Quartzar?nico e na produ??o de massa seca e ac?mulo de nutrientes em plantas de milho. Programa de P?s-Gradua??o em Produ??o Vegetal, Universidade Federal dos Vales do Jequitinhonha e Mucuri, 2010. / ABSTRACT The animal creating in confinement, in the region Alto Vale do Jequitinhonha-MG, encounter environmental thermal conditions highly favorable and the swine production is shown as a promising activity, especially within the farming family, which is a mode for quite compatible with the reality of this region. In this context, it?s important to consider that although has great social and economical relevance for Brazil, in recent years, the swine production industry has been severely criticized due to pollution, mainly in water, that has been noticed in regions where swine production is concentrated. This fact puts in question the current production model. But there is a growing interest in adopting the deep-litter production system, which reduces the risk of environmental contamination by converting the waste handling of the liquid to solid, beyond the possibility of use of organic material resulting from this practice as fertilizer. The objectives of this study were: (a) evaluating performing the physical and chemical characterization of deep-litter for use as an organic fertilizer, taking into account the current legislation for organic compounds and; (b) evaluate the effects of application on physical and chemical properties of a Typic Quartzipsamment, and on nutrient accumulation and dry matter yield of maize plants. By the results obtained, we can conclude: (1) there is a need for additional composting, without the presence of animals, previous to the deep-litter be used as organic fertilizer; (2) the parameters of deep-litter evaluated, in this study, fall within the Brazilian legislation as simple organic fertilizers; (3) although, has provided increases in dry matter of maize, the effects of organic manure with deep-litter were much more pronounced in providing improvements in physical and chemical properties of soil to provide nutrients such as corn and; (4) the information about the use of deep-litter as fertilizer are scarce and; (5) an interesting aspect to assess in future studies, involving mainly the nitrogen mineralization of different types of deep-litter and your residence times in the swine production, in order to be able to establish the potencial fertilizer this compound and to recommend doses of fertilizer to crops.

Diante disso, o objetivo deste trabalho foi caracterizar os par?metros f?sico-qu?micos de dejetos l?quidos de su?nos (DLS), tratados em sistema de lagoas em s?rie e avaliar as altera??es nos atributos microbiol?gicos de um solo cultivado com caf? ap?s aplica??o de diferentes doses de DLS. O estudo foi conduzido na Granja Campo Alegre e na Fazenda Yamaguchi, no Munic?pio de Diamantina, Minas Gerais. Os DLS foram coletados em v?rios pontos: sa?da das instala??es, sa?da da lagoa anaer?bia, sa?da da primeira lagoa facultativa e sa?da da segunda lagoa facultativa, sendo analisados: Demanda Qu?mica de Oxig?nio (DQOt), Demanda Bioqu?mica de Oxig?nio (DBO5), Concentra??o de S?lidos Totais (ST), Nitrog?nio Total (N-Total), F?sforo, Pot?ssio, Zinco e Cobre. Ap?s an?lise, os dejetos foram aplicados em um cafeeiro, em experimento, constitu?do por cinco tratamentos com cinco repeti??es. As amostras de solo foram coletadas, na camada de 0-10 cm, de profundidade. Foram avaliados a respira??o basal, o carbono da biomassa microbiana e determinado o quociente metab?lico. Os resultados permitiram constatar que o sistema de lagoas de estabiliza??o em s?rie apresenta 88% de efici?ncia na remo??o de DQOt e 91% na remo??o de DBO5. As fra??es de s?lidos apresentaram comportamento semelhante e a efici?ncia de remo??o de N-Total correspondeu a 24,2%. O uso de dejetos l?quidos de su?nos no solo, antes e 30 dias ap?s sua aplica??o, aumentou a biomassa microbiana do solo e a atividade microbiana. Programa de P?s-Gradua??o em Produ??o Vegetal, Universidade Federal dos Vales do Jequitinhonha e Mucuri, 2010. / ABSTRACT The distribution in biofertilizer form is a feasible alternative for disposal of waste produced by pigs, since they have nutrients such as phosphorus, nitrogen, among others. Therefore, the objective of this study was to characterize the physical and chemical parameters of pig slurry (DLS), treated in a system of ponds in series and evaluate the changes in the microbial soil of a coffee plantation after applying different doses of pig slurry. The study was conducted in the Campo Alegre Farm and Ranch Yamaguchi in the city of Diamantina, Minas Gerais. The DLS were collected at various points: exit of the facilities, exit of the anaerobic pond, exit of the first facultative pond, exit of the second facultative pond, and analyzed: Chemical Oxygen Demand (DQOt), Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD5) concentration Total Solids (DS), Total Nitrogen (Total-N), Phosphorus, Potassium, Zinc, and Copper. After analysis, the pig manure were applied in a coffee plantation, in an experiment consisting of five treatments with five replications. Soil samples were collected at 0-10 cm depth. It was evaluated the basal respiration, microbial biomass carbon and metabolic quotient determined. The results show that the system of stabilization ponds in series features 88% efficiency in removing DQOt and 91% for BOD5 removal. The fractions of solids showed similar behavior and t removal efficiency of Total-N accounted for 24.2%. Use of pig slurry in soil, before and 30 days after application, amplified the soil microbial biomass and microbial activity. The results showed that the system of stabilization ponds in series proves to be effective in removing excess nutrients. It is noteworthy that treatment showed favorable characteristics for reuse of wastes as biofertilizers.

Para isso, analisei as relações entre vida e linguagem, o combate corpo a corpo que ele sus-tentou em toda a sua pequena e significativa produção: a poesia reunida em A noite di-vidida e os manuscritos publicados postumamente nos livros Albas e Ventos da minha alma. No dualismo dialógico entre vida e obra, ressaltei aspectos como o ritmo fundan-te, a ideia-metáfora da supracasa, a metalinguagem, que se ampliam na dupla Sebastião Alba-Dinis Albano, como personagem de si mesmo. Defendo que o poeta luso-moçambicano entrelaça o fazer poético com sua visão de mundo e sua postura existen-cial efetiva – a imagética conciliada ao ritmo original conquistado na escrita. O homem não se descola do conteúdo da obra. Assim, o termo supracasa significa um lugar outro que não se encontra localizado no território geográfico onde a sociedade civil se institui. Analisei os tópicos reincidentes encontrados na obra poética: a representação da paisa-gem, a vibração amorosa, a simbologia dos pássaros e a tensão entre imanência do mundo e transcendência vazia. / Dans cette thèse, j’ai traité de certains aspects de l’oeuvre plus personnelle du poète por-tugais-mozambicain Sebastião Alba, pseudonyme de Dinis Albano (1940-2000). Pour cela, j’ai analysé la relation entre la vie et la langue, la lutte qu’il a soutenu en toute sa petite et significative production: la poésie rassemblé en A noite dividida et les manus-crits publiés à titre posthume dans les livres Albas et Ventos da minha alma. Sur le dua-lisme dialogique entre la vie et l’oeuvre, j’ai souligné l’aspects comme le rythme fonda-teur, l’idée-métaphore le supracasa, le métalangage, qui s'étendent dans le double Se-bastião Alba-Dinis Albano, comme personnage de lui-même. Je soutiens que le poète mozambicain-portugais amalgame le faire poétique avec leur vision du monde et sa pos-ture existentielle effective – l’imagerie conciliée avec le rythme original conquis par l’écriture. Cet homme n’a pas se détaché du contenu de son oeuvre. Ainsi, le terme su-pracasa signifie un lieu autre que n’est pas situe sur le territoire géographique où la société civile s’institue. J’ai analysé les thèmes récurrents trouvé dans l’oeuvre poétique: la représentation de le paysage, le frisson amoureuse, le symbolisme des oiseaux et la tension entre l’immanence du monde et la transcendance vide.

Foram avaliados o desempenho, os par?metros quantitativos e qualitativos da carca?a, o perfil de ?cidos graxos e a viabilidade econ?mica das dietas. O uso dos Blends nas dietas n?o influenciou o desempenho nem a qualidade da carca?a, mas aumentou o marmoreio e o rendimento de carca?a. O perfil de ?cidos graxos do lombo apresentou maiores quantidades de ?cido este?rico no Blend 3 e maior percentual de ?cidos graxos insaturados nos animais do Blend 1, o tecido adiposo apresentou maior quantidade de ?cido mir?stico no Blend 1 e ?cido oleico no Blend 3. A ra??o controle foi a mais econ?mica. Os Blends n?o ofereceram preju?zo no desempenho e caracter?sticas de carca?a e melhorou o perfil de ?cidos graxos da carne. / The objective of this study was to evaluate the addition of different Blends of vegetable oils in feed for finished pigs. Twenty - four castrated male pigs with initial mean weight of 72 ? 3.4 kg / PV were used in a randomized complete block design with four treatments and six replicates. The treatments consisted of: Control ration - soybean oil 100%; And the combination of the different oils forming: Blend 1- (50% soybean oil, 25% flaxseed oil, 12.5% olive oil and 12.5% canola oil); Blend 2- (25% soybean oil, 50% linseed oil, 12.5% olive and 12.5% canola); And Blend 3- (25% soybean oil, 12.5% flaxseed oil, 12.5% olive oil and 50% canola oil). The performance, the quantitative and qualitative parameters of the carcass, the fatty acid profile and the economic viability of the diets were evaluated. The use of Blends in the diets did not influence the performance nor the quality of the carcass, but increased the marbling, and the carcass yield. The profile of fatty acids of the loin presented higher amounts of stearic acid in Blend 3 and higher percentage of unsaturated fatty acids in the Blend 1 animals, the adipose tissue presented greater amount of myristic acid in Blend 1 and oleic acid in Blend 3. Control was the most economic. The Blends did not adversely affect performance and carcass characteristics and improved the fatty acid profile of meat.

Pesquisa do Estado do RJ - FAPERJ / Considering the practice of using liquid alcoholic yeast (beer yeast) - a byproduct of the brewery industry - for animal feed on some farms in the southern Fluminense region of Brazil, this study was made to establish the safety margin and the clinic-pathological picture of the intoxication characterized mainly by staggering gait, trips and falls; furthermore, to suggest preventive measures that could avoid or minimize this type of alcoholic intoxication in sheep and pigs. It was seen that the clinic-pathologic picture of the experimental intoxication by beer yeast in sheep, and the natural and experimental intoxication in pigs, is similar to that observed in other animal species poisoned by ethanol, or in cattle by beer yeast. Concentrations of 3.8 and 8.875mL/kg of ethanol contained in the yeast, caused respectively mild to moderate clinical signs and severe ones in sheep. As prophylactic measures are suggested (1) appropriated dilution of beer yeast in water or with beer yeast already stored on the farm (old yeast), (2) beer yeast administration proportionally to animal weight/size, (3) continuous administration without interruption, providing other food is given, as soybean or corn meal, with water ad libitum. It was concluded that despite beer yeast is increasingly used for sheep, pigs and cattle on farms in southern Rio de Janeiro state - since many farmers apply one or more prophylactic measure suggested here - ethanol intoxication through beer yeast is uncommon and death rarely occurs; so, the yeast could be used, providing the prophylactic measures are observed. / Considerando a pr?tica de utilizar ?levedo? l?quido (alco?lico) (LC) - subproduto da ind?stria cervejeira - na alimenta??o de animais, em alguns estabelecimentos da Regi?o Sul Fluminense, esse estudo foi realizado para estabelecer as margens de seguran?a e o quadro cl?nico-patol?gico caracterizado principalmente por andar cambaleante, trope?os e quedas; bem como sugerir medidas profil?ticas que impe?am ou minimizem esse tipo de intoxica??o alco?lica para ovinos e su?nos. Verificou-se que o quadro cl?nico-patol?gico na intoxica??o experimental em ovinos e nas intoxica??es natural e experimental em su?nos, ? semelhante ao observado em outras esp?cies intoxicadas por etanol ou em bovinos pelo LC. DECONFINED QUANTUM CRITICALITY IN 2D SU(N) MAGNETS WITH ANISOTROPY

In this thesis I will outline various quantum phase transitions in 2D models of magnets that are amenable to simulation with quantum Monte Carlo techniques. The key player in this work is the theory of deconfined criticality, which generically allows for zero temperature quantum phase transitions between phases that break distinct global symmetries. I will describe models with different symmetries including SU(N), SO(N), and "easy-plane" SU(N) and I will demonstrate how the presence or absence of continuous transitions in these models fits together with the theory of deconfined criticality.

The study suggests some proposals regarding agri-food economic crime and corporate liability.
