At present , the smart IC card multiple applications have been accepted widely and gradually in all levels of the society. Nowadays it's not surprise for one person to own several IC cards. But such a situation will make the IC cards overload in one's purse if these varying IC card applications are not integrated appropriately. It causes cardholders' embarrassment in using them. Thus, results contract the main purpose of the IC card¡¦s invention which would prove the convenient management for multiple applications. In this study, the management of integration for multi-application in one card was implemented . According to retail and marketing report with the service trade in America and Europe, 80% profit come from 20% loyal customer, so maintain existing loyalty of customer and improve them purchase and how about develop the new travelers continuously, let them become loyal customer is important . The dividend accumulates some and exchanges goods, and can enjoy the favorable practice to consume to hold the card in the special trade company, has already solemnly become a tool which attract customers to consume continuously with, but has observed various kinds of savings cards that the society has already existed now or accumulated a card and has been only limited to applying to the single trade company or the single group, cause consumers to reduce greatly too in maintaining customer's loyal validity in the inconvenience on of using. This research is directed against this shortcoming promptly, develop one set and jointly accumulate the operation way to click, analyses its financial feasibility. Direct against this disappearance, if can develop one set and jointly accumulate some mechanisms of exchanging goods together, can create the win-win situation. In the research structure of this research, collect relevant industry's information that the dividend accumulates some operation at first, by accumulating the cognition with the foundation of some industries and understanding to the dividend. Then regarded as the key goal of this research by way of planning one set and jointly accumulating the operation that is clicked. And, in order to probe into the actual feasibility of this operation way, utilize computer software to build and construct a financial assessment model linked dynamically, include relevant operation materials and the operation ways of the parameter and pictures advised in among them. And the financial affairs utilizing the financial model to make predict the reference basis that can be assessed as investment.

Smart Antennas with Dynamic Sector Beam Synthesis in Wireless Communications

Chu, Chien-An 27 June 2002 (has links)
Over the last few years‚ the number of subscribers of wireless services has increased at an explosive rate. This ever growing demand for wireless communications services is constantly increasing the need for better coverage‚ improved capacity and higher quality service. Smart antennas system is an effective technology for the performance improvement of wireless communications. Switching-beam smart antennas use a number of fixed beams at an antenna site. The system provides a beam that offers the best signal enhancement and interference reduction. Using the approach of dynamic switching-beam antenna system‚ an intelligent sector beam synthesis of adjustable sector width can be established. By doing so‚ traffic load balancing can be achieved, and therefore, system capacity is increased. In this thesis, a beam-pattern synthesis algorithm proposed by M.H. Er is applied to shape array patterns with an adjustable mainlobe width and average sidelobe level reduction. Using an established database of weighting for circular arrays, the proposed smart antennas can adjust suitable sectors for the high dense subscribers not uniformly distributed. Simulation results demonstrate the proposed technique can dramatically improve the performance of traditional switching-beam antennas.

Design and implementation of the four-beam smart antennas based on butler matrix

Li, Wei-Ren 07 July 2003 (has links)
The switched-beam antenna is one type of the smart antennas, which consists of the antenna array and the beamforming network. The four-beam smart antenna generates four beams to cover a 120¢X area, which can be used to improve the carrier-to-interference ratio and the frequency reuse of a cellular system. Due to the attractive features of microstrip antennas such as low profile, easy fabrication, and low cost, we use microstrip antennas as array elements. In this thesis, we propose a novel four-beam beamforming network which consists of a 4¡Ñ4 Butler Matrix and four 180¢X power dividers. This network is able to provide low side-lobe level. A modified Butler Matrix not only simplifies the circuit of the 8¡Ñ8 Butler Matrix, but also meet the requirement of the original Butler Matrix. From the result of measurement, the side-lobe level of each beam of the modified Butler Matrix is less than ¡V10 dB. We also show that this method is applicable to any Butler matrix.

The Study of Utilizing IC Smart Card to Integrate Ticketing by Kaohsiung Rapid Transit Coporation

Chin, Yi-Wen 30 July 2003 (has links)
Abstract Because of its various features and advantages, utilizing IC smart card as a tool to integrate transport ticketing. has become an international trend. The electronic ticketing system can save cost, simplify fare collection procedure, increase passenger flow, and decrease time lag. By this new type of ticking technology, it further advances service quality, operation efficiency and transport capacity for the transport system operation. Furthermore, resources may be shared though the alliance among different industrial sectors and the ticket integration. The objectives of this study are try to find ways how to install IC smart card to implement ticket integration and minimize cost through ticket integration, as well as to find the factors of success in the ticket integration from profitability viewpoint for Kaohsiung Rapid Transit Corp. The ways of implementation of relative users in these factors are also evaluated to propose a feasible implementation project and a concept of overall development, so as to meet the target of integrating mass transport tickets for the Kaohsiung metropolitan area. Other relative IC smart card business will be further developed to advance operation efficiency, decrease operation cost, and increase revenue of the case company, leading to an enterprise of perpetual operation. From market environment aspect, regulatory policy aspect, technical specification of the card, and deep interviews with relative suppliers such as Hongkong Octopus Card, Taipei Easy Card, Southern Taiwan Smart Card etc., we try to find four key factors affecting ticket integration, so as to comply with the specification and limit provided in our bank laws, clarify the allocation of costs of installing equipment and distribution of profit sources, and carefully select specification of the card. Before integrating ticket, small consumptions must be combined to explore business opportunity. The experiences in continual improvements in these four factors of relative users are considered in our proposal of overall development concept and implementation project for Kaohsiung Rapid Transit Corp. As soon ticket integration is initiated, the issuing of joint card should be discussed with banks, so as to clarify the allocation of costs of installing equipment and distribution of profit sources among banks and relative participants, and then build an efficient operation model. All measures such as the adoption of non-touch card in conformity with specifications of ISO and Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications, preparation of combining small consumptions, cooperation with retailers for profits, exploration of card distribution channels, and application range of card, are necessary projects leading to success in the implementation of the target of ticket integration.

Studies of phase separable soluble polymers

Furyk, Steven Michael 16 August 2006 (has links)
The technique of phase labeling has the ability to greatly enhance synthetic protocol by simplifying purification and increasing efficiency. Traditional insoluble supports offer efficient and simple recovery of the “phase tagged” material but suffer from problems inherent to their heterogeneous nature. A solution to these problems has been to utilize phase separable soluble polymers in the design of “smart” responsive systems that offer the option of homogenous reaction conditions with heterogeneous separation conditions. The subject of this dissertation focuses on the application of soluble polymeric phase tags in systems where the miscibility between solid-liquid and liquid-liquid systems is thermally induced. Low molecular weight poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) oligomers were investigated as phase anchors for SCS palladacycle catalysts. The oligomeric PEG chains were sufficient to engender polar phase solubility in a heptane-DMA thermomorphic system. Microwave irradiation of these thermomorphic mixtures of palladium complexes and substrates was a viable scheme to recycle and significantly shorten reaction times for simple Heck reactions of aryl iodides. Soluble polymeric supports possessing a lower critical solution temperature (LCST) were utilized in the sequestration of the S-triazine herbicide, atrazine, from contaminated water samples. The ability of poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) to sequester hydrophobic guests like atrazine was examined. A functionalized PNIPAM derivative containing secondary cyclic amines exhibited superior sequestration ability that was credited to the covalent binding of the atrazine. In order to facilitate the design of tailored, thermally responsive, smart polymers, a high throughput temperature gradient microfluidic device was used to obtain LCST data in a fast, accurate manner. The specific ion effects of various alkali metal halide salts on the LCST of PNIPAM were investigated. The high precision in the measurements enabled more subtle effects such as changes in solvent isotope, polymer microstructure, molecular weight, and importance of end group effects on the LCST of poly(N-alkylacrylamide)s to be evaluated.
