En förändrad lärarroll Diskussionen om fostransuppdraget Teacher´s role in change The discussion about the mission in discipline

Filling, Martina, Rasmusson, Therese January 2010 (has links)
Nyckelord: Aga, auktoritet, disciplin, fostran, omsorg. / AbstractThe work, which was written by Martina Filing Therese Rasmussen, is about the perception of the teacher changed fostransroll between 1946 and 1962. The title of the work is a changing roles and the purpose is to explore the different perspectives that exist in the discussion of teacher roles task of character formation between 1946 and 1962. In order to achieve a result and draw a conclusion, the two journals used as sources, which were published during the period of investigation to conduct an examination. Selected articles from the journals were reviewed and were brought to a text analysis. The material on text analysis consists of teacher newspapers School and Society and the Swedish Teachers Journal. The results of the study show that the debate about teacher fostransroll has been lively and shared. Spanking as punishment medium was contentious, as some wanted to maintain the system and wanted to find new methods of compensation. The teachers felt a fear of losing the natural leadership role after the abolition spankings while experts debated educational tools to how the teacher could act in fostransuppdraget.Keyword: Aga, authority, discipline, education, social services.

Understanding Collaboration, Its Antecedents And Perceived Outcomes In Service Partnerships Of Community-based Organizations

Concha, Maritza 01 January 2011 (has links)
The purpose of this study is to assess the motivations of community-based organizations (CBOs) staff to participate in service partnerships and their influence on collaboration practices and perceived outcomes of collaborative efforts. This study uses structural equation modeling to assess the relationships between exogenous variables (motivational factors) and endogenous variables (inter-organizational collaboration and perceived outcomes). This study also uses qualitative methods to address perceptions on collaboration not captured by the survey instrument. A total of 538 service partnership staff (supervisors and front liners) received the survey's link or a copy of the survey to participate. Out of the 538, 217 completed the survey which represents a 40% response rate. Due to missing responses and multiple outliers, 201 observations were used for analysis. Based on the findings of this study, it was concluded that the development of service partnerships are mostly affected by environmental factors related to solving social problems which accounts for 37% of variance in inter-organizational collaboration. Empirical evidence from this study has shown that CBOs staff have the tendency to work for the purpose of meeting their social missions. Furthermore, inter-organizational collaboration accounts for 76% of variance in perceived outcomes. When a three factor collaboration model was created, it was further noticed that cognitive and resource reciprocity statistically significant influence perceived outcomes where differences in the perceptions of front liners and supervisors were also found. These findings highlight important aspects to understand the collaboration dynamics of service partnerships and also points out the different iii views of community based organization staff regarding the motivation to collaborate and the impact of collaboration practices in perceived collaboration outcomes. However, it is also important to note that findings on the comparison between front liners and supervisors are exploratory in nature as there could be other external factors that could affect the impact in interorganizational collaboration and collaboration outcomes. Regarding the focus groups, three themes emerged with respect to the motivations for participating in service partnerships. Agents for social change, building relationships and needs of resources are recurrent themes that explained the desires to collaborate. On collaboration practices, two main general themes emerged which are interdependence and partnership values. Lastly, impacting the community, sustainability issues and expanding services were the main themes found when perception of service partnership outcomes was addressed. Findings of this study suggest further exploration on multi-dimensional models of collaboration, investigate differences in staff perceptions, and continue exploring the influence of social threat responsiveness in inter-organizational collaboration and perceived partnerships outcomes.

Work With Honor-Related Violence And Oppression : A systematic litterature study about problem comprehensions, working methods and shortcomings

Gruda, Rijalda, Ilyaz, Elif January 2023 (has links)
Honor-related violence and oppression has become increasingly noticed in Swedish society due to unfortunate cases regarding young women and the normative culture of their families. For this reason the honor-related research field in Sweden has also increased and several studies have been carried out on. In Sweden it is the social services that have the primary responsibility to provide support to the victims of honor-related violence and oppression. The aim of this composition is to analyze how the social services in Sweden work with the victims and the shortcomings that follow within the work according to results of previous research in terms of scientific articles and reports. Furthermore, the aim is also to investigate in what way previous research discusses the concept of the word culture related to studies on honor-related violence and oppression. This composition is based on the results of nine scientific articles and reports that have thoroughly been inspected. The research results indicate that the social services working methods aim for safety but lack due to having a limited capacity for action in terms of budget and legal adaptation. The previous research also indicates that the cultural aspects in studies on honor-related violence and oppression may vary depending on focus of study. The results gave two perspectives on whether culture is an explanatory model for the honor-related phenomenon or if it is in need of further explanation.

The Relative Effect of Supportive and Transformational Leadership on Emotional Exhaustion and Turnover Intention in Front-line Homeless Sector Workers

Wilson, Scott 28 September 2022 (has links)
The front-line homeless-sector workforce provides an essential service in an often emotionally-taxing environment that leads to high turnover. However, there has been limited research focused on front-line homeless sector workers or the supervisory support needed to mitigate the stressful nature of their work. A web-based survey of front-line homeless-sector workers (n=82) was conducted to compare the relative effects of transformational and supportive leadership on emotional exhaustion and turnover intention in front-line homeless sector workers. Established and validated measures were used for each of the variables in the study; the Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire for transformational leadership, the Inventory of Supportive and Unsupportive Managerial Behaviours for supportive leadership, the Maslach Burnout Inventory for emotional exhaustion, and the TIS-6 Turnover Intention Scale for turnover intention. Correlational analysis and multivariate multiple regression were used to analyze the relative effects. It was found that although transformational leadership has a correlational association with emotional exhaustion, it does not have a significant association with turnover intention. It also does not have a predictive relationship with either emotional exhaustion or turnover intention in front-line homeless-sector workers. Supportive leadership, however, had significant correlational associations and significant predictive relationships with both emotional exhaustion and turnover intention in the respondents. Implications for homeless-serving agencies and for supervisory support for front-line homeless-sector workers are discussed. / Graduate

Socialtjänstens brottsofferstödjande insatser. Möjligheter, hot och framtida utmaningar

Wiklander Josefsson, Linn January 2015 (has links)
Interest in crime victim issues has grown stronger in Sweden in recent decades. The social services have the statutory responsibility to offer victims of crime the help and support they need. Recent indications suggest that there are major shortcomings in the social services for crime victim support. Based on these shortcomings this study investigates two primary issues: (1) why has it been so difficult for the social services to fulfill their statutory responsibilities towards victims of crime and (2) what would be needed for the social services for crime victim support to work better than it does today? No similar study has been conducted in this area before.Through the execution of eight key informant interviews these issues were investigated by the use of a designed model constituted of various factors including the concept of ability. This concept has been a central point for the mapping of the social services’ ability to support victims of crime. The key informants consisted of representatives in key positions in operations that work with different crime victim issues. The results show that there is a great uncertainty around these issues. It was also found that a majority of those interviewed believe that the biggest problem regarding these issues is that the will and the necessary prioritization of crime victim matters are relatively low. These alarming findings show an even greater need of more studies performed in this field. Thus remains the important question; why is it so difficult for the social services to fulfill its statutory responsibility towards victims of crime? Further research should be directed at finding out where the real problem lies. Further on, suggestions for improvement should be investigated.
