Syndrom vyhoření / Burnout syndrom

The thesis is defined by a theoretical and empirical character. Its topic is focused on the term called burnout which affects teacher's profession at the primary school. The first part of the theoretical part is focused on the factors which can cause the beginning of a burnout. The next chapter defines the whole term burnout. The following part deals with the sources of the burnout. This chapter is closely related to the following chapter which is focused on the burnout expression. The particular phases of the burnout process are described in the following chapter. The attention is paid also to the teacher's work and the stress in this kind of profession. The last but one chapter introduces the consequences of the burnout and their influence on the teacher's work. The last part of the theoretical part describes the principles of the psychic hygiene and the tips on coping with stress. The practical part was realized by the help of a questionnaire. The received data serve to the comparison of the appearance of the burnout expressions between the lower primary school teachers and the upper primary school teachers and also to the comparison of these expressions between the primary school teachers and the practical primary school teachers.

The thesis is devoted to the topic of job satisfaction of social workers working in the Department of Employment Labor Services and dealing with people with different disabilities within the social assistance programs. The aim of this thesis is to determine how these social workers are satisfied with their jobs, and how this is affected by the workload and by the current work conditions. The thesis is then seeking to identify possible subsequent optimization of working conditions that would result in the improvement of the job satisfaction level of the workers. The final hypothsys were made based on the methodological triangulation, an in-depth analysis of the interviews with the social workers and thier observation and also the burnout syndrom test. The results could be used as a base for an improvement of working conditions of social workers and for identifying the most serious occupational stress factors that occur at the Department of Employment Labor Services and also other office departments dealing with people with disabilities. The research also points out the fact of an extensive number of burnout symptoms among social workers. Finally, this research creates opportunities for further exploration of various topics, especially how to reduce or eliminate the job stressors occurring on the exercise of this profession.

Burnout by nurses in intensive care Abstract: Objective of this thesis was to determine incidence of the risk of burnout by nurses in intensive care in the Motol University Hospital in Prague, compare to risk of burnout among nurses in intensive care for childern and adults and by age, sex, marital status, education, length of experience in health care and on the current department, satisfaction and performance in the workplace. The research method for data collection were two anonymous questionnaires: one prepared by author of the thesis and a standardized questionnaire by dr. Pines to determine the risk of burnout. It was found that more than hlaf of nurses in FN Motol had low risk of burnout and has not demonstrated that nurses have on children's or adult wards increased risk. Results confirmed that discontent and the increasing intensity of stress in the workplace is proportional to the risk of burnout. This research confirmed that although most nurses achieved good results has been shown a high percentage of nurses with alarmig score and even burnout. Therefore we should not ignore this issure, but rather to warn him and avoid unpleasant consequences through educational seminars, pleasant working environment and do not overload nurses. Master thesis is dealing with the influence of sport activity at burnout among nurses working in intensive care and resuscitation. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and the empirical part. In the theoretical part we deal with burnout, its risk factors, symptoms and preventive measures. Other chapters are devoted to sports, primarily focused on the influence of sports activities on psychological stress and burnout. We also describe the possibilities of introducing sport activities to the workplaces. The main goal of our work is to determine whether there exists a relationship between sport activity and the risk of burnout. The research was carried out with the use of a quantitative questionnaire survey, which consisted of two parts. The first part contained questions related to burnout and was conducted using a validated MBI (Maslach Burnout Inventory) questionnaire. The second part contained questions related to the leisure sports activities of nurses. Within Všeobecná fakultní nemocnice in Prague, Malvazinky rehabilitation clinic, hospital Mělník, Tanvald, Sedlčany and Neratovice were distributed 298 questionnaires to the nurses working on the resuscitation or intensive care departments. Prevence syndromu vyhoření u pracovníků vybraného domova pro seniory / Prevention of burnout syndrome among selected retirement home workers

Main topic of diploma's thesis is burnout syndrome with emphasis on its prevention. Theoretical part focuses on characteristics of this phenomenon, describes the most common symptoms, causes and diagnostics. It deals with prevention, supervision and possible ways of intervention. It describes retirement home as a social service including its clients and social workers. The aim of research part is to find out how does factors as an education, experience and personal characteristics can influence the burnout syndrome. Research part also aims how work environment and supervision impact on its workers. In this qualitative research is the semi-structured interviews with social workers is used as a key method with emphasis on their opinions and feelings about examined topics. Main method is extended by observation. Research results shows, that education and supervision do not affect burnout significantly. On the other hand the work environment, experience and personal characteristics are shown as a very significant contribution factors to burnout syndrome. Reaktioner av en krigsupplevelse kan tillsammans med en ändrad livsvärld grundar sig i att tappa kontrollen, leva med sitt lidande samt att uppleva existentiellt lidande. Syftet med denna studie är att beskriva och öka förståelsen i vården för vuxna personers upplevelser och deras reaktioner efter krig. Genom analys av kvalitativa artiklar har det gått att få en inblick i personers reaktioner efter ett krig för att kunna uppnå syftet med studien. Resultatet i uppsatsen är ämnat för alla kategorier av professioner inom sjukvården eftersom patienter som upplevt krig finns i alla vårdkontexter. Konklusion av resultaten är att livet bli påtagligt förändrat och att personerna på olika sätt strävar med att komma från sitt lidande. Upplevelse av utanförskap, ensamhet, förändrad identitet, förlora kontrollen, inte reagera emotionellt adekvat, att ha mardrömmar och tankar på självmord har inte bara betydelse för den drabbades förändrade livsvärld utan påverkar även familj, släkt och vänner. Livet efter en traumatisk händelse, tillsammans med det medföljande lidandet, kan ge upphov till ett förändrat perspektiv, både på sin identitet och på den levda världen. Vikten av att ha förståelse om vad detta innebär för den traumatiserade beskrivs med grund i patientens behov av att vårdas utifrån ett holistiskt patientperspektiv. Uppsatsen riktar sig till alla yrkesroller inom vården då traumatiserade människor kan förekomma i olika vårdkontexter. För att uppnå syftet att belysa livet efter en traumatisk händelse har metoden baserats på en analys av artiklar med inriktning på hur livet upplevs efter ett trauma. För att tolka det analytiska materialet har författarna inspirerats av ett hermeneutiskt perspektiv med utgång i livsvärldsperspektivet. Resultatet visar ett förändrat liv som är präglat av traumat med grunder i den traumatiserades strävan att undkomma sitt lidande. Upplevelser av ensamhet, hopplöshet och bristande känslomässig kontroll genomsyrar inte bara den traumatiserades livsvärld utan har även stor påverkan på familj och vänner. Dagbok inom intensivvård : en verklighetsbeskrivning grundad på uppmuntran och hopp

På många intensivvårdsavdelningar skrivs det dagbok för patienten. Dagboksskrivande på intensivvårdsavdelning är dokumentation av vårdtiden skrivet till patienten av sjuksköterskor och annan vårdpersonal och i vissa fall närstående. Intensivvårdsavdelningen är en tekniktät miljö som kan upplevas skrämmande och stressig för patienten, vård på intensivvårdsavdelning kan orsaka posttraumatisk stress syndrom efter vårdtiden. Forskning visar att dagboken tillsammans med uppföljningsverksamhet efter vårdtiden på intensivvårdsavdelningen kan minska risken för utveckling av post traumatisk stress syndrom. Syftet med studien var att beskriva innehållet i patientens dagbok från vårdtiden på intensivvårdsavdelningen. Den vetenskapliga ansatsen är kvalitativ där datainsamling har skett genom insamling av totalt sju patientdagböcker från fyra olika sjukhus i Sverige. Analysmetoden kvalitativ innehållsanalys användes. Resultatet presenteras i 16 underkategorier och fem kategorier. Resultatet visar att innehållet i dagboken handlar om orsak till patientens sjukdomstillstånd och behandling, förändringar i andningen, patientens kommunikation, hälsofrämjande aktiviteter och beskrivningar av omvärlden. Kategorierna har sammanförts till ett tema där dagbokens innehåll ses som en verklighetsbeskrivning genom dialog grundad på uppmuntran och hopp. / Program: Specialistsjuksköterskeutbildning med inriktning mot intensivvård

The theoretical part provides an overview of the burnout syndrome and its symptoms, phases, and development. It also deals with disease prevention and a syndrome treatment. The practical part consists of quantitative research which tries to get through the issue of the burnout syndrome and to investigate the awareness of students of the Faculty of Education in the fields of teacher training for kindergartens, primary school teachers and teachers for the second level of primary school and secondary school teachers about the topic.

Burnout syndrome has recently been a frequently discussed term. Burnout is a state of emotional, mental and physical exhaustion as a result of excessive chronic stress. Burnout syndrome affects all people regardless of their age and occupation. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part of this thesis defines burnout syndrome, explains its causes of origin and describes its phases, symptoms and risk factors for its occurrence. Furthermore, the thesis deals with prevention of burnout and distinguishes burnout from other negative phenomena. The practical part is realized through a quantitative research method - a questionnaire. The main objective was to find out The survey was performed out by using a quantitative research method - a questionnaire. The main objective was to find out final-year pupils' knowledge (number of correct answers) of burnout syndrome in selected high schools in the district Česká Lípa. The results have shown that knowledge differs depending on high schools pupils study in. The best results were achieved by pupils from Gymnázium ČL and the worst results were achieved by pupils from SOŠ and SOU ČL.
