The dissertation deals with mental condition of teachers. Theoretical part of the dissertation aims to define basic terms related to the main topic, delimit terms to mental condition of the teachers and to its revitalization. Special attention is dedicated to burnout syndrome, because teachers are considerably threatened group. Practical part is made by qualitative research. Via semi-structured interviews are investigated causes of teachers´s stress and strategies, which are used to maintaining mental and professional condition.

This diploma thesis deals with the occurrence of the syndrome of burnout in nurses. The main objectives of this work is to determine the incidence of burnout among nurses in selected hospital wards and selected hospitals. In the theoretical part of the thesis is described the profession of nurses, burnout and the possibilities of its prevention. In the practical part I describe the goals, objectives, hypotheses and methodology of my work. Research investigation, implement it through a standardized questionnaire, the Maslach Burnout Inverters, which is designed for the monitoring of the burnout syndrome in the exposed occupations in the hospital in České Budějovice, Písek and Strakonice. The data obtained evaluating the statistical method of chi square test, which I will verify pre-established hypotheses of work. The obtained results are evaluated and interpreted.

The thesis deals with the issue of mental hygiene as a burnout prevention of counselling staff working in counselling for family, marriage and human relations. It is focused on psychologists and social workers. The first part deals with the issues related to the counselling and requirements for counselling staff, as well as the specifics and risks associated with the profession, and the clientele that comes to counselling. Furthermore, the thesis deals with the issues of burnout syndrome and mental hygiene related to the profession of counselling staff. The second part of the diploma thesis is processed in the form of empirical explorative research which aim was to map the issue of mental hygiene as a prevention of burnout syndrome among counselling staff, specifically psychologists and social workers working in the counselling for the family, marriage and human relations. It was found out that the counseling staff perceive as the most burdensome administrative and organizational components of their work and unmotivated or difficult clients. On the contrary they are most enriched with the diversity and variety of client stories, meeting with clients and feeling of their meaningfulness. This master's thesis is concerned with the issue of burnout syndrome. Based on the survey of professional literature, its main aim is to clarify the essence of burnout syndrome and factors leading to its occurence. It focuses on the possibilities of diagnosis, prevention and active approach leading to the elimination of burnout syndrome. The empirical part of the thesis examines how employees in a particular company dealing with fast moving goods production and sale experience burnout syndrome. On the basis of the research findings, main risk factors of burnout syndrome emergence among company's employees were identified and preventive steps leading to the elimination of its occurence.

Psykisk ohälsa hos kvinnor som erfarit intimt partnervåld : i relation till fysisk aktivitet

Syfte och frågeställningar Syftet var att undersöka om psykisk ohälsa var mindre förekommande hos fysiskt aktiva kvinnor som erfarit intimt partnervåld, jämfört med ej fysiskt aktiva kvinnor som erfarit intimt partnervåld. Frågeställningarna var; för grupperna fysiskt aktiva kvinnor och ej fysiskt aktiva kvinnor som erfarit intimt partnervåld skiljde sig (1) grad och symtom av Post traumatiskt stress syndrom (PTSD)? (2) grad och symtom av depression? (3) grad och symtom av stress? Metod Urvalet var 97 kvinnor som erfarit intimt partnervåld. Kvinnojourer kontaktades via mail och stödgrupper för våld i nära relationer kontaktades på Facebook. Data samlades in via en digital anonym enkät som innefattade tre validerade enkäter; PCL-5 för PTSD, MADRS-S för depression och PSS-10 för stress, samt fem egenkonstruerade frågor och två utav Socialstyrelsens indikatorfrågor om fysisk aktivitet. Grupperna fysiskt aktiva och ej fysiskt aktiva analyserades. Graden av PTSD, depression och stress utvärderades ifrån totalpoängen på PCL-5, MADRS-S och PSS-10. Symtomen utvärderades utifrån de enskilda frågorna. Resultat Medelvärdet på PCL-5 för fysiskt aktiva var 39.3, och 44.9 för ej fysiskt aktiva (p=0.14). Medelvärdet på MADRS-S var 20.2 för fysiskt aktiva, och 22.1 för ej fysiskt aktiva (p=0.43). Båda medelvärdena klassades som “hög sannolikhet för egentlig depression om tillståndet varat mer än två veckor” enligt gränsvärden. Medelvärdet för fysiskt aktiva på PSS-10 var 22.1, och 23 för ej fysiskt aktiva (p=0.53). Tre symtom visade signifikanta skillnader mellan grupperna, mindre symtom rapporterades av de fysiskt aktiva kvinnorna. Symtomen för PTSD var; “problem att minnas den stressfulla upplevelsen” (p=<0.02) och “förlust av intresse i aktiviteter som du brukade njuta av” (p=<0.05). För stress var symtomet; “känt att du var oförmögen att kontrollera de viktiga sakerna i ditt liv” (p=<0.05). Slutsats Graden av PTSD, depression och stress skiljde sig inte hos fysiskt aktiva kvinnor som erfarit intimt partnervåld, jämfört med ej fysiskt aktiva kvinnor som erfarit intimt partnervåld. P-värdet var 0.14 på PCL-5, två frågor hade signifikant skillnad och skillnaden mellan medelvärdena var större än MADRS-S och PSS-10. Den psykiska sjukdom som var närmast att påvisa signifikant skillnad var PTSD, där fysiskt aktiva hade lägre medelvärde.

RESUME This diploma is dedicated to stress and burnout syndrom. Objective of this diploma is to find out what is the rate of mental strain concerning burnout syndrom and to map occurence of burnout syndrom for kindergarten teachers. We were interested how burnout syndrom is impacted by professional experience, number of children, place of work, team satisfaction and level of personal satisfaction according to age of teacher. It is focused to teacher's career and to specific stress categories. I have used Maslach Burnout Inventory questionnaire which is standardized for measurement of burnout syndrom and questionnaire dedicated to find out sensitivity against stress. I have used own questionnaire to find out demographic figures. Final result indicates most of teachers are resistant against stress. Burnout syndrom across all three areas was indicated only for one respondent from total number of 100 asked teachers. For 8 teachers burnout syndrom was confirmed in two areas.

Följande undersökning behandlar förskolans uppdrag och samverkan kring barn som upplevt trauma. Syftet är att undersöka hur olika professionsföreträdare för yrken närliggande förskolepersonalens (BVC-sjuksköterskor, socionomer, förskolepsykologer & förskolechefer) upplever förskolans roll i arbetet med barn som drabbats av trauma. Studien fokuserar hur olika professionsföreträdare nära förskolan upplever förskolans uppdrag och vilken relevans deras förväntan har gentemot de styrdokument som förskolan lyder under. Därtill undersöks hur samverkan för att öppna möjligheter för barn som drabbats av trauma, att utvecklas, lära och bidra, ser ut i praktiken. Kvalitativa intervjuer har genomförts med åtta personer. Intervjuer och styrdokument har bearbetats fenomenologiskt så att essensen av det sagda och skrivna tagits fram. Resultatet visar på förväntan på att förskolan tar en aktiv roll i arbetet för barn som upplevt trauma. Förskolans omgivning önskar enligt intervjupersonerna ett mer tillitsfullt samarbete mellan förskolepersonal och vårdnadshavare. Likaså efterlyses ett förebyggande hälsoarbete mellan deltagarnas egna professioner och  förskolepersonal. Ett inslag av misstro mot förskolepersonal blandas med tilltro till förskolan som potentiell arena för positiv samhällsutveckling. Resultatet analyseras först i jämförelse mellan intervjuer och styrdokument. Därvid framkommer att intervjupersonernas förväntan på förskolan är i samklang med styrdokumentens uppdragsbeskrivning. Samverkansupplevelserna analyseras utifrån Danermarks teori för samverkanskvalitet vilket visar på samverkansbrister i styrning, struktur och samsyn enligt intervjupersonernas upplevelser. Ett tänkt barn sätts som fallstudie in i Bronfenbrenners utvecklingsekologiska modell, som belyses med Ungars, Ghazinours och Richters resiliensteori. Då synliggörs hur intervjupersonernas upplevelse av samverkan kring barn som erfarit trauma berör hela barnets utvecklingsekologiska sammanhang. Analysen visar att kvalitativ samverkan är en förutsättning för att barnet ska ta sig ur ett posttraumatiskt stress-syndrom. Det samhälleliga uppdraget för förskola och nätverk blir att ge barnet många användbara verktyg och tillfällen för att ta sig genom kaos till fortsatt utveckling och lärande.

In the theoretical section provides basic information on the Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic, the specifics of their work and are also given information regarding stress, posttraumatic stress disorder , burnout and psychological services to the Fire and Rescue Service of the Czech Republic. This is complemented by the findings of other states. The practical part is focused on the processing and evaluation of a questionnaire survey to map the most important factors of stress and burnout among staff of the Fire Rescue Corps of the Karlovy Vary Region and the Central Region.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine the experience of nurses with burnout syndrome and its prevention. In order to this, I have been examining a number of nurses who have experienced burnout syndrome, the level of intensity they experienced and the nurses' opinion on the prevention of this psychical state. The theoretical part will focus on the nurses' job description and psychological stresses related to their duties. Furthermore I will focus on burnout syndrome - its risk factors, causes, stages and prevention. I will inform as well about daily course and operations at the Intensive Care Unit and the standard inpatient department. The empirical part focuses on comparing the level of burnout syndrome of nurses working in the Intensive Care Unit versus those working in the standard inpatient department. Furthermore I am examining the experience of nurses with the burnout syndrome and its prevention. I will use a questionnaire as the research method.

This diploma thesis deals about the points at issue of the psycho-social strain with people taking care of the person dependant on the care of other physical person in the home background. The problems of family home helps in the natural millieu of an individual dependant on the care are getting more and more actual. The aim of this diploma thesis lies in defining the decisive factors of the psycho-social strain on the persons caring of persons dependant on the assistence of other physical person in the home background. The partial aim is to find out in which areas the persons taking care of persons dependant on the asistence of other physical person in the home background feel the increased strain. Another partial aim is to find out whether the persons taking care of persons dependant on the assistence of other physical person in the home background know and apply the principles of mental hygiene. Following the aims of the diploma thesis, there are postulated two research questions. The research question 1: Which kind of stress do the caring persons consider the most relevant in their job? The research question 2: Which possible symptoms of burnt-out effect do the caring persons observe on themselves? The practical part of the diploma thesis is worked out in the form of qualitative research. The method of inquiry and the technique of semi-structuralized interview were used for the purposes of the research. Furthermore, the technique of observation was applied. The research was implemented with the Inventory of symptoms of burnt-out effect adapted for the purpose of this research. The selected file is formed of eight persons taking care of persons dependant on the assistence of other physical person in the home background who complied with the pre-set criteria; the method of so-called "snowball" was chosen. The gained data were evaluated by the method of open coding. The research pointed out the facts and risks that the realization of the care of a person dependant on the care of other physical person in the home background is carrying out. The research pointed out the areas in which these persons feel the increased strain. The area of physical exertion in caring, the consciousness of responsibility in connection with caring, the area of communication and understanding a person dependant on the care and facing up to the fate and watching helplessness are demanding the most for the caring persons. It was found out from the evidences that caring persons consider this activity stressful; they feel both acute and chronical stress during the execution of the care, they feel it in connection with the lack of time and with the responsibility, in connection with the fears of future, but also in connection with not coping with the past. Family and friends, that provide both psychical support and assistence in the realization of the care, help most the persons caring of persons dependant on the care to deal with the demands of this care. As well as solitude and rest, sport activities and culture help them. In connection with caring the engaged persons have the feeling of doing a good thing, but also the feelings of sorrow, doubts and despairs. Those caring persons who perceive the risky factor of burnt-out effect can observe its symptoms on the emotional, rational, physical and social level on themselves. This thesis can contribute to understanding the importance of work of caring persons in the home background. It will deliver the information about the relevant factors of psycho-social strain on the persons taking care of persons dependant on the assistence of other physical person in the home background. Moreover, it can contribute to the eventual development of services corresponding to the needs of the persons taking care of persons dependant on the assistence of other physical person in the home background.
