Para tanto, nos apoiamos no materialismo histórico dialético, com o intuito de desvelar os processos socioespaciais que ora ocorrem na área de estudo. O estado de Pernambuco figura entre as maiores economias da região nordeste quando tratamos de desenvolvimento regional, este impulso é motivado em grande parte, pelos investimentos públicos e privados realizados no porto de Suape, que iniciou sua operacionalização em abril de 1984, e hoje possui um dos maiores complexos industriais e portuários do país. O interesse pelo tema surgiu em virtude da constatação da importância que o Complexo Industrial e Portuário de Suape (CIPS) tem para o crescimento socioeconômico no estado de Pernambuco, onde o território estratégico de Suape se transformou em uma região com grandes potenciais de geração de emprego e desenvolvimento, o que impulsiona uma nova dinâmica socioespacial e fortes transformações no território, modificações nem sempre harmoniosas na relação porto e cidade. Dessa forma, chamamos a atenção para as externalidades advindas da dinâmica socioespacial e do processo de territorialização do Complexo Industrial e Portuário de Suape - PE. Assim, os procedimentos metodológicos desenvolvidos primaram pela pesquisa bibliográfica, documental e de campo. Na pesquisa bibliográfica realizamos uma reflexão teórica acerca das questões territoriais, e do processo de globalização e como isso impulsionou o desenvolvimento das cidades portuárias. / This study has the general objective to understand the socio-spatial transformations from the implementation of the Industrial and Port Complex of Suape (CIPS) and its impact on the changes in the territory in the face of new dynamics sociospatial. For this, we rely on historical dialectic materialism, in order to reveal the socio-spatial processes that sometimes occur in the study area. The state of Pernambuco is among the largest economies in the northeast when dealing with regional development, this impulse is motivated largely by private and public investments in the port of Suape, which started its operation in April 1984, and today it has a the largest industrial complex and port of the country. Interest in the subject arose because of the realization of the importance that the Industrial and Port Complex of Suape (CIPS) has for socio-economic growth in the state of Pernambuco, where the strategic territory of Suape has become a region with great potential for employment generation and development, which drives a new socio-spatial dynamics and strong changes in the territory, changes not always harmonious relationship in the harbor and city. Thus, we call attention to the externalities arising from socio-spatial dynamics and Industrial Complex territorialization process and Port of Suape - PE. Thus, the developed methodological procedures were conspicuous by their literature, documentary and field. In the literature we carried out a theoretical reflection about the territorial issues, and the process of globalization and how it spurred the development of port cities.

Objetiva-se verificar se os investimentos recentes no CIPS ocorrem de forma articulada de modo a promover a integração inter setorial da economia local e/ou no sentido de integrá-la aos circuitos de valorização de capitais extra-locais, nacionais e internacionais. A hipótese que se demonstrará é que tais investimentos não ocorrem de formar a aumentar a integração da estrutura produtiva pernambucana, mas obedecem a outras determinações impostas pelo atual padrão de acumulação capitalista / Abstract: The state of Pernambuco is going through a dynamic economic and territorial restructure period, among others, the construction and consolidation of a dedicated logistics infrastructure for external market ¿ special highlight to the port of Suape and its strategy to become an international hub port; by structuring ventures backed by the federal government ¿ especially the Abreu e Lima refinery ¿ RNEST, the Petrochemical Suape ¿ PQS, and the South Atlantic Shipyard ¿ EAS, all in the Industrial and Port Complex of Suape - CIPS; and private investments attracted by tax incentives for the same region. The purpose is to verify whether recent investments in CIPS occurs in an articulated manner to promote economic and territorial restructure to strength the integration of the local economy and/or to integrate it to the circuits of extra-local capitals.Thus, this study will consider the hypothesis that such investments do not pccur in an articulated manner to integrate productive structure of Pernambuco, but follow other determinations imposed by the new pattern of capitalist accumulation / Mestrado / Desenvolvimento Economico, Espaço e Meio Ambiente / Mestra em Desenvolvimento Econômico
