Analise de problemas de anisotropia 3D com sub regiões utilizando o metodo dos elementos de contorno / 3D anisotropic problems analysis with sub regions using the boundary element method

Cravo, Anderson Gabriel Santiago 12 August 2018 (has links)
Orientador: Paulo Sollero / Dissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Faculdade de Engenharia Mecanica / Made available in DSpace on 2018-08-12T03:46:01Z (GMT). / Abstract: This work presents a tool for sub-domains analysis using the 3D Boundary Element Method (BEM3D). For its implementation are considered rectangular, quadratic and continuous elements, which means that the nodes share degrees of freedom and so, a proper formulation to deal with corners and edges between the sub regions is required. The matrices [H] and [G] are computed independent of the sub regions program. This makes possible an efficient computational treatment, since the actual computers have more than on processor, and parallel computing is used. Also presents the implementation and the study of the fundamental solution for anisotropic elasticity using the Radon Transform. This formulation is especially attractive due to its simplicity for computational implementations, but it requires a numerical integration in the kernel and then, some strategies are proposed to improve the computational performance.

Erlandsen Lorca, Matthias 13 October 2017 (has links)
This exploratory quantitative research investigated in the field of para-diplomacy, from the Theory of Social Constructivism, the phenomenon of the New Public Diplomacy, and in particular the use of social media platforms in the foreign policy of the States. This work investigated how the sub-national actors of Quebec and Catalonia use Twitter for the international promotion of their independence cause and/or their nation branding. Two periods of the year 2013 were analyzed using the software Brandwatch to obtain the samples. The methodology was based in different aspects addressed by Landman (2008), Hernández Sampieri (2014), and Dahnke (1986) for the research design, while the content analysis technique was designed under Abela’s (2001), Krippendorff’s (2004), and Neuendorf’s (2002) ideas. In conclusion, data shows that Quebec makes proportionally more messages related to Nation Branding while Catalonia prioritizes the promotion of its para-diplomacy.

The limitations of imagining peace : the relative success and failure of international organisations and the Georgian-Abkhaz and Moldovan-Transnistrian conflicts, 1992-2013

Lutterjohann, Nina January 2017 (has links)
This thesis comparatively analyses dilemmas arising from the unresolved Georgian-Abkhazian and Moldovan-Transnistrian conflicts. The many existing differences in the nature and dynamics of each conflict point to a sui generis situation, yet, many similarities also exist, including Soviet era legacies. The research premise is based on very considerable resourcing being dedicated to the resolution of these conflicts since their inception, yet no significant conflict transformation (Abkhazia has Russian recognition) has occurred, let alone peace. Given the mandate from the OSCE, EU and UN, the purpose of the thesis is to analyse their involvement. While evidence – local vested interests and strategic interests – illustrates the obvious obstructions, the thesis focuses on the IOs and asks why no tangible successes were achieved. This is done by critically analysing their performance, by assuming that success is often overlooked and by identifying a range of misperceptions. Therefore, by considering conflict transformation and engaging in analysis of many sources, including documents and about five-dozen interviews, the thesis reappraises the ethno-national origins, the geopolitical dimension and the entrenched conflicting party positions in the context of pan-European actors' responses. The analyses of the comparative peace processes illuminate the IOs' own challenges in reaching consensus as well as on the conflicting parties' competing narratives. Answering the question of what to produce first – a political solution to improve societal conditions, or the pursuing exercise of confidence-building measures (CBMs) to settle the status question – is part of the objective. I argue that a typology of success and failure more comprehensively explains IO performance between 1992 and the EU's Vilnius Summit in 2013.

Características regionais e oportunidades locais na formação de mão de obra : análise comparativa de duas sub-regiões do Vale do Paraíba Paulista / Regional and local features opportunities in workforce training: comparative analysis of two sub - parts of the state Paraiba Valley

Rodrigo Paulino Nascimento 26 March 2015 (has links)
In order to form skilled labor to meet regional vocations, and based on the socioeconomic profile of each region, the technical courses have received investments from governments, both federal and state levels. In São Paulo, the Paula Souza Center, through the State Technical Schools (Etecs), provides free professional education, according to the market demands and directed to regional specificities. According to the Technology Support (FAT) Foundation, responsible for the selection processes (Vestibulinhos) of the Technical Schools, enabling that generates more openings and student demand is the Technical Course Directors. Thus, this work aims to identify the relationship between technical training in Administration proposed by Paula Souza Center and the economic potential of the sub-regions 3 and 4 of the metropolitan area the Paraíba Valley and North Coast (RMVLN), and the professional prospects graduates of this professional qualification. The research exploratory and descriptive nature is divided into three steps: The first survey with strategy through electronic research in order to identify the School Units to be analyzed. The criteria were: being located in the subregions 3 and 4 of RMVLN and offer the third module of technical qualification in Business Administration in the second half of 2014. In the second stage the documents of the selected institutions were checked, namely: Political Pedagogical Project , Curriculum Enable Technical Administration and Curriculum Matrix. The results were analyzed qualitatively and guided the semi-structured interviews, which was held with four educational officials and technicians of the three schools in the sample. Finally, with a quantitative approach was used as a questionnaire was applied to 145 students, with return 102. The data obtained in this step were treated by means of frequency analysis and percentage. So the research presents the following conclusions: the contribution of technical courses for regional development is critical because seeks to meet the reality of the local labor market which is constantly evaluated by the analyzed schools. Second, because it meets the expectations of graduates, as research has shown that 98% of them were satisfied with the course. Finally, with the flexibility of the Technical Course curriculum articulated Administration with economic profile of each municipality, it is stated that the School Units direct their formative process, as follows: Sub-Region 3 - Etec Prof. Alfredo Barros dos Santos - Guaratinguetá, for the services sector (in particular military), while the Etec Teacher Mark Uchôas dos Santos Penchel, Cachoeira Paulista, for tourism and trade in the religious segment. And in the subregion 4 - Etec Prof. Joseph Phillips de Castro, Cruise, administrative demands of Industry and commercial segment.
