Use of Electrical Coolant Pumps in Scania’s Cooling System / Användning av elektriska kylvätskepumpar i Scanias kylsystem

Srikanth, Sai Aswin January 2019 (has links)
The automotive industry is currently traversing through the electrification wave. Numerous manufacturers are directing focus to electrify their lineup and reduce emissions. In the frontier of heavy duty diesel trucks, electrification of auxiliary units remains an unexplored potential. An optimized cooling system functioning in sync with a controllable electric coolant pump attempts to reduce parasitic losses and emissions. The cooling flow requirements in challenging conditions may also be fulfilled. Although electric coolant pumps are found increasingly in passenger cars, the implication of independently operating them in a heavy duty diesel truck is an important objective to be explored. The purpose of this project is to generate different cooling system layouts coupled with electrical coolant pumps. The performance of these layouts is compared with the volume flows in a standard cooling system. Refined layouts which fulfill the cooling system requirements are chosen for verification. 1-D Simulation is used to correlate and verify the trends of the test rig data. The results show an adequate gain in the total volume flow across distinct layouts with the electric coolant pumps. However, numerous challenges are required to be overcome.

Reinforcement Learning-Based Test Case Generation with Test Suite Prioritization for Android Application Testing

Khan, Md Khorrom 07 1900 (has links)
This dissertation introduces a hybrid strategy for automated testing of Android applications that combines reinforcement learning and test suite prioritization. These approaches aim to improve the effectiveness of the testing process by employing reinforcement learning algorithms, namely Q-learning and SARSA (State-Action-Reward-State-Action), for automated test case generation. The studies provide compelling evidence that reinforcement learning techniques hold great potential in generating test cases that consistently achieve high code coverage; however, the generated test cases may not always be in the optimal order. In this study, novel test case prioritization methods are developed, leveraging pairwise event interactions coverage, application state coverage, and application activity coverage, so as to optimize the rates of code coverage specifically for SARSA-generated test cases. Additionally, test suite prioritization techniques are introduced based on UI element coverage, test case cost, and test case complexity to further enhance the ordering of SARSA-generated test cases. Empirical investigations demonstrate that applying the proposed test suite prioritization techniques to the test suites generated by the reinforcement learning algorithm SARSA improved the rates of code coverage over original orderings and random orderings of test cases.

Nalini Jr, Hermínio Arias 02 December 1997 (has links) (PDF)

En digital publikations skapandeprocess : Dagens funktioner och framtidsvisioner / The making of a digital publication : The functions of today and the visions of tomorrow

Wibergh, Alexandra January 2014 (has links)
It Is Media Svenska AB i Stockholm. / This project has aimed to produce and design the upcoming edition of the magazine application Scandinavian Architectural Review for the publisher It Is Media Svenska AB in Stockholm. The production has been based on the application’s prior graphic profile and has intended to follow previous appearance and functions without new additions. The entire production has been created using the Adobe InDesign plugin Adobe Digital Publishing Suite. After the production was finished an analysis of the completed application was performed according to a heuristic evaluation, which was based on the twelve design principles of David Benyon in a perspective of human-computer interaction. To support the analytical work an activity diagram was created to get a comprehensive view of the entire disposition of the application. The analysis has resulted in a list of actions and suggestions to improve the application and its usability, which particularly emphasize the need of a clearer design of the interactive elements, an improved system to give the user feedback as well as an increased consistency and flexibility.

NEXT GENERATION MOBILE TELEMETRY SYSTEM

Padilla, Frank Jr 10 1900 (has links)
International Telemetering Conference Proceedings / October 28-31, 1996 / Town and Country Hotel and Convention Center, San Diego, California / White Sands Missile Range (WSMR) is developing a new transportable telemetry system that consolidates various telemetry data collection functions currently being performed by separate instrumentation. The new system will provide higher data rate handling capability, reduced labor requirements, and more efficient operations support which will result in a reduction of mission support costs. Seven new systems are planned for procurement through Requirements Contracts. They will replace current mobile systems which are over 25 years old on a one-on-one basis. Regulation allows for a sixty-five percent overage on the contract and WSMR plans to make this contract available for use by other Major Range Test Facility Bases (MRTFBs). Separate line items in the contracts make it possible to vary the design to meet a specific system configuration. This paper describes both current and replacement mobile telemetry system

Melançon, Catherine 12 1900 (has links)
The present thesis aims to understand how audience and critical reception of politically and socially engaged art exhibitions articulates itself in the museum context in Quebec. In order to do so, two case studies will be examined: Art et féminisme (1982) and Pour la suite du Monde (1992). Within the scope of this thesis, a thorough study will be facilitated by selecting exhibitions which took place in a single institution, the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal. Before directly addressing reception and in order to better define the artistic and theoretical context of the 1980’s and 1990’s, the first chapter will be dedicated to the different theories and practices regarding exhibitions as they were developed in that period. As such, the work of exhibition practitioners and theorists Jérôme Glicenstein, Mieke Bal, Yves Michaud, Nathalie Heinich and Michel Pollak, as well as Daniel Buren, will be summarised. The second and third chapters will exclusively address the Art et féminisme and Pour la suite du Monde exhibitions. While their reception will be examined, the specific conceptual and socio-historical context in which they were deployed will be detailed. The aim of this exercise is to fully comprehend the way in which an exhibition enunciates its subject matter when the latter is closely linked to its political, cultural and institutional reality.
