Acceptans av mobil förstärkt verklighet (MAR) inom möbelbranschen

Zhang, Stefan, Quainoo, Belinda January 2019 (has links)
This study investigates how users will accept and use a Mobile augmented reality app in the furniture industry based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) model. This contributes to the limited research on MAR in the furniture industry. The survey is done with the IKEA Place app in a controlled case study where users are observed and interviewed. The research strategy has been to gather qualitative data to gain an understanding of how and why, instead of quantitative data that is standard in studies with TAM. The study has resulted in a knowledge contribution in the form of new empirical material in the field of the research world. And suggestions for improvements or factors to take into consideration when implementing MAR in the furniture industry for active businesses. It has also resulted in one for its purpose, broader understanding of how and why users accept MAR in the trade of furnishing goods.

Social media acceptance in B2B marketing : A study exploring the reasons behind the difference in social media usage between B2B and B2C markets

Johansson, Sofie, Eck, Johanna January 2020 (has links)
Social media is a fast growing platform when it comes to marketing. It is, however, used to a greater extent by business-to-consumer (B2C) companies than by business-to-business (B2B) companies. Because of this there has been considerably less research done concerning marketing on social media for B2B, compared to B2C.  This study explores why social media marketing is less common in B2B than B2C. This was done by conducting eleven one-on-one interviews with people who work at different B2B companies, and who have influence over their respective company’s marketing process. To analyse and evaluate the findings of this study the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) was used. By identifying the external variables that deter B2B companies from using social media the perceived usefulness and ease of use were analysed in order to explore what affects the difference in social media acceptance for marketing between B2B and B2C companies.  The findings of this study show that the perceived ease of use is the dominant factor that deters B2B companies from using social media for marketing purposes. This is however not the reason for the difference between B2B and B2C. The difference can instead be explained by a more negative perception of the usefulness of marketing on social media. This negative perception is a result of the characteristics of social media, the industry the company is operating within, as well as the company’s products and customers.

An Examination of Physician Resistance Related to Electronic Medical Records Adoption

Duncan, Terrence 01 January 2015 (has links)
The 2009 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, signed under the Obama administration, mandated physicians to complete certification for electronic medical records (EMRs). Despite these mandates and the increased access to information technology, slow adoption rates persist on the use of EMRs. Guided by the theory of planned behavior and the technology acceptance model, the purpose of this quantitative study was to examine the relationship between the independent variables perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, perceived behavioral control, perceived social influence, attitudes toward EMR, and the dependent variable user acceptance. This study identified physicians in the United States as end-users of EMRs. In this study, 76 randomly selected physicians in the United States, identified as end-users of EMRs, completed an electronic survey requiring responses to a 5-point Likert Scale model. Standard multiple regression analysis served as the means used to analyze the regression model. Despite the regression model being statistically significant, none of the individual independent variables had statistical significance in predicting user acceptance. Interdependence and homoscedasticity likely contributed to this phenomenon. Social change implications include understanding of physician perceptions and beliefs--how physician perceptions and beliefs affect EMR adoption. Because adoption rates did not achieve 100% certification by end-users, another social change implication includes the necessity of examining how end-user acceptance could decrease medical errors, increase efficiencies in physician workload, and improve communication within the health care industry.

Understanding intention to use telerehabilitation : applicability of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM)

Almojaibel, Abdullah 09 November 2017 (has links)
Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) / Background: Pulmonary rehabilitation (PR) has the potential to reduce the symptoms and complications of respiratory diseases through an interdisciplinary approach. Providing PR services to the increasing number of patients with chronic respiratory diseases challenges the current health care systems because of the shortages in health care practitioners and PR programs. Using telerehabilitation may improve patients’ participation and compliance with PR programs. The purpose of this study was to examine the applicability of the technology acceptance model (TAM) to explain telerehabilitation acceptance and to determine the demographic variables that can influence acceptance. Methods: A cross-sectional survey-based design was utilized in the data collection. The survey scales were based on the TAM. The first group of participants consisted of health care practitioners working in PR programs. The second group of participants included patients attending traditional PR programs. The data collection process started in January 2017 and lasted until May 2017. Results: A total of 222 health care practitioners and 134 patients completed the survey. The results showed that 79% of the health care practitioners and 61.2% of the patients reported positive intention to use telerehabilitation. Regression analyses showed that the TAM was good at predicting telerehabilitation acceptance. Perceived usefulness was a significant predictor of the positive intentions to use telerehabilitation for health care providers (OR: 17.81, p < .01) and for the patients (OR: 6.46, p = .04). The logistic regression outcomes showed that age, experience in rehabilitation, and type of PR increased the power of the TAM to predict the intention to use telerehabilitation among health care practitioners. Age, duration of the disease, and distance from the PR center increased the power of the TAM to predict the intention to use telerehabilitation among patients. Conclusion: This is the first study to develop and validate a psychometric instrument to measure telerehabilitation acceptance among health care practitioners and patients in PR programs. The outcomes of this study will help in understanding the telerehabilitation acceptance. It will help not only to predict future adoption but also to develop appropriate solutions to address the barriers of using telerehabilitation.

Precision Livestock Farming : A study on ease of use and usefulness / Precision Livestock Farming : En studie på användarvänlighet och användbarhet

Behnam, Jalal, Boujrad, Ayoub January 2019 (has links)
Livestock farms have recently experienced a significant growth in their size and this is due to the increase in animal products. This has a technical impact on farmers' daily activities. As there are more animals, it becomes more difficult for the farmers to monitor, take care of and ensure the animals are treated in a healthy manner. The purpose of this study is to examine how farmers are affected by the use of the Precision Livestock Farming (PLF) systems and how they have come to accept the technology. The study will take up an important aspect of the impact and effect of PLF. The aim of the study is to find out how farmers are affected by PLF systems in regard to Ease of Use (EOU) and Usefulness. A total of five semi-structured interviews consisting of two researchers, one product advisor, one support worker and one farmer were conducted. An observation was also conducted along with the farmer and support worker. During the interviews, the participants answered our questions regarding PLF and its EOU and Usefulness. The data was analyzed using a thematic analysis and the results showed that PLF systems are important and useful but need further EOU development. Furthermore, the results showed that the poorly designed user interfaces impact the farmers’ attitude and intention towards using the system, which also affects their attitude towards the Usefulness of the PLF systems. The research confirms the importance of including farmers under the development phase of PLF systems. Lastly, this research might be the foundation for further research on how to improve and develop a more user-friendly PLF system.

Evaluating Predictive AI for Taxi Fleet Positioning Management

Blume, Pontus January 2023 (has links)
Predictive AI has huge potential to increase efficiency in taxi networks, improving incomes of drivers and passengers’ time, by calculating passenger demands and making the informationaccessible to drivers. However, to gain these benefits, drivers must accept the technology, and designers must understand how their perceptions govern acceptance. This study evaluates predictive AI applied to taxi fleet management from a user acceptance perspective, in the context of a proposed extended technology acceptance model, with added user experience constructs.Process modelling of a taxi organisation was performed to see how the algorithm fit into that context, and an app was designed to give taxi drivers access to its output. After a period, semistructured interviews were conducted, and thematic analysis was performed to identify what factors were important for their acceptance. The study found that visual design, interactivity, complexity, compatibility, utility, inclusivity, norms, presentation, and trustworthiness were factors that needed to be addressed by designers for successful implementation of predictive AI in the context of taxi fleet management.

AI:s upplevda möjligheter och utmaningar : Ekonomernas perspektiv på AI och dess inverkan på yrkesrollen

Almalla, Mohammad Tarek, Eassa, Iyad January 2023 (has links)
Artificial intelligence (AI) has entered the accounting sector, raising both hope and fear among economists worldwide. It is a revolution that challenges our understanding of the workplace and forces us to ask questions about our own role in this new reality. Economists face a development that is filled with various opportunities and obstacles as AI takes over routine tasks and leaves room for creativity and strategic thinking. The idea of being freed from repetitive tasks is enticing, but what opportunities and challenges do economists experience in connection with the introduction of AI? This study highlights the economists' perspectives and experiences when they encounter AI in their work tasks. By examining economists' acceptance of AI and their experiences of working with the technology, the study gains insight into the complex dynamics between man and machine. We delve into the theory and explore the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) as a guide to understanding how economists accept or reject AI. Through qualitative interviews with eight economists, we take part in their thoughts and reflections. We review previous research and analyze the results along with economists responses to discover patterns and insights. The results show that the economists' perceived benefits regarding AI's implementation are more at the individual level rather than the organizational level, i.e. AI primarily benefits the economists themselves rather than the entire organization. While perceived disadvantages are at both the individual and organizational level, which means that the disadvantages of AI affect both individual economists and the organization. The uncertainty is based on a lack of knowledge, but filling the knowledge gap can facilitate acceptance and ensure success in this revolutionary age.

The Effect Of Social Presence On Teacher Technology Acceptance, Continuance Intention, And Performance In An Online Teacher Professional Development Course

Smith, Jo 01 January 2006 (has links)
The purpose of this study was to determine if the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) could explain the relationship between teacher's acceptance of an online teacher professional development course and their continuance intentions regarding online teacher professional development (oTPD). This study focused on the perceptions of the teachers as opposed to the design or implementation of oTPD. The participants (N=517) were mostly teachers (88.8%) enrolled in a statewide online course to provide classroom teachers with the latest knowledge of research-based instructional reading strategies. The course was offered over a 10-14 week period during the Spring 2006 semester through a public state university. Structural equation modeling was used to create a path analytic model extending the TAM to include two additional constructs: sociability and social presence. In addition, gains in instructional reading strategies knowledge (performance) were examined. Using this expanded version of the TAM, the study examined the causal relationships between sociability, social presence, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, continuance intention, and gains. Online distance education research has indicated that social presence can influence post-secondary students' attitude and persistence within a web-based course. However a paucity of research exists on how technology acceptance and social presence impacts teachers within an online teacher professional development setting. Path analysis, univariate analysis of variance, and independent t-tests in SPSS v12.0 for Windows were used to analyze the data. The results suggest that the hypothesized extended model was a good fit. The model did indicate that both perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness were determinants of teachers' intent to continue using oTPD for future professional development needs.
