Financování dopravní obslužnosti / Financing of transport services

KUČEROVÁ, Petra January 2017 (has links)
This thesis is occupying with transport services and it's financing. Main goal is appraisal of financial resources for transport services in South Bohemia region. At the beginning, work charakterize transport. It's talking about what role is transport playing in national economy, what is it's meaning and how it's influencing society. Road Management System and Road Safety in Uganda

Zanule, Paul Gudoi 01 January 2015 (has links)
Traffic collisions cost Uganda millions of dollars each year. The purpose of this descriptive case study was to describe the strategies and processes needed to implement a road management system. Such a system would significantly reduce the fatalities and accidents in Uganda, improve the transportation within Kampala's business district, and increase business profitability. Three conceptual theories framed the research study: management theory, strategic management theory, and criminology theory. Using a snowball sampling strategy, data were collected from open-ended interviews, questionnaires, observations, and archived documents from 20 administrative participants in the government and organizational leaders involved in the transport operations and transport services in the Kampala business district in Uganda. Data were analyzed using 3 phases: (a) interpretational analysis, coding, and grouping segments; (b) structural analysis, consistency, and quality; and (c) reflective analysis, consequences, what, when, where, and how. Five themes or action requirements emerged from the data analysis: to improve transport operations and transport services profitability, reduce traffic jams and fatalities, provide sufficient driving training, maintain road infrastructure, and maintain traffic law enforcement. The findings and recommendations from this study may improve the profitability of businesses, reduce the traffic jams and fatalities, and improve the gross domestic product of Uganda, thereby contributing to positive social change.

A Novel Dataset for the Transport Sector in a Province of Peru

Guerrero, Miguel Arango, Juárez, Pedro Shiguihara 01 January 2021 (has links)
El texto completo de este trabajo no está disponible en el Repositorio Académico UPC por restricciones de la casa editorial donde ha sido publicado. / Problems related to public transport and private transport in Peru are persistent. New proposals to solve them arise, currently the world of data analysis is starting in Peru, there are not many open datasets useful that allow proposing solutions in each environment. In this paper, we will collect relevant data of the transport located in a province of Peru with more than 1000 users involved, restricted by a delimited geographic area and with 2 years of operations and more than 3000 transport services tracked. In this way, we highlight the importance of the data, the possible potential uses within the transport, and a case of use of the collected dataset. / Revisión por pares

Improving the Adaptability of the End-host : Service-aware Network Stack Tuning

Rabitsch, Alexander January 2023 (has links)
The Internet of today is very different from how it used to be. Modern networked applications are becoming increasingly diverse. Consequently, a variety of requirements must be met by the network. Efforts to make the underlying mechanisms of the Internet more flexible have therefore been made to adapt to this diversification. In this thesis, we explore how information about application requirements can be leveraged to optimize the network protocol stack of end-hosts during run-time. In addition, we improve the visibility of the network to the end-host in order to enable additional flexibility in the usage of the network's resources. We conduct tests in real-world testbeds and examine how services might be developed to optimize latency, throughput, and availability for various network traffic scenarios, including 360-degree video streaming, drone autopilots, and connected vehicles. We show how multi-connectivity, where the end-host is connected via multiple network paths simultaneously, may be used to significantly reduce latency and increase availability, while minimizing the overhead imposed on the network by carefully considering the network selection process. Furthermore, we describe an architecture that allows the user equipment and network functionality inside the 5G core network to cooperatively optimize the resource usage of the network. / The Internet of today is very different from how it used to be. Modern networked applications are becoming increasingly diverse. Consequently, a variety of requirements must be met by the network. This presents a massive challenge, since the Internet was originally designed on best-effort principle.  To address this challenge, we explore how Internet end-hosts can flexibly adapt to the needs of individual applications, by dynamically configuring the network protocol stack during run-time. In addition, we improve the visibility of the network, allowing end-hosts to better utilize the resources of the network.  We conduct tests in real-world testbeds and examine how services might be developed to optimize latency, throughput, and availability for various network traffic scenarios. Poptávková autobusová doprava v podmínkách České republiky / Demand responsive transport in the Czech Republic

Škripko, Jindřich January 2017 (has links)
This Master´s thesis deals with demand responsive transport that covers various forms of transport services that are characterised by realization of the bus ride only if there is demand. The thesis is practically focused. The purpose of the thesis is to check the suitability of setting a demand responsive transport system in the Králíky region from the transport and economic point of view. The analytical part describes existing demand responsive transport systems in the Czech Republic and in Europe and their compliance with the Czech legislation. The practical part applies this knowledge on design of a concept of demand responsive transport in Králíky region including the operational cost calculation.

Анализ данных из системы RetailBud и оптимизации транспортного обслуживания : магистерская диссертация / Analysis of data from the RetailBud system and optimization of transport services

Гужов, И. М., Guzhov, I. M. January 2020 (has links)
This topic is relevant because public transport is poorly developed in small and medium-sized cities of Russia and needs to be improved. Now the transport enterprises of small towns do not have a clear structured system for servicing passenger traffic and, against their background, the transport sector, as one of the most important subjects of the country's economy, is poorly developed. Practical significance: - Described the work of the RetailBud system and its benefits for all transport companies in the country and the world. - On the example of route No. 14 of the city of Kamensk-Uralsky, the calculation of the profit of a transport company is shown.

Veřejná správa železniční dopravy, změny v právní úpravě / Public administration in railway transport - changes in legislation

Jáč, Jakub January 2014 (has links)
The law of railway transportation is a phenomenon affecting several other law branches in particular European Law, Commercial Law and Administrative Law. This thesis focuses on the last mentioned branch, i.e. Administrative Law. This thesis does not cover this issue comprehensively; however, it gives fundamental and comprehensive views on the issue. In addition to information on current legal situation and its background it provides information about the history of law of railway transportation and includes the topic of public transport services. In last twenty years the initiator of changes in law of railway transportation is mainly the European Union, which gradually liberalizes the railway transportation. Both national legislation and public services reflect and adapt to these changes. After summarising the history of law railway transportation this thesis gives overview on the important European legislation which determines national legislation in the Czech Republic. The main part of this thesis is about legislation issues in law of railway transportation in the Czech Republic. It focuses on the organisation of public administration according to the Railway Act and the jurisdiction of the Rail Administrative Authority including some aspects of the administrative proceedings there. It mentions...
