Shakespeare na Itália

Camilotti, Camila Paula January 2014 (has links)
Tese (doutorado) - Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Centro de Comunicação e Expressão, Programa de Pós-Graduação em Estudos da Tradução, Florianópolis, 2014. / Made available in DSpace on 2015-02-05T20:33:14Z (GMT).
/ Abstract : This research aims at analysing the creative and artistic process of the Italian diretor Giorgio Strehler in the production and direction of two Shakespearian playtexts: King Lear and The tempest. The Italian productions -- entitled Re Lear and La Tempesta -- were staged, respectively, in 1972 and in 1978, at Piccolo Teatro di Milano, Italy, and were important to the Italian society of the time. Thus, in the analysis of the productions, I attempted to explore, based on concepts of Intersemiotic Translation, the most revealing and/or relevant passages to the Italian socio-political context of the time that influenced, in a way or another, the Shakespearian tradition in Italian dramaturgy. The analyses have shown that Strehler attempted to highlight -- in both productions -- the metatheatricality that exists in these Shakespearian playtexts and, from this perspective, encourage a reflection upon theater and its social, political, historical, and civic functions in a certain society, time, and space.

Kremer, Karen January 2012 (has links)
/ Abstract : This dissertation proposes a descriptive analysis of two translations into Portuguese of the theatrical text Vestire gli ignudi, of Luigi Pirandello. The first translation analyzed is Ruggero Jacobbi#s, from 1958, published in 1966. The second one is Millôr Fernandes#s, published in 2007. The translations analyzed are considered original works and are not seen isolated, but placed in a historical, linguistic, literary and theatrical context. This way they are analyzed, within the polysystems theory and the descriptive studies of translation. To perform the analysis, the author created a numbering method specific for dramaturgy, which proved to be efficient and practical. The methodology used for descriptive analysis was mainly based on contextual and descriptive model from Joseph Lambert, assisted by the polysystems theory of Even-Zohar and by the series of Pavis concretizations. Following the precepts of Lambert, the study started from preliminary data, where it is noticed that both Millor Fernandes and Ruggero Jacobbi belonged to the center of their systems. Then, the macrostructure was analyzed, from where assumptions for microstructure analysis emerged. The tables with macrostructure and microstructure occurrence are given in the appendix. The text of the analysis was developed from those tables, but not everything from the appendix is in the text, being the reading recommended. Both translations analyzed are enjoyable reads and capable of staging. Overall, Millôr Fernandes presents a more direct text, clear and with a trend of domestication, bringing the text closer to the culture of arrival, however, sometimes uses additions or foreignization. We believe that it is not possible to fit it in a rigid translational strategy, it seems quite flexible, making specific choices within the dynamic. Ruggero Jacobbi, in turn, presents more additions, usually literary, separating the text from the purpose of staging and pleasing the readership. It also presents a foreignization tendency with foreign terms or unusual terms in Brazil today, and a tendency to reduce ambiguities in the text. In addition, there was an unconfirmed hypothesis that the translation has been made from a French translation, this fact would explain the use of terms in French, additions, and larger semantic distance in relation to T0.

COMUNITA' ESTETICHE E COMUNITA' ETICHE IL TEATRO DI GRUPPO IN ITALIA IL CASO DEL TEATRO DEL MAGOPOVERO (1971-1989) / Aesthetic Communities and Ethical Communities. Italian Teatro del Magopovero (1971-1989) Case History

GENTILE, FRANCESCA 14 March 2008 (has links)
The research goes trough the Italian scene in - between the 70's and the 80's, in particular it focuses on the group's theatre: teams who experimented deeply a community action with a theatre instrument. The study takes as example the “Teatro del Magopovero”, now “Casa degli Alfieri”, one of the most interesting theatre groups of Piedmont, as a significant occurrence of the artistic and social phenomena of the theatre of the last century which aims to the ensemble . This group was founded in the 70's as a community-based theatre: it's an interesting instance of group /team working and social action. The evolution of the team building of this group shows the changes in the Italian history and stresses out how the strong ethic goal of this groups has been able to change in a aesthetic element, keeping high attention to the cultural and social network with the community in their performances.

Les langues du théâtre italien contemporain / Le lingue del teatro italiano contemporaneo / The languages of contemporary italian theater

Cornez, Élodie 14 March 2015 (has links)
This doctoral dissertation deals with the use of dialectal languages in the contemporary Italian theater. Indeed, these languages remain an important source of inspiration in the most innovating creations of the last thirty years, in spite of the paramount place the Italian language has come to have in the whole national territory since the Italian Unification. This study deals with the values and with what is at stake in these dialectal languages in today's theater which is, most of the time, created by actors-authors: therefore, the relationship between the artist, who is both creator and performer, and dramatic language, relies on a way of tackling the linguistic element that is fundamentally precognitive and corporal as well. After having cleared up the linguistic dynamics in the Italian theater since the Unification ; the study focuses on the work of five contemporary actors-authors: Marco Paolini, Ascanio Celestini, Spiro Scimone (Compagnia Scimone Sframeli), Emma Dante (Compagnia Sud Costa Occidentale) and Enzo Moscato. Studying the work of these artists, as well as a specific play, intends to draw up a cartography of the contemporary Italian theater that is inspired by dialect languages to create its own dramatic language. The study aims to lay emphasis on the convergence lines of creations which deals with three key notions, at the core of the study: time, territory and identity. These three notions will be progressively redefined and precised by working on the idea of limit and boundary.

Nosella, Berilo Luigi Deiró 11 March 2007 (has links)

No. of bitstreams: 1 Berilo Luigi Deiro Nosella.pdf: 517440 bytes, checksum: d451e316214cec8d93a007e898878fb4 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2007-03-11 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / This master degree main objective is the analysis and the study of the dramatical workmanship composition Six Personages in Search of an Author , witch is studied here as Seis Personagens em Busca de um Autor by Luigi Pirandello (1867-1936), staged for the first time in 1921, in Rome / Italy, reaching success in the entire world and deeply influencing the art of the teatral representation of the century XX. The objectives of the research send to analyze the modern elements gifts in the text Six Personages in Search of an Author and to the verification of the specific items on this modern pirandellian text in debate with modernity and contemporality. Basically, here, the analysis if guideline in the reflection on the existence of a tension between tradition and renewal, characteristic of the modernity in general way and specific way of the workmanship of Pirandello. It is treated, therefore, of formal examining the renewal as crisis of the tradition while factor of revelation and denudation as crisis of the modern world that is present like a mean form in the workmanship of Pirandello and in the Modern Drama . The literary analysis of the pirandellian text was based, initially, in the theoretical debate on the question of the literary sorts for the definition of the concept of Modern Drama . For this issue, this thought followed a line that begins with Hegel, goes to Georg Lukács and finishes with Peter Szondi. Advancing in this way, it was turned back to the proper theoretical texts of Pirandello, mainly O Humorismo , wrote in 1903, that involves the modernity of the drama and how it would be articulated, later, in an artistic form. A critical historical pillar helped to support the recital of this work that had as purpose understand and context this workmanship of Pirandello in its time and the present time. It was established, a parallel between two authors: the Italian, contemporary Pirandello, Antonio Gramsci and the german, Walter Benjamin. This debate in allowed in such a way to invest them in the analysis of the tension between form and content, renewing the art of drama of Pirandello culturally (as content) and the respective esthetic way (as form) / Trata, a presente dissertação, da análise e do estudo da obra dramática Seis Personagens em Busca de um Autor, de Luigi Pirandello (1867-1936), encenada pela primeira vez em 1921, em Roma, Itália, alcançando sucesso no mundo todo e influenciando profundamente a dramaturgia do século XX.

Protagonistes, histoires, débats / About "regìa". Theatre direction in Italy : 1893-1943. Protagonists, stories, debates / Intorno alla regia. La regia in Italia : 1893-1943. Protagonisti, storie, dibattiti

Pirisino, Claudio 07 December 2017 (has links)
This doctoral thesis challenges the simplistic doxa in theatre historiography that views genesis of theatre direction in Italy as a late phenomenon in comparison to other countries such as Germany, France, and Russia. This “delay” is thought to be due to the actor’s persistent self-referential tradition. According to the doxa, the Italian theatre system would have been resistant to the introduction of the new role of director, which was perceived as extraneous. This situation would have been caused in Italy by the popularity of wandering companies and the absence of a dominant theatrical focal point such as Paris was in France. The phenomenon of a strictly speaking regìa would have only emerged after the Second World War. This view has led to a series of misinterpretations and misunderstandings that oversimplify the phenomenon of the development of modern direction, favouring a teleological argument of qualitative progress. However, a number of studies carried out from the 2000’s encourage us to consider the direction as a complex aspect of the theatrical art. Concepts such as ‘proto-direction’ (Perrelli, 2005) and continuity/discontinuity (Sarrazac-Consolini, 2010), show the limits of an univocal definition of this art. In light of these studies, the Italian panorama appears as an uncharted territory. A recent study of the European directors’ tours in Italy for the years from the 1911 to 1940, has actually demonstrated the Italian system’s responsiveness (Schino, 2008).My research investigates the origin of the concept of “delay”, and the reasons by which theatre direction in Italy came to be considered by scholars as some sort of grail. I also highlight how direction in Italy emerges from the main source of the supposed delay itself: the actor. Indeed, the appearance of theatre direction is not abrupt; but rather a multifaceted art, which changes according to artists’ modus operandi and is dependent on the characteristics of the theatrical system.
