Foram selecionados 21 terceiros molares recém extraídos e isentos de cárie. A parte da coroa dental correspondente ao esmalte foi removida expondo-se toda superfície dentinária. Os dentes foram divididos aleatoriamente em sete grupos experimentais de acordo com o cimento provisório e o método de limpeza dentinária utilizado: (G1-controle) não recebeu restauração provisória nem limpeza dentinária; (G2) cimentação provisória com Life e limpeza com pasta de pedra-pomes; (G3) cimentação provisória com Life (Kerr) e limpeza com jato abrasivo; (G4) nenhum procedimento de limpeza foi executado após cimentação com Life; (G5) cimentação provisória com Temp Bond e limpeza com pasta de pedra-pomes; (G6) cimentação provisória com Temp Bond (Kerr) e limpeza com jato abrasivo e (G7) nenhum procedimento de limpeza foi executado após cimentação com Temp Bond. Após uma semana de armazenamento em água, restaurações de Solidex (Shofu) foram cimentadas com adesivo Single Bond (3M ESPE) e cimento Rely X ARC (3M ESPE). Todos os produtos foram manipulados de acordo com as instruções do fabricante. Os dentes foram seccionados obtendo-se espécimes de 1,0 mm2 para realização de teste de microtração. Os valores obtidos foram submetidos à análise de variância e teste de Tukey. Os resultados indicaram que o grupo contaminado com hidróxido de cálcio sem realização da limpeza dentinária apresentou os menores valores de resistência e foi estatisticamente diferente do grupo onde não houve contaminação. Qualquer dos cimentos e métodos de limpeza utilizados obteve as maiores médias de resistência, porém sem diferenças significativas entre elas. / Abstract: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of provisional cements and dentin cleaning methods on the adhesion of resin bonded indirect restorations. Flat dentin surfaces were produced cutting extracted human molars. The teeth were divided randomly in seven experimental groups according with the provisional cement and the used dentin cleaning method: (G1- control) no provisional restoration and no dentin cleaning; (G2) pumice-water slurry cleaning after cementation with Life (Kerr); (G3) aluminum oxide sandblasting after cementation with Life; (G4) no cleaning procedure after Life cementation; (G5) pumice-water slurry cleaning after cementation with Temp Bond (Kerr); (G6) aluminum oxide sandblasting after cementation with Temp Bond and (G7) no cleaning procedure after Temp Bond cementation. After one week of storing in water, Solidex indirect restorations (Shofu) were cemented with Single Bond adhesive system (3M ESPE) and Rely X ARC cement (3M ESPE). All products were handled according with manufacturer's instructions. The teeth were sectioned resulting in adhesion area of 1,0 mm2 specimens for microtencile tests. The resulted values were submitted to variance analysis and Tukey's test. These values indicated the group which was contaminated with calcium hydroxide cement and had no dentin cleaning presented the lowest bond strength and was statistically different from the group with no contamination. Any of the used cements and cleaning methods got the highest means of bond strength, but with no relevant differences among them. With these results can be concluded that, after the treatment with provisional cements, the absence of dentin cleaning implies in lower bond strength values. / Doutor

Soldagem em laminas finas de hastelloy c-276 por laser pulsado Nd:YAG /Munekata, Ricardo Mitsuo. January 2011 (has links)
Resumo: O presente trabalho estudou a influência da energia do pulso de soldagem, no caso processo laser de Nd:YAG operando no modo pulsado, na soldagem de duas lâminas finas com 100 μm de Hastelloy C-276, utilizado no revestimento de sensores que trabalham em ambiente corrosivo da indústria sucroalcooleira, química petroquímica e alimentícia. Utilizou-se energia de pulso de 1,0 Joule a 2,25 Joules, com incremento de 0,25 Joules com a velocidade de soldagem de (ν) taxa de repetição (Rr) fixas de 525mm/min e 39Hz respectivamente e largura temporal de 4 ms. As soldas foram realizadas com proteção gasosa de argônio. Foram realizadas análises macrográficas e micrográficas das juntas soldadas, através de secções transversais das mesmas e ensaios de microdureza Vickers e ensaio de tração. Os resultados obtidos mostraram que o controle da energia do pulso, em processo de soldagem por laser de lâminas finas é de fundamental importância para a geração de juntas soldadas livres de descontinuidades. Os parâmetros geométricos da junta soldada, tais como largura do cordão, largura de união e profundidade do cordão, aumentaram em função do aumento da energia do pulso. O processo mostrou-se muito sensível à formação de porosidade e à presença de gap entre as lâminas / Abstract: This work measured experimental investigations were carried out using a pulsed neodymium: yttrium aluminum garnet laser welding to examine the influence of the pulse energy in two thin foil welding with 100 μm thickness, employed to cover sensors that work in corrosive environment of the sugar and alcohol industry,chemical petrochemistry and nourishing. The pulse energy was varied from 1,0 to 2,25 J at an increment of 0.25 J and an increment of 0.25 Joules with a welding speed and(ν) repetition rate (Rr) fixed 525mm/min and 39Hz respectively and 4 ms pulse duration. The specimens were laser-welded in an argon atmosphere. The welds were analyzed by macroscopic and microscopic observations using optical microscopy and micro hardness and tensile test. The results indicated that pulse energy control, in laser welding of thin foils, is of considerable importance for weld quality since it can generate discontinuities free weld joints. The geometric parameters of the welded joints like bead width, connection width and bead depth increased with the pulse energy increasing. Relations microstructure, propriétés mécaniques et résistance à l'oxydation de la phase MAX Ti3AlC2 / Relationships between microstructure, mechanical properties and oxidation resistance of Ti3AlC2 MAX phaseDrouelle, Elodie 25 September 2017 (has links)
L'allègement des structures est devenu un enjeu majeur pour les industries du transport. Afin de répondre à cette demande, une stratégie de recherche d'élaboration de nouveaux matériaux, présentant des propriétés spécifiques égalant a minima les propriétés des matériaux en service, a été mise en place. C'est dans ce contexte général que s'inscrivent ces travaux sur la phase MAX Ti3AlC2. La tenue à l'oxydation et les propriétés en traction et en fluage traction à haute température (800-1000°C) ont été évaluées pour des échantillons élaborés au cours de cette étude par métallurgie des poudres (frittage naturel + frittage flash). Les différents essais menés en oxydation ont montré l'existence de deux comportements (oxydation passivante ou catastrophique suivant la nature des oxydes formés) majoritairement contrôlés par les caractéristiques microstructurales des échantillons (taille de grains, nature des éléments en site A, rugosité et porosité). Les premiers essais de fluage traction réalisés sur la phase MAX Ti3AlC2 ont souligné la bonne ductilité de ces matériaux. De plus, les propriétés spécifiques sont comparables, voire dépassent, celles de superalliages polycristallins et d'aluminures de titane. Une étude multi-échelle a mis en évidence une déformation se produisant par glissement aux joints de grains à 900 et 1000°C et par mouvement de dislocations à 800°C. Un endommagement de type cavitation accompagné par des phénomènes d'oxydation de fissures en surface des fûts a été mis en lumière. / The lightening of structures has become a major challenge for transport industries. New materials with, at least, equivalent specific properties to currently used materials have been designed in order to cope with this challenge. In this regard, Ti3AlC2 MAX phase has been studied. The high temperature (800-1000°C) oxidation resistance and tension and tensile creep properties were assessed for Ti3AlC2 samples elaborated using a powder metallurgy process (pressureless sintering + spark plasma sintering). The various oxidation tests pointed out two different behaviors (protective oxidation or catastrophic one depending on the grown oxides nature) mainly controlled by samples microstructural features (grains size, elements on A site, roughness and porosity). The first tensile creep tests ever performed on Ti3AlC2 MAX phase indicates the high ductility of these materials whose specific properties reach or surpass those of polycrystalline superalloys and titanium aluminides. A multi-scale study highlights deformation mechanisms occurring through intergranular sliding at 900 and 1000°C and through dislocations glide at 800°C. Damage mechanisms occurring through cavitation supported by crack oxidation phenomena on gauge length surface were also underlined.

The damage observation of composite using non destructive testing (NDT) method / Observation de l'endommagement de materiaux composites par la méthode de controle non destructif (C.N.D)Bale, Jefri Semuel 12 December 2014 (has links)
L'objectif de ce travail de thèse est d'étudier le comportement de l'endommagement des matériaux composites sous chargement statique et fatigue par contrôle non destructif (C.N.D) thermographie et soutenu par émission acoustique et la tomographie (CT scan). Pour cela, ce unidirectionnels composite à fibres de verre (GFRP) et discontinue composite à fibres de carbone (DCFC) ont été utilisés comme les éprouvettes qui ont fourni par PSA peugeot citröen, France. Une série d'essais mécaniques a été réalisée pour déterminer le comportement de l'endommagement sous chargement statique et fatigue. Pendant tout des essais mécanique, la thermographie a été utilisé pour l'observation en temps réel pour suivre l'évolution des températures sur la surface de l'éprouvette et supporté par émission acoustique dans certaines conditions. Cette étude a utilisé une forme rectangulaire et se compose d'éprouvettes trouées et non trouées au centre de l'éprouvette. La vitesse de déplacement constante est appliquée pour observer l'effet sur le comportement de l'endommagement sous chargement de traction statique. Sous les essais de fatigue, le paramètre constant de la fréquence et de l'amplitude de stress a été étudiée pour chaque niveau de charge pour avoir les propriétés de fatigue et l'évolution de l'endommagement de l'éprouvette. La tomographie a été utilisée pour confirmer l'apparition de l'endommagement et l'etat du matériau après l'essai de fatigue. L'analyse des résultats de l'expérimentation et de l'observation NDT montré le bon accord entre les résultats mechnical et NDT thermographie avec prise en charge par l'observation de l'émission acoustique en détecter l'apparition et la propagation de l'endommagement de GFRP PRV et DCFC sous chargement de statique en traction. Les essais en fatigue montrent que la dissipation thermique est liée à l'évolution de l'endommagement et également thermographie et peut être utilisé avec succès pour déterminer la limite d'endurance (HCFS) et la courbe de Wöhler du matériau composite. Les résultats par CT scan ont mesurée avec succès les endommagements et l'état du matériau après essai de fatigue du matériau composite. / The aim of this study is to investigate the damage behaviour of composite material in static and fatigue condition with non destructive testing (NDT) thermography method and supported by acoustic emission and also computed tomography (CT) scan. Thermography and acoustic emission are used in real-time monitoring techniques during the test. On the other hand, NDT observation of tomography is used for a post-failure analysis. In order to achive this, continuous glass fiber composite (GFRP) and discontinuous carbon fiber composite (DCFC) have been used as the test specimens which supplied by PSA Company, France. A series of mechanical testing was carried out to determine the damage behaviour under static and fatigue loading. During all the mechanical testing, thermography was used in real-time observation to follow the temperature change on specimen surface and supported by acoustic emission in certain condition. This study used rectangular shape and consist of specimen with and without circular notches (hole) at the center. The constant displacement rate is applied to observe the effect on damage behaviour under tensile static loading. Under fatigue testing, the constant parameter of frequency and amplitude of stress was explored for each load level to have the fatigue properties and damage evolution of specimen. The tomography was used to confirm the appearance of damage and material condition after fatigue testing. The analysis from the experiment results and NDT observation shown the good agreement between mechnical results and NDT thermography with supported by acoustic emission observation in detect the appearance and propagation of damage for GFRP and DCFC under static loading. Fatigue testing shows that thermal dissipation is related to the damage evolution and also thermography and can be successfully used to determine high cycle fatigue strength (HCFS) and S-N curve of fiber composite material. From post failure analysis, CT scan analysis successfully measured and evaluated damage and material condition after fatigue test for fiber composite material. v

Aderência de revestimentos de argamassa em substrato de concreto : influência da forma de aplicação e composição do chapisco / Mortar rendering bond in concrete substrate: influence of the application form and composition of slurry mortarGasperin, Josiane January 2011 (has links)
Revestimentos de argamassa, embora largamente utilizados, ainda e cada vez mais, geram interesse, tanto por parte do meio acadêmico quanto pelas empresas construtoras. Este fato se deve pela, sempre presente, necessidade de melhoria da tecnologia, visando, principalmente, maior conhecimento dos elementos constituintes do sistema de revestimento e, também, devido ao grande número de manifestações patológicas ocorridas neste tipo de revestimento, em especial o descolamento. Neste contexto, este trabalho teve como objetivo avaliar a influência da camada de preparo da base, o chapisco, quanto a sua forma de aplicação e composição, na resistência de aderência de revestimentos de argamassa aplicados sobre substrato de concreto de baixa porosidade. Para isso, foram moldadas placas de concreto com dimensões de (35x25x5)cm e resistência, aos 28 dias de, aproximadamente, 30MPa, que receberam argamassa de chapisco e posteriormente foram revestidos com argamassa de revestimento. Afim de isolar o efeito do chapisco, nesta pesquisa, o substrato de concreto e a argamassa de revestimento foram mantidos fixos, sendo, então, o chapisco o único elemento variável do sistema. Em relação ao chapisco variou-se sua forma de aplicação (manual e mecanizada), sua composição, onde foi analisada a mudança de granulometria (uma contínua e bem graduada e uma descontínua e mal graduada), a introdução de sílica ativa e de aditivo retentor de água. O substrato de concreto teve cura submersa em água e cal, durante 28 dias, e a argamassa de chapisco e a argamassa de revestimento foram curadas à temperatura de 23±2°C e umidade relativa do ar de 60±10% por 3 e 28 dias, respectivamente. Após 59 dias do início da moldagem, o conjunto “substrato+chapisco+argamassa de revestimento” foi submetido aos ensaios de resistência de aderência à tração e ao cisalhamento. A partir dos resultados obtidos é possível afirmar que quanto a forma de aplicação, a aplicação mecanizada utilizada, de recipiente acoplado, a canequinha, não gerou resultados satisfatórios, uma vez que para as características da argamassa de chapisco utilizada, sendo está de alta relação água/cimento, a aplicação resultou em uma camada desuniforme, mostrando que aplicação manual, mesmo rústica, para chapiscos ainda é a melhor escolha. Quanto a composição do chapisco, os melhores resultados obtidos para a resistência de aderência foram obtidos com chapiscos confeccionados com areia de granulometria contínua e bem graduada. A introdução da sílica no chapisco mostrou uma tendência de melhora para a resistência de aderência à tração e uma melhoria significativa, comprovada por análise estatística, na resistência ao cisalhamento e a introdução de aditivo retentor de água, promoveu uma melhora significativa na resistência de aderência à tração e uma tendência de melhora na resistência de aderência ao cisalhamento. / Although widely used, mortar wall coverings still generate interest by both academia and construction companies. This fact is caused by the ever-present need for improved technology, having as principal objective the more refined knowledge about the constituents of the coating system and also the large number of pathologies occurring in this type of siding, in particular its detachment. In this context, this study had the objective of analizing the influence of the application form and composition of slurry mortar on the bonding strength of coatings applied over concrete substrate. For this, concrete plates of 35x25x5cm were molded, with compressive strength at 28 days of, approximately, 30MPa. After that, the plates were coated with coating mortar and slurry mortar. In order to isolate the effect of slurry mortar in this research, the concrete substrate and mortar coating were kept fixed, and the slurry mortar is the only variable element of the system. It was varied the form of application (manual and mechanized), the composition, where were analyzed the change of sand granulometry (a continuous and well-graded, a discontinuous and bad-graded), the introduction of silica and water retaining additive. The concrete substrate was curing in water and lime for 28 days, and mortar coating and slurry mortar were cured at 23±2°C and relative humidity of 60±10%, for 3 and 28 days, respectively. After 59 days from the start of the molding of concrete plates, the "substrate+slurry mortar+mortar coating" samples were subjected to tests of tensile bond strength and shear. From the results obtained, were is can be said that the mechanized application form used did not generate satisfactory results, possibly due to high water/cement ratio of the slurry mortar used, resulting in an uneven layer, showing that manual application, even rustic, for slurry mortar is still the best choice. For the composition of slurry mortar, the best results for bond strength were obtained with slurry mortars made with well-graded sand with a continuous granulometric. The introduction of silica in the slurry mortar showed a tendency to increase the tensile bond strength and a significant increase, proven by statistical analysis, in shear bond strength. The introduction of water retaining additive, a significant improvement in tensile bond strength and a tendency to increase the shear bond strength.
