The thesis called Phone hacking scandal of News of the World journal and its display in the Czech news agency deals with foreign coverage of the Czech news agency concernig the News of the World phone-hacking scandal.The thesis mainly focuses on the second half of 2011, especially on June, when the scandal broke out. Firstly the thesis deals with history and present of British press, then with Rupert Murdoch's (the last owner of the journal and media mogul) operation in media, with formation, development and extincion of the News of the World journal. It also informs about the phone-hacking scandal's profile and about the news service of the Czech news agency - foreign coverage, reporting formats and so on. It focuses on changes of the amount of news during time, on used formats of coverage, on priorities, services, cathegories and also on sources which the agency used during preparing the news mainly in June 2011. Numbers of news are organized to tables which illustrate the development of amounts of the news published in relation to the scandal. Then the thesis more briefly focuses on remaining months of the second half of 2011 and on previous and subsequent periods. This thesis also finds out how the phone-hacking scandal influenced media regulation of Great Britain.

The thesis "Ownership Forms of News Agencies in Selected EU Countries" aims to analyze the forms of ownership and other characteristics of the three national news agencies: British agency Press Association, Swedish agency Tidningarnas Telegrambyrå and Spanish agency EFE. Differences and similarities of the news agencies and the three media landscapes of UK, Sweden and Spain are explored within the context of the three media systems (North Atlantic, North/Central European and Mediterranean), described by Hallin and Mancini in their book Comparing Media Systems: Three Models of Media and Politics. The comparison is assessed on the basis of four parameters: development of media markets, political parallelism, professionalization and role of the state in media system. The thesis examines agencies from all possible angles. The conclusion summarizes the most important findings and evaluates the comparative analysis of the news agencies' ownership forms and media systems.

Esta dissertação é um estudo sobre as notícias da América Latina produzidas na mídia alternativa, com foco no radiojornalismo. Com isso, busca-se contribuir na construção conceitual do atual jornalismo alternativo latino-americano. Pretende-se compreender o caráter contra-hegemônico desse jornalismo quanto à sua forma e seu conteúdo, inseridos em suas práticas produtivas. O rádio alternativo, em seu atual momento histórico, com ampla utilização da internet e em meio à convergência midiática, é a concretude empírica que contribui para a compreensão do fenômeno pesquisado. O objeto de estudo se refere ao jornalismo realizado sobre temas da América Latina na mídia alternativa, com recorte em duas agências de notícias para rádio: a Radioagência NP e a Agência Pulsar Brasil. Além disso, é ponto de discussão da dissertação a concepção de América Latina e sua relação com projetos comunicacionais de organizações políticas e movimentos sociais. / This dissertation is a study on news about Latin America produced by alternative media, focusing on radio journalism. Therewith, it seeks to contribute with the conceptual construction of current Latin American alternative journalism. It intends to comprehend the counter-hegemonic aspect of this journalism regarding its form and content, inserted in its productive practices. Alternative radio, in its current historical moment, with ample internet use and amid media convergence, is the empirical concreteness that contributes for this study\'s comprehension on the researched phenomenon. The object of study refers to journalism made over Latin American themes in alternative media, particularly in two news agencies for radio: Radioagência NP and Agência Pulsar Brasil. Furthermore, this dissertation discusses the concept of Latin America and its relations with communication projects from political organizations and social movements.

Syftet med undersökningen är att analysera varifrån nyheterna har sitt ursprung och hur återanvändandet av nyheter ser ut i fyra av de största riksmedierna under en arbetsvecka. De fyra medier som ingår i undersökningen är Svenska Dagbladet, Dagens Nyheter, Sveriges Televisions Rapport och Sveriges Radios Ekot. I undersökningen ingår 356 analysenheter och det är en kvantitativ undersökning. För att förstå och analysera resultatet har teorierna gatekeeping, mediernas kommersialisering och nyhetsvärdering använts. Undersökningens resultat visade bland annat att 27 procent av analysenheterna består av köpt eller kopierat material från nyhetsbyråer eller material som är omskrivet från andra medier. Undersökningen visar också att det är stora skillnader mellan olika medietyper. Den största andelen material från nyhetsbyråer kom från tidningarna Dagens Nyheter och Svenska Dagbladet (såväl procentuellt som i absoluta tal). Både Ekot och Rapport hade en betydligt lägre frekvens byråmaterial som de hänvisade till. Såväl radio- som tv-materialet är det ofta svårt att hitta ursprunget till, därför faller mycket material under ”går ej att avgöra”.

台灣有線新聞台的數量，相對於歐美及亞洲其他國家，不但數量上有明顯的差距，競爭亦相當激烈；面對極度商業化的電視環境，各新聞台無不絞盡腦汁、竭盡所能的進行各種變革以爭取收視；而在幾近飽和的國內新聞報導下，國際新聞的製作成了有線新聞台的藍海策略，同時也是一個值得努力爭取收視的方向。 伴隨著全球化各項新科技及電腦、數位電子產品、光纖網路、行動通訊的興起，國際通訊社與有線新聞台之間特殊及微妙的供需關係，因這些軟硬體的出現，在國際新聞的製作及供需方面造成深遠的影響，而國際新聞的產製從過去到現在也呈現了許多不同的樣貌。 有鑒於電視國際新聞的製作與國內新聞製作的不同，新聞的來源及角度也有所差異，同時，國際通訊社與有線新聞台之間的供需關係並不只是建立在單向的服務同時也展現了雙向的業務交流；兩者之間不再只是單向的供給需求，反而身兼雙重角色。 本研究發現，有線新聞台及國際通訊社在國際新聞的產製供需裡，由於新興媒體的出現，雙方在資訊的來源及傳播的管道都有所增加及不同，然而新科技雖帶來無限商機卻也蘊藏著部分危機；資源依賴的程度越來越深，策略聯盟的運用在國際傳播的過程中也變的更為重要。 在傳播無國界的今日，雖然地球村的概念逐漸發酵，但在地主義的興起卻也逐漸獲得重視；本研究之重點在於探討有線新聞台與國際通訊社在國際新聞製作裡的供需變化；在傳統供需現象被打破，新聞供應者同時也可能身兼接收者甚或消費者身分之際，面對市場的轉變，處在這個圈中的每一份子該如何面對這樣的供需變化以符合新的傳播趨勢！

Diplomová práce Multimedializace produkce České tiskové kanceláře se zaměřením videoservis se zabývá proměnami, které se v agentuře udály v nástupem digitalizace, internetu a moderních technologií. ČTK se působením těchto vlivů stala konvergovanou multimediální agenturou nabízející kromě tradičního textového a fotografického zpravodajství také infografické, zvukové a audiovizuální zpravodajství. Práce popisuje, na základě rozhovorů se zaměstnanci ČTK, jak probíhal vznik a vývoj audioservisu od roku 2000 a videoservisu od roku 2006 do současnosti. Zároveň průběhu let transformoval objem těchto servisů. Pomocí kvantitativní obsahové analýzy zjišťuje, jakým způsobem se proměnili mluvčí ve zvukovém zpravodajství a zastoupení zdrojů ve videozpravodajství.

The Czech News Agency (ČTK) is a media institution that collects, processes and provides its customers with information on domestic and foreign events. It represents an important source of information (not only) for other media. However, trying to provide prompt information on interesting events may lead to inaccuracies and excessive simplification, especially in areas where there is a specialised element. One of them is criminal proceedings, which take place within the limits set by law. Therefore, this diploma thesis aims to map the form of criminal proceedings taking place before the Czech courts, as depicted in the ČTK news, and possibly to draw attention to their shortcomings in terms of legal standards and ČTK's ethical rules. The diploma thesis is divided into five basic parts. The introductory part briefly describes the concept of criminal proceedings, its course, selected basic principles and terminology. The following part outlines the importance of news for criminal proceedings (public control over the lawfulness of the criminal proceedings) and the boundaries between protecting freedom of speech on the media's part and the personal rights of prosecuted people and the victims. The diploma thesis A Media Picture of USA by ČTK and its Comparison with ČRo Reporter's News in the First Half of the Year 2013 focuses on the comparison of the news and materials released by Czech Press Agency, Czech Radio and its foreign correspondent, about United States. Using qualitative and quantitative methods the paper examines the extent of the space donated to the topics related to USA, which themes were followed and how every of the subjects were informing on them. The quantitative methods are used when analyzing the news releases by Czech Press Agency and coverage of Czech Radio including contributions of foreign correspondent, during the period of the first six months of 2013. The qualitative part analyzes the way in which subjects reported on two selected events in the United States - attacks on the Marathon in Boston and West Fertilizer Company explosion. Other parts of this work are chapters focusing on the theory of foreign news and the position of USA.

This diploma thesis points out differences in the reporting methods of CTK and CT, the two public service's media, regarding the Ukrainian crisis. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on both of these media's properties with emphasis on their foreign coverageas well as related medial terms' definitions. One chapter is reserved to cover Ukraine as a state and its political history since the SovietUnion's disintegration through to 2014 and the Ukrainian crisis development; further studying the relationship between Ukraine and the Russian Federation resulting in the crisis in 2013. In the practical part of the thesis quantitative and qualitative methods are used to determine how much attention and screen-time both media dedicated to the crisis, which parties were given opportunities to comment and identify other sources of information. Keeping in mind the fact that CT had four reporters on site at it's disposal, the thesis tries to find out how big of an influence that had on the overall production, processing and tone of the television news and to what degree the production of both media agreed or diverged.
