Automatické řízení a monitorování ústředního vytápění pro starší budovy / Automated Control and Monitoring of Central Heating for Older Buildings

Mužila, Matej January 2019 (has links)
The purpose of this thesis is a design of an automated heating regulation system for an old building. The thesis consists of a system architecture design, an implementation of the system, including prototype manufacturing of the required devices, and testing of the whole system in practice, with focus on functionality and efficiency. Several hardware devices were designed and manufactured, for which appropriate controlling software was implemented. The implemented software architecture enables users to control the system using a graphical user interface, and allows for an easy extension of the system. The graphical user interface, which is accessible both locally through a touchscreen and remotely using a web application, enables users to easily configure connected devices and regulated zones, and to set temperature level in the defined zones variably depending on a week day and time. The user interface also provides statistics about the heating system. The implemented automated heating regulation system was successfully tested in real conditions of a flat in a historical building. The system can be extended both hardware-wise and software-wise.

Audio Thermometer : Determining Water Temperature By Its Sound

Rohlin, Hannes, Thulin, Jesper January 2022 (has links)
In this project, the temperature of water was to be determined by recording the sound made whilst being poured into a container. The goal was set to achieve an accuracy of at least 80% of measurements should be predicted within ±10°C and a negligible amount outside ±20°C. The approach to this problem was through creating an algorithm based on signal analysis and machine learning, which required a large quantity of audio samples to train. This algorithm would then be put into an application for added versatility. The resulting algorithm was able to make a prediction of 78.4% of measurements within ± 10°C and the ± 20°C interval contained all but 5.4% of the measurements. The app did not work as intended on mobile devices but is functional on a computer. Although the computer version is functional and can predict temperatures, it is not accurate enough to be useful in day to day life.

This study falls within the scope of undergraduate chemistry teaching through inquirybased laboratory using open projects of automatic data acquisition systems. This work studied a thermistor-based temperature-measuring instrument with automatic data acquisition and applications in investigative experimental activities in physical chemistry. The study aimed to the design, development and evaluation of an electronic thermometer with thermistor for automatic acquisition of temperature data in real time and its use in experimental practice activities. The project of the electronic thermometer includes a thermistor type temperature transducer, a signal conditioning circuit, an Arduino platform and an Excel spreadsheet for real-time data representation of temperature versus time data. The results indicate that the thermometer built has a measurement uncertainty of 0,07 °C in the range of -10 °C to 100 °C. This instrument was used as a resource to facilitate the planning and implementation of investigative experimental practices of experimental physical chemistry. The activities involved the determination of enthalpy of decomposition of hydrogen peroxide and the cooling curve of stearic acid (thermometry activity). The organization of thermometry experimental activity followed the pattern of Lawson's argumentation, and was developed in three phases: prediction, experimentation and verification. The experimentation phase followed the open laboratory model. The learning objectives of the activities were organized in cognition levels in accordance with the Revised Bloom's Taxonomy of Educational Objectives. The implementation took place with a group of Experimental Physical Chemistry I students in the first semester of 2015, in March and April, at a public university in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. The data collection instruments were the guides for experimental practical activities used by the participants during the implementation of activities, a multiplechoice test of knowledge and a test for motivation to learn, applied before and after implementation, and the observations of teacher researcher. The knowledge test was analyzed evaluating their reliability and levels of difficulty and discrimination of each item. Non-parametric Wilcoxon signed-rank tests indicate an improvement in the performance of participants for knowledge test (p-value=0,009) and motivation to learn (pvalue = 0,006). The analyses of participants’ responses to activity guides were carried out categorizing items of the guides in cognitive levels proposed by Zoller. Items with cognitive development LOCS level was reached by most of the participants, while the HOCS level, related to the development of hypotheses, was not reached by any participant. The prototype of the electronic thermometer with data acquisition and the experimental activities of thermometry and calorimetry are educational products resulting from this study, and may be used and/or modified to meet the needs of the didactic planning of the chemistry teacher.

Didier, Herisson 18 October 2002 (has links) (PDF)

Defended by many researchers and teachers of Physics, the experimental activity consists of an interesting didactic resource to change this situation. However, it is not frequently used in classroom and when it is applied, in general, becomes inserted in a traditional proposal of teaching, using strictly structured guide that serves only for the illustration of the theory, verification of a law or observation of a phenomenon. As a suggested alternative for this situation we have developed a teaching strategy, grounded in Vigotski's social interaction theory and investigative methodology, which is currently defended by several researchers in the field of Science Education and explores the experimental activity in a flexible way under an investigative perspective. It consists of five parts: i. Contextualization; ii. Instigation; iii. Planning; iv. Accomplishment and v. Ending. The proposal has been applied in a high school classroom in a public school of a night class, as part of our teaching activities. To this end, we choose an experiment, commonly found in many Physics textbooks, which is the construction of a rudimentary liquid column thermometer. This experiment allowed us to explore several concepts related to Thermal Physics such as temperature, thermal equilibrium, expansion and thermal conductivity, calibration of thermometers, both analytically and qualitatively. Considering the context in which this proposal was applied, despite many adversities, we can consider that the work achieved its goal in a satisfactory way, especially concerning to the greater involvement of students in the study of Physics. Attached to this work follows a manual in which we discuss some strategies for realization of experimental activities, pointing out the advantages and disadvantages of each one. Additionally we emphasize the proposal based on the physical investigation in order to exploit the phenomenon in a more interesting and meaningful way. Constituída por cinco momentos: i. Contextualização; ii. Provocação; iii. Planejamento; iv.

Výpočet chlazení asynchronního stroje pomocí programu Ansys CFX / Calculation of the cooling of the asynchronous machine ANSYS CFX

Horálek, Lukáš January 2017 (has links)
The issue this master’s thesis discusses the cooling synchronous machines. Specifically, the calculation of cooling induction motor using the finite volume method. Using Autodesk Inventor will create a 3D model of a real electric machine, ie asynchronous motor and then ANSYS WORKBENCH perform system analysis CFX, based on the finite volume method. Furthermore, we realize the air speed measurements on a particular machine and the individual results obtained by measuring and calculating the actual compared with each other. The master’s thesis also deals marginally with closely related to it. For the same machine model, we apply the calculation of the temperature fields using the finite volume method and them perform a thermal analysis. Next, we can carry out the measurement of the temperature on the motor itself and calculate the measured values and the measured compare each other.
