No final dos anos 1960 os Waiwai, famosos por suas expedições a grupos indígenas isolados, entraram em contato com povos que habitavam o rio Turuni e levaram parte de seus habitantes para a missão evangélica Kanaxen, na Guiana Inglesa. Nesta dissertação pretendo reconstituir uma história que me foi por diversas vezes contada por Tikti, um homem que nasceu e cresceu no rio Turuni, mas que criou seus filhos entre os Waiwai. Através de histórias de migração, guerra e trocas de bens e pessoas, ele situa sua diferença em relação aos Waiwai através de uma trajetória própria que se constitui pela feitura de relações e lugares específicos, o que o qualifica como Txikyana. Mostrarei como a atual tentativa de um de seus filhos, Xokokono, de abrir uma aldeia no local onde seu pai viveu segue o movimento descrito por essas trajetórias, em que a memória dos lugares e alianças indica com quem e onde morar, se convertendo, nas mãos de conhecedores indígenas, em ensinamentos de um bem viver baseado no ideal da vida entre parentes, fortemente ligado à maneira de ocupação do território. / In the late 1960s the Waiwai, that are famous for their search expeditions seeking isolated indigenous groups, came into contact with some groups living at Turuni river managing to take the most of it residents to Kanaxen evangelic mission in British Guiana. In this dissertation I intend to reconstruct a history that has been told me several times by Tikti, a man that was born at Turuni but have raised his children among the Waiwai. By telling about migrations, conflicts and exchange of people and goods he places his difference in respect to the Waiwai by showing a particular trajectory constituted by specific relationships and places and which qualifies him as Txikyana. I will show how the current attempt of one of his sons, Xokokono, to form a village at the place where his father used to live follows the movement described by these trajectories, where the memory of places and alliances indicates with whom and where to live.
