Esta investigação tem por objetivo compreender como mulheres imigrantes constróem no espaço da cidade formas de convívio e negociações, conseguem acolhimento e respostas às suas necessidades e investem no pertencimento de redes sociais de apoio configurando novas formas de levar suas vidas. A partir de contato inicial realizado em uma instituição religiosa na cidade de São Paulo que recebe mulheres estrangeiras selecionaram-se cinco dessas mulheres: três solicitantes de refúgio, uma imigrante e uma egressa de sistema prisional propondo-se a pesquisadora a acompanhá-las, em diferentes períodos e situações, nas suas atividades cotidianas. A proposta possibilitou a realização de uma etnografia e observação participante em profundidade de seus itinerários na cidade. Os itinerários percorridos e acompanhados pela pesquisa mostraram diversas formas de construção de sociabilidade e de novas estratégias na vida dessas mulheres bem como diferentes modos de relação com as instituições às quais elas recorriam para apoio. De modo geral, percebe-se que, sendo mulheres, e estrangeiras, a transitoriedade de suas estadas na cidade é atravessada por interações com outras pessoas, com um trabalho ou uma atividade de lazer ou mesmo com as instituições de ajuda. Dentre estas interações percebe-se que as relações de ajuda efetiva se dão, principalmente, nos espaços fora das instituições, ou seja, nas redes de sociabilidade criadas e nos espaços acessados e acessíveis da cidade. / This study aims to comprehend how immigrant women build, in the space of the city of São Paulo, their interpersonal relationships, their negotiations with the institutions they have to deal with, their support and social networks, resulting in a new way of living their lives. Starting from a contact with one of the religious institutions that offers shelter to foreign women in São Paulo, five inhabitants of this house were met and followed on their routine activities around the city. Those women were three asylum seekers, one economic migrant and one ex-prisoner. This proposal made possible the construction of an ethnography and a participant observation of the itineraries undertaken by them in the city. Those itineraries undertaken by them and followed by this study showed different strategies and social relationships made by those women in the city. In general, the itineraries showed that, by being women and foreigners, their transitional relationship with the city was crossed by the people they meet, their work, their leisure activities and the institutions that were willing to help them. In spite of those interactions, the ones that seem to be more able to offer a significant help to them are the relationships outside the scope of those institutions, meaning the social networks built and the interactions with the accessible and accessed spaces in the city.

Essa dissertação relata, a partir de um estudo etnográfico, a experiência de duas oficinas de fotografia pinhole de que participei igualmente como pesquisadora e professora da técnica, realizadas nos bairros Partenon e Lomba do Pinheiro na cidade de Porto Alegre. A partir das experiências vividas com os alunos dessas atividades, analisam-se aspectos sobre itinerários urbanos e a troca de olhares e imagens na paisagem urbana. A técnica pinhole consiste na utilização de câmeras sem lentes que, pelo princípio da câmara escura, permite a obtenção de imagens de maneira bastante simplificada. As câmeras são construídas a partir de latas de tintas forradas de preto, onde a passagem da luz é controlada por um pequeno furo de agulha. As oficinas, ministradas pelo grupo de fotógrafos Lata Mágica, serviram como ponto de partida para a análise desse ato fotográfico diferenciado abordado a partir das “artes de fazer” dos alunos ao construírem suas imagens de forma mais artesanal do que na fotografia convencional. Assim, a fotografia pinhole é considerada enquanto uma ruptura em relação à fotografia que utiliza câmeras com lentes e é significada pelos alunos das oficinas de acordo com a construção de seus olhares. Consideram-se suas relações com a imagem que construíram e com o artefato fotografia enquanto um objeto de apropriações sociais, evocando o trabalho da memória e suas trajetórias conformadas por visões de mundo e estilos de vida diferenciados. O olhar apresentado nas imagens possibilita a reflexão sobre os alunos enquanto habitantes do espaço urbano da cidade de Porto Alegre e suas relações com os locais, nos termos de espaços vividos, e pessoas que fotografaram. / Based on an ethnographic study, this paper tells the experience of two pinhole photography workshops taken place in the locations of Partenon and Lomba do Pinheiro, in the city of Porto Alegre. Having taken part of such workshops, both as a researcher and as a teacher of this technique, I have analysed some aspects of urban itineraries and the trade of sights and images of the urban landscape considering the experiments lived by the students of such activities. Pinhole technique consists on the use of lenses-free cameras, which allow the obtainance of images through the camera obscura principle in a rather simplified manner. These cameras are manufactured out of black covered paint tins, where the light goes through controlled by a small hole made with a pin. The workshops, given by a team of photographers called Lata Mágica (Magic Tin), were taken as start line for the analysis of this differential photographic act, based on the arts of making of the students while building the images more hand-craftily than in conventional photography. Thus, pinhole photography is considered to be a burst related to photography obtained through cameras provided of lenses and it is meant by the workshop students while building their sights. The relations to the built image and the photography artefact are considered as an object of social appropriation, evoquing memory work and its trajectory conformed to different world views and lifestyles. The sight presented in the images allows the reflection on the students as inhabitants of the urban zone of Porto Alegre and their relations to the locations, in terms of lived spaces, and the photographed people.

Em meio a uma situação de conflito de uso de terras e águas na cidade, busca-se compreender como ações cotidianas dos moradores no ambiente urbano e suas representações quanto ao seu pertencimento diferenciado à paisagem urbana de Porto Alegre podem ser interpretados no contexto das tendências contemporâneas de reestruturação de relações sociais e reorientação de comportamentos para construção de uma cidadania ambientalmente comprometida com a preservação e recuperação dos ambientes naturais do planeta. Valendo-se do registro e da montagem de narrativas audiovisuais, a pesquisa voltou-se para a importância da experiência urbana desses sujeitos e da memória coletiva na compreensão das diferentes dimensões éticas que estão em jogo na visão ecossistêmica das relações entre indivíduo, ambiente e sociedade. A partir de seus itinerários urbanos, presentes às suas trajetórias sociais, investiga-se a relação entre seus sentimentos de enraizamento nas comunidades das ilhas e o reconhecimento de sua pertença a esferas sociais mais amplas, como a Região Metropolitana, a Região Hidrográfica e de uma forma geral, à Biosfera. / This thesis approaches the transformations in the world view that are present in the narratives and the daily practices of the residents of territories located on the margins of the water, the islands of the Delta do Jacuí, in the Metropolitan Area of the State of Rio Grande do Sul's capital, Porto Alegre, Brazil. Amid a situation of conflict of use of land and water in the city, we have interpreted the residents' daily actions in the urban environment and their representations of their belonging to the urban landscape of Porto Alegre on the context of the contemporary tendencies of restructuring of social relationships and reorientation of behaviors for construction of a citizenship committed to the preservation and recovery of the natural environment of the planet. Using the recording and the editing of audiovisual narratives, the research went back to the importance of the urban experience of those subjects and of the collective memory in the understanding of the different ethical dimensions of the ecossistemic point of view about the relationships among individual, environment and society. The study investigates their urban itineraries that are present in their social trajectories, their belonging to the communities of the islands and the recognition of their relationships to wider social spheres, as the Metropolitan Region, the Hydrographic Region and in general, to the Biosphere.
