<p>Pupils learn in different ways, varied teaching is needed to encourage all pupils. Aesthetic can be a good tool in this work and dance is one of the aesthetic subjects that can be used in the education. Dance gives the pupils an awareness of their bodies and what they can express through it. The essay discusses diffrent angel of incidence of dance in school and its positive effects and examines what kinds of dance there are in the schools of Vänersborg’s municipal. This essay shows that aesthetic learning and dance can lead to increased learning in school, can counteract bullying, give the pupils more developed motor skills and the pupils are given a new language to express themselves with. Dance is culture overrun and it’s developments personality and social relations. The pupils will have a greater sense of their body and its movements and pupils experience a greater joy in school.</p><p> </p><p>Through inquirys sent to 14 headmasters of preschool up to sixth grade in Vänersborg’s municipal, it was investigated how much dance there is in the schools. The result shows that there isn’t dance regular in the education. Some reasons are lack of time and deficient interest but also insufficient compentense among the teachers for dance to become a natural part of the education. The essay discusses then dance in school and how it develops the pupils; this is connected with the current situation in Vänersborg.</p>
