The museum has more than one hundred artifacts of this type in its collection, which are divided into several collections. The questions that guide this research are: in relation to the Brazilian heritage in museums, how the clothing is present at MUZA? What senses are produced from the exhibition of these costumes and ornaments? What do they hide or reveal? In order to answer these questions, the study is based on the visual analysis of the objects, using the methods proposed by the researchers Jules Prown (analysis of artifacts), Heloísa S. F. Capel (image analysis) and Rita Morais de Andrade (textile artifacts analysis). As for the procedures, the study consists of a literature review, which involves the areas of Visual Culture, Material Culture, Heritage, Museology and Study about Clothing. In addition, there was the analysis of documents related to the costumes, visits to the museum and interviews with employees and former employees. Through this study, it was possible to perceive how was the creation of the museum and the formation of its first collections; to quantify and qualify the clothing and adornments belonging to its collection; identify how the collections that have this type of artifact were formed and the criterion used to acquire these items; to realize that it is possible to carry out the study of clothing not only from the textile artifact, but also through the visual analysis of paintings, photographs and sculptures; and to identify that the way the artifacts are organized in the exhibitions place contributes to the construction of specific identities of the state of Goiás. / Esta dissertação apresenta o estudo dos trajes e adornos expostos no Museu Goiano Professor Zoroastro Artiaga (MUZA) em Goiânia, Goiás. O museu possui mais de cem artefatos desse tipo em seu acervo e que se dividem em coleções diversas. As questões que norteiam a pesquisa são: em relação ao patrimônio brasileiro nos museus, como a indumentária está presente no MUZA? Que sentidos são produzidos a partir da exposição desses trajes e adornos? O que eles escondem ou revelam? Para isso, o estudo se alicerça na análise visual dos objetos, a partir dos métodos propostos pelos pesquisadores Jules Prown (análise de artefatos), Heloísa S. F. Capel (análise de imagens) e Rita Morais de Andrade (análise de artefatos têxteis). A revisão bibliográfica envolveu os campos da Cultura Visual, Cultura Material, Patrimônio, Museologia e Estudos sobre Indumentária. Além disso, houve a análise de documentos relativos aos trajes, visitas ao museu e entrevistas com funcionários e ex- funcionários. Através deste estudo, foi possível perceber como se deu a criação do museu e a formação das suas primeiras coleções; quantificar e qualificar as vestimentas e adornos pertencentes ao seu acervo; identificar como as coleções que possuem esse tipo de artefato foram formadas e os critérios utilizados pelo museu para a aquisição destes itens; perceber que é possível realizar o estudo da indumentária não apenas a partir do artefato têxtil, mas também por meio da análise visual de pinturas, fotografias e esculturas; e identificar que o modo como os artefatos estão organizados no espaço expositivo contribuem para a construção de identidades específicas do estado de Goiás.

These works emphasize the formation of a sense of identity, running through a constant negotiation between memory and history. These authors have become references in the study of the regional history and the collection of their works has seeded the political and cultural representations of Goiás society. Based on these considerations, the focus of this dissertation took special interest in the written history of one of the participants of this generation of Goiás intellectuals, Zoroaster Artiaga, mainly his articles published in the newspaper “Folha de Goiaz”, covering a period between 1967 and 1968. The overall goal here was to understand how the narratives about the past of Goiás, written by intellectuals of the first half of the twentieth century, have become ‘History of Goiás’. Permeating questions about the meaning of the said author’s role in the representation of the region’s history and the interests involved in the publication of a daily column about the history of Goiás, the study seek to characterize the trajectory of Zoroaster Artiaga, trying to understand how the author projects himself as a Goiás intellectual, and then as a historian. This process is explored by an exercise of imagining what made possible and understandable Zoroaster Artiaga’s trajectory in a given context, examining and undertaking the review of his internal logic in discourse / document, as compared it with the discourses of other actors who have written about this same historical agent. By focusing on the context of linking Artiaga Zoroaster’s personality with a generation of intellectuals who demarcated their public action through the press, the present investigation covers the setting of the daily column “History of Goiás”, published in newspaper “Folha de Goyaz”. Thus, the axis of the reflection here tries to locate an internal logic in the mode of production of these writings and a way of thinking about history. Furthermore, it discusses how the representation of Goiás history built by Zoroaster Artiaga selected a set of themes, related in order to think about the history of the region, emphasized by political and cultural values, and mediated by looking at the past with a view on the present. / As obras escritas e designadas como história de Goiás, elaboradas por autores goianos da primeira metade do século XX, foram produzidas no esforço de representar a história da região, primando pela preservação e documentação do passado do povo goiano. Tais obras sublinham a formação de um sentimento de identidade que passa por uma constante negociação entre memória e história. Seus autores se tornaram referência para o estudo da história regional e semearam, no conjunto de suas obras, as representações políticas e culturais da sociedade goiana. Partindo dessas considerações, a investigação desta dissertação centrou-se na escrita de história de um dos partícipes dessa geração de intelectuais goianos, Zoroastro Artiaga, principalmente, em seus artigos publicados no jornal Folha de Goiaz, cujo recorte se deu entre os anos de 1967 e 1968. O objetivo geral foi compreender como as narrativas sobre o passado de Goiás escritas pelos intelectuais goianos da primeira metade do século XX se transformaram em História de Goiás. Permeando questões sobre o sentido da atuação do referido autor na representação da história da região e os interesses presentes na publicação de uma coluna diária acerca da história de Goiás, a pesquisa buscou caracterizar a trajetória de Zoroastro Artiaga, tentando compreender como o autor se projetou como intelectual goiano e, depois, como historiador. Esse processo foi explorado no exercício de interrogar-se sobre o que tornou possível e pensável a trajetória de Zoroastro Artiaga em um dado contexto, examinando e empreendendo a crítica da lógica interna do discurso/documento e comparando com os discursos dos outros atores que escreveram sobre esse agente histórico. Ao focar o contexto de vinculação da personalidade de Zoroastro Artiaga com uma geração de intelectuais que demarcavam na imprensa seu espaço de publicação, a investigação percorreu a configuração da coluna diária História de Goiás publicada no jornal Folha de Goiaz. Desse modo, o eixo de reflexão procurou localizar uma lógica interna nos modos de produção desses escritos e na concepção de pensar a história. Além disso, discute como a representação da história goiana construída por Zoroastro Artiaga selecionou um conjunto de temas voltados para se pensar a história da região, enfatizados por valores políticos e culturais e mediados pelo olhar para o passado com vistas no presente.
