Vysokoškolské vzdělávání v Rakousku: právní úprava, případová studie a implikace pro ČR / Higher education in Austria: the rule of law , case studies and implications for Czech Republic

In 2015, Wien Wirtschafsuniversität ranked among economic universities regularly disclosed on the Financial Times in position number 42. The University of Economics last three years, around 80th place. Why is this so? In the context of this thesis is to analyze not only the legal prerequisites for successful graduates of the master's program Finance and Accounting, but also deals with the practical use of knowledge on the labor market resp. As well as the current unemployment of graduates in what fields they can work, etc. In this work also deals with the human capital theory, which explores the motives for higher education. They are given different conditions during their studies at WU and Economics, as well as development starting salary after graduation. The last chapter contains examples that would be good to apply in the Czech higher education system. The question remains, why WU placed on better positions than ALL? According to the author's investment in science and research in Austria - currently invest nearly 2% of GDP, as well as 100-year-old development WU, when no interruption to develop economic theory and their application in practice, as well as linking university knowledge with practice.

This thesis revises the position of young people on labour markets in the EU. It focuses on all the three parties involved in the problem: on young people and their school preparation for work (level, quality and structure of the education); on labour markets and what they can offer to young people; and on the European Union as an institution which should ease the entrance of young people to the working life. The author suggests, on basis of the data presented, some mesures to improve the employment of young people. That should happen especially by changing the education systems which must focus more on practice and job-related experience.

This thesis deals with diversity and diversity management. The aim of this work is to analyze how are young people affected by supporting diversity and implementation of diversity management by the company and see what awareness students have of diversity and diversity management, what attitude have young people towards diversity in the workplace and opinions of young people on discrimination in the workplace. Quantitative research was chosen as analysis method. The students of economics were selected as target group. Research has shown that students have a very good knowledge of diversity. Awareness of diversity management among students and graduates is relatively high but only few of them have met with this concept in practice. Most of students think that diversity management has a positive effect on the performance of the company and they consider increasing creativity and innovation of employees as the biggest advantage of this concept. When choosing a job offer companies which promote diversity of employees are considered more attractive.

This diploma thesis deals with the topic of personal marketing in the area of shared services centres, mainly by its external part focusing on acquisition of university students and graduates. The main aim of the thesis is to propose improvements for personal marketing strategy of one concrete company. For this purpose, the key notions from the field of personal marketing as employer branding and employer reputation are defined as well as the terms from the area of shared services centres. After the definition of SSC, the sector of shared company services is going to be described to give reasons for the need for them to set up an effective personal marketing strategy aimed on university students and graduates. In practical part the assessment of the current approach to the personal marketing of the chosen company is to be made by analysing individual elements of its personal marketing strategy and comparing it to its competition. Then by using that and the results of the survey made amongst the target groups, the recommendation to improve current HR marketing strategy of the chosen company will be concluded.

Diploma thesis focuses on issues of motivation for doing business of graduates of University of Economics in Prague. The aim of this diploma thesis is to clarify the context of the start of their business and to make sense of their motivation to start and to do business. In the first theoretical part there are defined basic definitions of business and the approaches to entrepreneurship issues. The second part deals with "business environment" in the Czech republic, this is the first key factor which encourages to start a business. The second key factor is personality of businessmen itself. Subsequently, diploma thesis generally explains problems of motivation, as well as in relation to business. The research was accomplished by the method of the "depth interview" with the absolvents of University of Economics in Prague who run a business. The main conclusions are introduced in the practical part of this thesis.

Thesis on the topic of the possibilities and limits of using the method of mystery shopping in the measurement of the public services quality is intended to introduce the method of mystery shopping and to evaluate the possibility of its use in the public services quality measurement through its application. Quality is a broad term which is associated with many definitions. Public services have many specifics compared to the private ones, dominated by the lack of profit and focus on meeting the public interest. Even the definition of quality and performance standards in the public sector differs from those in the private sector. Mystery shopping, which is heavily used in measuring the level of service quality in the private sector occurs rarely in the common practice of public services. The public sector is declaratively for several decades focused on the quality of its services. This research paper is a study of the alumni of the Department of Social and Cultural Ecology Programme on Faculty of Humanities, Charles University (or "SKE"). The research is grounded in Bourdieu's reflexive sociology. In Bourdieu's terms, it studies the habitus of the SKE alumni in relation to the field of SKE. Inspired by Wacquant's carnal sociology, I do not put myself in the classical ethnographic position of "a researcher amongst bushmen": I am one of those I study. The main method used for studying the field of SKE was the observant participation of Loïc Wacquant. In the second part of the research, a questionnaire in combination with qualitative methods was used to identify the habitus of the alumni. As a result of the research, the field of SKE was described and basic contours of habitus were identified. With regards to reflexive sociology demands, a straight ethnographic confrontation of respondents would have to be conducted in order to identify the precise parameters of habitus. Thesis looks at parallel pensum of high school and musical education from the perspective of the teachers and students of Gymnasium and Musical School of Capital City Prague. Apart from the history and the foundation of musical classes, the paper mainly focuses on the research part which brings the teachers' views on for example the cooperation with their colleagues, their opinions on the appropriate school equipment, or what they themselves gained from teaching at the school. The thesis also looks at the school students and graduates. Using a survey, it attempts to find their opinions on the time demands of their studies, what they learnt at the school and how they retrospectively see their experience with it. Furthermore, the paper provides interviews with graduates, teachers and headmasters.

In the academic year 2005/2006 the multidisciplinary bachelor's study field of Addictology began to be taught in the full-time form at the First Medical Faculty of Charles University in Prague for the first time. During its nearly ten years of existence it was taken and successfully completed already by several dosens of students, however, a complex feedback on the study design and work, have not yet been realized. The main idea of the presented thesis was to evaluate the full-time form of bachelor's study field of Addictology from the perspective of graduates, and develop recommendations to improve this study field. The main objective was achieved through the evaluation research consisting of the following three research lines: needs analysis, evaluation of satisfaction and process evaluation. Content analysis was used for this purpose and its research sample consisted of official documents concerning the conception of the bachelor's study field of Addictology, namely accreditation files of the bachelor's study field of Addictology from the years 2004, 2007 and 2011, as well as curricula and last syllabi. The thesis focuses on the position of graduates of the master's programme in translation and interpreting at the Institute of Translation Studies at the Faculty of Arts of Charles University in Prague (formerly Department of Translation and Interpreting at the Faculty of Arts of Charles University; University of 17 November) on the labour market. It follows up on the survey of employment possibilities of graduates of these institutions which was carried out in 1997 (Čeňková). The theoretical part of the thesis addresses graduate placement from the viewpoint of education policy and of translation studies. This part also provides a description of language industry trends and problems of the translation and interpreting market, with particular emphasis on the Czech environment. The empirical part presents the results of a questionnaire survey among graduates in the field of translation and interpreting from 1967 to 2010.
