Analýza spokojnosti zákazníkov vybranej cestovnej kancelárie / Analysis of costumers satisfaction with the services of a selected travel agency

Vladovičová, Lenka January 2012 (has links)
This dissertation aims to analyze customer satisfaction with the services provided by fishing travel agency Pepa. An entrepreneur is trying to achieve quality services and general customer satisfaction as the primary goal. Recognising consumer behaviour is essential for building loyalty and increases the likelihood of next purchase. Quality contains a set of factors that affect its overall perception. The individual character of quality is determined by economical and political situation in the country, modern technologies or cultural - historical background. Qualified staff and skilled company management are integral component of high quality services. Quality is needed to be checked constantly with established management concepts ( TQM ) or other existing standards. The quality should be controlled not only by the legislative authority but the enterprise itself and the customers too. The image of travel agency Pepa is based on quality and reliable services that are provided to its customers for several years. During this period of time travel agency Pepa climbed up gradually to the top of the fishing tour operators list and maintains its permanent clientele. This dissertation focuses in the detection of shortages and weaknesses of services including possible improvements for better services. The methodology of my thesis is based on the analysis of literature, Internet resources, questionnaires and personal interviews. Personal interviews with clients and the owner of travel agency Pepa expanded my knowledge in this issue.

CIDA and the aid-trade linkage

MacKay, Edward Grant January 1987 (has links)
The Canadian foreign aid program increasingly has been linked to trade and other commercial objectives- How and why has this happened? Has this been a successful linkage? What are the implications for Canada and its foreign aid program of this pursuit of the aid-trade linkage? This thesis attempts to answer these questions by exploring the origins and evolution of Canada's aid program, the political and bureaucratic status of Canada's aid agency, the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), and the various policies and policy instruments employed in this recent orientation of aid. It is here argued that in the pragmatic origins of Canada's aid efforts, beginning with the Colombo Plan of the 1950s, lay the seeds for today's aid-trade policy linkage. These origins enabled the interests and objectives of other federal government departments to intrude on and often supersede developmental considerations in Canadian development assistance. As a result, the creation of a strong central aid agency has consistently been impeded, and the needs of Third World nations consistently overshadowed by domestic concerns. Exacerbating this situation was the fiscal restraint and domestic recession of the late 1970s and early 1980s. The pressures stemming from these twin problems gave the final impetus for the increasing integration of aid and commerce. While it is questionable whether linking aid with commerce serves Canada's political and economic interests, in either the short term or the long term, the federal government seems intent on continuing this policy trend. Indeed, the aid-trade linkage superficially resolves a number of administrative problems for CIDA, and enthusiastically is promoted as a bright new opportunity for Canada and its development partners. Conversely, efforts to reverse this policy trend face many obstacles in the Canadian polity and society. In the absence of decisive political leadership on this issue, then, aid-trade linkage is likely to continue. / Arts, Faculty of / Political Science, Department of / Graduate

Šolcová, Jana January 2011 (has links)
Subject matter of this thesis is the analysis of the offer of travel agencies in relation to a selected territory -- Turkey. The aim the work is to find out whether the offer of holiday packages in relation to this destination is sufficient on the Czech market or if it was possible to enrich this offer. Analýza potenciálu konzultačních služeb v cestovním ruchu - založení a rozvoj firmy ČambiTour / Evaluation of potential of consulting services in tourism - the establishment and development of the company ČambiTour

Čambálová, Lucie January 2011 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with the evaluation of potential of consulting services in outgoing tourism. Based on several key research revealed that in the Czech Republic there is no specialized travel agency focused on consulting services. Demand for these services is quite high, people miss the personal approach and the opportunity to consult their holidays with a travel consultant. The solution could be to create a new travel agency ČambiTour with focuse on consulting services. Providing of these services, however, must be free of charge - Czechs have not been prepared to pay for these services yet. The main part of this thesis is focused on the establishment and development of new travel agency ČambiTour. Specifically, there is a business plan, marketing strategy and possible business risks analysis. There is also research of client satisfaction, SWOT analysis and possible options for future development of the company.

Breaking Borders: Women of Mexican Heritage in Douglas, Arizona

Lewis, Cecelia Ann, Lewis, Cecelia Ann January 2016 (has links)
This study examines the manifold ways in which fifteen women of Mexican heritage actively participated in the secular, spiritual, and social spheres to improve conditions for themselves and their community in Douglas, Arizona during the first half of the twentieth century. Using interviews, newspapers, US census reports, ephemera, and secondary sources, it highlights the women's agency and the various ways they employed critical and innovative approaches to break through the economic, personal, and structural borders imposed by a corporate and industrial smelter town created by Phelps-Dodge and Company and the Calumet and Arizona Company. In this dissertation I ask, and seek to answer questions such as: why did these women of Mexican heritage choose to settle in Douglas; why did those who were born there remain; and what did this newly established town offer the women in this study that perhaps more established cities in the southwestern United States did not? Because Mexicanas are invisible in the archives and in the historical chronicles of Douglas Arizona, this dissertation employs an interdisciplinary methodology designed to highlight their actions and their contributions to their communities, city, and nation. Influenced by Chicana theorist Gloria Anzaldua, I seek to recover history, and what she refers to as la facultad, by relying on the words of the women and their families to offer answers and insight. Despite the challenges of living in the borderlands in a time of limited access to economic and social resources, these women's contributions to history confirm that Mexicanas were not passive subalterns.

Greenfield and Heritage IPOs: A Comparison After One and Five Years

Del Piano, Peter James 29 November 2012 (has links)
The focus of this study is twofold: first to determine the impact of agency costs on firm performance, measured using operating expenses to sales ratio and total asset turnover ratio, for Greenfield firms (private to public) and Heritage firms (spin-offs of already public companies) types of initial public offerings after one and five years; second to compare the performance, as measured market to book value per share, of Greenfield and Heritage firms after one and five years. Thus addressing the question of whether initial differences between Greenfield and Heritage firms at the time of the IPO are evident after one and five years. The results showed that Heritage firms have a significantly lower expenses/sales ratio one year after the IPO. The study confirmed that after five years Greenfield firms would have similar expense/sales ratio and show similar performance to Heritage firms.

The Relationship between service quality and market orientation: an empirical study in the Taiwan advertising industry

Hsu, An-Chi 07 May 2009 (has links)
The results of this study provide support for the use of the SERVQUAL and market orientation instruments for evaluating agencies approach to service delivery issues in Taiwan. The results indicate that on two of the five dimensions of the SERVQUAL instrument in particular have the potential for identifying areas of concerns and facilitating focusing on specific concerns and developing mechanisms for addressing these concerns. These areas are responsiveness and reliability. The potential for improving the applicability and sophistication of the instrument also exists. There are clearly issues that can be addressed between the perceptions and expectations of both customers and managers for the advertising agencies. In particular, the results indicate that customers have a much bigger gap between expectations of service and the delivery of service than the managers. This research provides evidence that a service problem exists in advertising agency settings in Taiwan as well as a mechanism for identifying and measuring the extent of the problem. In addition, the consortium based advertising agencies had a different market orientation than the matrix or integrated organizations studied. Consortium based organizations are more likely to have a competitor orientation while matrix and integrated organizations are more likely to have a customer orientation. In addition, market orientation impacts attitudes and approaches to service quality.
