Genealogie apollinského a dionýského principu / The Geneaology of the Apollinian and Dioynisian Principle

Soška, Bernard January 2020 (has links)
This work is focused on the work The Birth of Tragedy by Friedrich Nietzsche. The aim of this work is an attempt to reveal the origin of the concept of the apollinian and dionysian principle. We assume that Nietzsche conceals his true sources in the Birth of Tragedy from the reader. However, in this work, based on numerous clues from the primary text, we show that both the Dionysian and the Apollonian principle derives from the German Romantic tradition of the first half of the 19th century. In this thesis we prove this statement on many examples of authentic sources which Nietzsche has demonstrably worked with. The main "discovery" of the work lies in the historical contextualization of the formation of both principles within the conflict between Romanticism and Classicism concerning the true nature of Greek culture.

Le dieu Rašap dans le monde ouest-sémitique. Étude d’une figure divine, de ses interprétations et de la diffusion de son culte / The god Rašap in the West Semitic World. Study of a Divine Figure, his Interpretations and the Propagation of his Cult

Daccache, Jimmy 18 December 2013 (has links)
The analysis of the personality of the West Semitic god Rašap allows us to follow the evolution of its divine figure. His cult has known a large diffusion into the Levant and up to Egypt. It first appeared in the third millennium Ebla and extinguished at the end of the first millennium. The last occurrence of his name appears in a Palmyrene inscription dating from the year 6 B. C. Rašap was the master of military activities and responsible of widespread diseases. These particular qualities ensured his unbroken existence, without major disruption, maintained by conflicts between realms, thus causing contagious and epidemic diseases. Unlike plentiful textual Egyptian sources, Semitic documentation seems rather stingy with information and description of Rašap’s characteristics. Nevertheless, his relation with different deities, in particular Nergal at the 3rd and the 2nd Millennium in a Syrian context, and Apollo in Cyprus classical era, helps to define and outline Rašap’s personality. His name appears as well in the biblical texts, accompanied with other divine names, such as Bārād, Qeteb and Deber. Even if the biblical verses reveal the warrior and dreadful side of the so-called Rešep, his divine aspect fades away, to become afterwards a simple noun, as it is proved in the book of Ben Sirah. A rich Oriental and Egyptian iconographical documentation (reliefs, statues, seals, amulets) completes the textual sources and confirms their interpretation.

La vie religieuse des Cyclades de l’HR IIIC à la fin de la période archaïque / Religious life of Cyclades of the HR IIIC at the end of the archaic period

Mermoz, Julien 16 April 2010 (has links)
The topic of our thesis is the history of the sanctuaries, and the evolution of the worships and mythology in the transition, which leads end of the Mycenaean world to classical Greece. Our first part (pp. 13-445) makes up of a continuation of monographs recalling the changes, which affect the settlements and the worship places of the various islands of the archipelago between XIIe to VIe Century B.C. The second part (pp. 446-558) contains a test of synthesis and an interpretation of the data presented before. More exactly, a reflection on the mechanisms of recombining of the religious heritage of the Bronze Age, which take part in the definition of archaic insulars pantheons. The third part (pp. 559-628) is an assai of religious anthropology, in which the concept of creation in the mythology of Cyclades is examined, in the search of an islander imaginary. The first chapter starts with the analysis and the interpretation of the Cosmogony of Pherekydes of Syros. The second chapter aims at highlighting how the topics symbolic systems specific to the system of Pherekydes are also found declined in the other regional myths and find their origin in the local agrarian worships oldest.

It has been especially aimed at applying the concept of the noble superior being described by Nietzsche, the ubermensch, to the hero s ontological nature, Augusto Matraga. Nietzsche s postulates of the will to power, the elements suggested of the trial between Dionysus and Apollo and the ascetic ideal, will be especially relevant to this work, which intends to establish until what point the hero can be conceived as a good ascetic person, in so far as his noble ontological nature trespass the Christian morality, bringing him closer to the man who, according to Nietzsche, is beyond good and evil. Some Heideggerian concepts will also be relevant in order to reinforce the idea that the judgment created about Matraga is just an appearance that does not contemplate his essential Being, contributing to veil his real tragic-ontological valour, what implies that the aesthetic power of the short has been under valued / O presente trabalho tem como objetivo comparar a filosofia de Friedrich Nietzsche (1844-1900) e o conto de Jo?o Guimar?es Rosa (1908-1967), A hora e vez de Augusto Matraga (1946), no intuito de revelar a possibilidade da aplica??o da filosofia nieztscheana para expandir o valor est?tico do conto e possibilitar a compreens?o do protagonista, Augusto Matraga, como o prot?tipo do ser superior nobre descrito por Nietzsche, o ubermensch.

Beyond the realm of the polyhedral model : combining speculative program parallelization with polyhedral compilation / Au-delà des limites du modèle polyédrique : l'alliage de la parallélisation spéculative de programmes avec la compilation polyédrique

Sukumaran Rajam, Aravind 05 November 2015 (has links)
In this thesis, we present our contributions to APOLLO (Automatic speculative POLyhedral Loop Optimizer), which is an automated compiler combining Thread Level Speculation (TLS) and the polyhedral model to optimize codes on the fly. By doing partial instrumentation at runtime, and subjecting it to interpolation, Apollo is able to construct a speculative polyhedral model dynamically. The speculative model is then passed to Pluto -a static polyhedral scheduler-. Apollo then selects one of the statically generated code optimization skeletons and instantiates it. The runtime continuously monitors the code for any dependence violation in a decentralized manner. Another important contribution of this thesis is our extension of the polyhedral model to codes exhibiting a non linear behavior. Thanks to the dynamic and speculative context offered by Apollo, non-linear behaviors are either modeled using linear regression hyperplanes forming tubes, or using ranges of reached values. Our approach enables the application of polyhedral transformations to non-linear codes thanks to an hybrid centralized-decentralized speculation verification system
