The theoretical part of the diploma thesis deals with the main aspects of financial analysis, especially with horizontal and vertical analysis of absolute values, financial ratios, new valuation models and bankruptcy prediction models. The following part concentrates on the company Crocodille ČR, spol. s r.o. using the theoretical approaches mentioned above. It focuses on trend analysis, the calculation of Weighted Average Cost of Capital and Economic Value Added as well as industry comparative analysis. The final recommendations regarding e.g. the sensitivity analysis of company indebtedness are included in the last chapter.

This thesis is focused on estimation of general economical situation of the firm Oděvní podnik, a.s. from year 2003 to 2009. The thesis is divided into two main parts. In first part the methodology is defined. Second part evaluates the company through the use of methods, which are defined in first part. The main methods I used are ratio analysis and analysis of absolute indicators. One part of this thesis is focused on application of bankruptcy and creditworthy models. The aim was to find out if this models are able to predict the bad financial situation, in which the company at present is.

The goal of this Master's Thesis is estimation of financial situation of company R. JELÍNEK a.s. At the start of the thesis there is theoretical part describing methods of financial analysis, ratio analysis and bankruptcy and credibility models. In practical part there is performed financial analysis of financial statements of the company for last eight years. First, there is conducted horizontal and vertical analysis, then ratio analysis and bankruptcy and credibility models. In conclusion part there is estimation of the company on basis of conducted analyses and comparison of results of classical financial analysis with results of bankruptcy and credibility models.

The aim of the thesis is to generally approach the financial analysis with focus on the models of summary assessment of a company (i.e. bankruptcy models and creditworthy models). In the practical part the financial analysis of the company Severočeská energetika, a.s., was performed for the period 2001 - 2006 by means of horizontal and vertical analysis of accounting statements, by means of ratio indicators and bankruptcy and creditworthy models including comparison of the results of the individual methods used.

This thesis is divided into two main parts-theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part I occupy myself with the essence of the financial analysis, methods of the financial analysis, bankruptcy models, models of financial standing and methods of intercompany comparison. The practical part is concentrated on the processing of the financial analysis of dm-drogerie markt, s. r. o. in the years 2008-2010 and on the comparison with competitors in the same branch-ROSSMANN, spol. s r. o. and SCHLECKER, a. s. in the same period. For the comparison I used ratio indicators, bankruptcy models (Altman Z-score, IN95), financial standing models (Kralicek Quick Test, Aspect Global Rating)), method of sequence, spider analysis. At the conclusion I evaluate all three companies with respect to their financial situation and with respect to their position on the drugstore market.

Thesis deals with complex process of creation of new bankruptcy model for predicting business failure, while this process involves selection of quality sample, verification of classification accuracy of already existing bankruptcy models, profile analysis and finally the derivation of specific equation of bankruptcy model. The derivation is performed by using two selected statistical methods, discriminant analysis and logistic regression. Two bankruptcy models Bürger's index DA12 and Bürger's index LR12 were derived by using the mentioned statistical methods. The new models distinct advantage is, unlike already existing and renowned bankruptcy models, that they are focused on classification of micro and small enterprises in terms of Czech Republic, while classification accuracy one year before failure is by individual models 74.8 % and 81.87 %. Derived models have clear interpretation (no grey zone) and easy calculation, which brings a possibility for micro and small entrepreneurs to check their business partners in terms of failure prediction.

This dissertation deals with theme: Aggregate measures of companies´ financial positions and their utilization. This work is divided into five parts: importence of classification company´s financial position, systems of indexes in company´s practice, site and bankruptcy indexes - merits and deficiencies, indexes of financial health use in operational programme and concrete analyses of firm´s financial position by chosen models. First part deals with importance of financial position monitoring and gives description of financial analysis, it´s usage and user. Second part displays types of indexes system, which are used in practice. Third part characterizes site and bankruptcy index and apprise of chosen models in more details. Final part contains process financial position analyses of firm Zemědělské služby Dynín, a. s by concrete methods.

The diploma thesis is focused on the financial health and the productivity of the company. The goal of this work is to assess the relation between the economic situation and the productivity. The first part deals with the theoretical knowledge, which is related with this issue. The Agricultural cooperative Čechtice has been chosen for the practical part. The main activity of this company is the plant and animal production. The analysed period is 2005-2011. The Financial analysis was performed. The bankruptcy and financial standing models were used. The financial health is calculated by the methodology of the State Agricultural Intervention Fund. The thesis focosus on the productivity of labor and the productivity of capital of the selected company and deals with comparison of the productivity and the financial health. At the end of this work the results and the finding are summarized.

The aim of my thesis was to characterize and analyze chosen aspects of the internal environment of a particular company with an emphasis on financial analysis and to propose possible changes. Fronius Czech Republic Ltd. seeks to further expand its branches. Another branch has been opened in Ostrava. This branch started its operations officially on the 19th May 2011. A positive fact is that all managers of Fronius Czech Republic s.r.o. completed the Management Skills course. The main objective of thematic workshops was to put what managers routinely used in practice, into a broader framework and to show them other perspectives on the manager?s work. Another positive fact is that the Czech branch was the first sales subsidiary in the Fronius group which received ISO 9001:2008 certification, which verifies the quality of management system by the International Organisation for Standarisation (ISO). My thesis contains an analysis of absolute indicators, analysis of financial ratios, calculation of bankruptcy and creditworthy models, product range and services offered characterization, human resources management and SWOT analysis. In the field of financial analysis, the company achieved very good results both in the ratios and in evaluating bankruptcy and creditworthy models. The results were affected by a sharp decline in profit in 2009. I consider the evaluation of financial analysis along with a creditworthy and bankruptcy models in Fronius Company as the main contribution. The analysis in this scope has never been done before in the company. Another benefit is the formulation of a SWOT analysis, especially awareness of weaknesses and threats and the proposition of possible changes for future development.

The aim of the thesis entitled "Analysis of liquidity and cash flow" is to analyze liquidity and cash flow of the company. The theories then apply in terms of the selected company. The first part of the thesis contains theoretical knowledge about cash flow, liquidity and bankruptcy and credibility models. It describes what is cash flow and its division. Furthermore, the preparation methods of the statement of cash flows and what is the difference between cash flow and profit. The following is a division of liquidity in the current ratio, quick asset ratio and cash position ratio. This thesis also deals with the definition of the concept of net working capital. At the end of the theoretical part describes selected bankruptcy and credibility models with calculation procedures. The second part deals with the analysis of liquidity, cash flow and bankruptcy and credibility models. For this purpose were used statements of the selected company VESAS, s.r.o. (balance sheet and statement of profit and loss). On the basis of these statements was prepared the statement of cash flows which was supplemented by additional indicators containing cash flow. Furthermore, all three types of liquidity were calculated and subsequently concluded that if the company has problems with the payment obligations. Based on bankruptcy and credibility models was rated financial health of the company.
