An example is the deformation of witchcraft into sorcery by the Christian inquisitors’ speeches, and the meaning variations the word “Sabbath” assumes in its etymological biography. During the research, we have observed that imaginary beings come up as communicative ambivalences or double binds that give rise transcontextual leaps towards abductive inferences, the birth of novel ideas. However, the instrumental epistemology of today’s communicologies, predominantly deductivist and transmissive, does not allow us approaching such ambivalences without the risk of amputating them. That is why we have sought another epistemological experimentation, which we call oblique. The core problem is to understand how the oblique sight of communication epistemology gets constituted since the articulation of concepts and ideas, and the resonance between ideas and traces. Our hypotheses suggest: the imaginary operates as a propagation of concepts and a provocation of ideas; ideas and concepts cooperate for the continuity of their semiotic configurations and the making of imaginaries; the oblique epistemology gets constituted since synchrodiachronic tracking to give rise events among ideas and concepts. Our epistemological object is the flows of resonance present in ambivalences. We pick up as empirical object: how the media show the monsters in their synchrodiachronic variations (corpus: cyborgs, aliens, witches, vampires, werewolves, dragons and feng-shuis). The overall objective is to contribute to another epistemology to the scientific field of communication and the definition of its scientific object, assuming as specific targets: to examine the dynamic concept-trace-idea and the proposal of an oblique epistemology; to detect underlying meaning bonds in ambivalences; to infer political consequences of synchrodiachronic resonances. The theoretical foundation comes from the dialogism between the notions of abduction and synechism, by Charles Peirce, and double bind and deuterolearning, by Gregory Bateson. Our methodological strategy follows the semiotic archeology of tracking to reconstruct the potential bonds of meaning among ambivalences. This experiment takes part in the discussions on communication epistemology and new communicologies. It also offers in contribution an epistemological proposal as renewal disposition to know cross discursive territories as if we were drones in swirls, by considering different phenomena in their controversies and witnessing those heterogeneous moments in which we invent and discard inventions. Eventually, knowing how to interweave us in speeches already constituted by the feasibility of new constitutions of understanding / Esta tese parte de inquietações acerca dos modos de conhecimentos oriundos dos processos comunicacionais mediativos e interativos, bem como da configuração visual de seres imaginários: exemplo disso é a deformação da bruxaria em feitiçaria pelos discursos pejorativos dos inquisidores cristãos, e as variações de significação que a palavra “sabá” assume em seu percurso etimológico. Durante a pesquisa, observamos que seres imaginários se caracterizam como ambivalência comunicativa ou duplo vínculo interpretativo, ensejando saltos transcontextuais rumo a inferências abdutivas, ou seja, ao nascimento de novas ideias. Contudo, a vigente epistemologia instrumental da comunicação, de caráter predominantemente dedutivista e transmissivo, não nos dá condições de abordar tais ambivalências sem o risco de amputá-las; daí porque buscamos outra experimentação epistemológica, que chamamos de oblíqua. O problema central é compreender como se constitui o olhar oblíquo da epistemologia da comunicação, a partir da articulação entre conceitos e ideias, e da ressonância entre ideias e rastros. Nossas hipóteses sugerem: o imaginário opera como propagação de conceitos e provocação de ideias; ideias e conceitos cooperam entre si na continuidade de suas configurações semióticas e efetivação de imaginários; a epistemologia oblíqua se constitui como rastreamento sincrodiacrônico, a fim de ensejar acontecimentos entre sistemas de ideias e conceitos. Nosso objeto epistemológico são os fluxos de ressonância presentes nas ambivalências, e daí recortamos o objeto empírico: como as mídias mostram os monstros em variações sincrodiacrônicas (corpus de análise: ciborgues, alienígenas, bruxas, vampiros, lobisomens, fengchuis e dragões). O objetivo geral é contribuir com outra epistemologia ao campo científico da comunicação e à definição de seu objeto científico, assumindo como objetivos específicos: examinar a dinâmica conceito-rastro-ideia e a proposta de uma epistemologia oblíqua; detectar vínculos de significação ainda latentes nas ambivalências; inferir consequências políticas das ressonâncias sincrodiacrônicas. A fundamentação teórica se baseia no dialogismo entre os conceitos de abdução e sinequismo, de Charles Sanders Peirce, e de duplo vínculo e deuteroaprendizagem, de Gregory Bateson. A estratégia metodológica pauta-se na arqueologia semiótica do rastreamento, com vistas a reconstituir os potenciais vínculos significantes entre ambivalências. Tal experimento se insere nos debates sobre epistemologia da comunicação e novas comunicologias, e oferece em contribuição uma proposta epistemológica como disposição outra para sabermos cruzar territórios discursivos como se fôssemos drones em redemoinhos, considerando distintos fenômenos em suas controvérsias, e testemunhando aqueles momentos em que heterogeneamente inventamos e descartamos invenções; sabermos, enfim, entremear-nos em discursos já instituídos pela viabilização de novas constituições do entendimento

Per job isolation of temporary file storage in High Performance Computing (HPC) environments provide benefits in security, efficiency, and administration. HPC system administrators can use the mount_isolation Slurm task plugin to improve security by isolating temporary files where no isolation previously existed. The mount_isolation plugin also increases efficiency by removing obsolete temporary files immediately after each job terminates. This frees valuable disk space in the HPC environment to be used by other jobs. These two improvements reduce the amount of work system administrators must expend to ensure temporary files are removed in a timely manner.Previous temporary file removal solutions were removal on reboot, manual removal, or removal through a Slurm epilog script. The epilog script was the most effective of these, allowing files to be removed in a timely manner. However, HPC users can have multiple supercomputing jobs running concurrently. Temporary files generated by these concurrent or overlapping jobs are only deleted by the epilog script when all jobs run by that user on the compute node have completed. Even though the user may have only one running job, the temporary directory may still contain temporary files from many previously executed jobs, taking up valuable temporary storage on the compute node. The mount_isolation plugin isolates these temporary files on a per job basis allowing prompt removal of obsolete files regardless of job overlap.

Uppsatsen undersöker huruvida Hillary Rodham Clinton förkvinnligat sitt retoriska tillvägagångssätt eller om hennes retorik passar bättre in i den manliga senatorsrollen. Med hjälp av klusteranalys och neo-aristotelisk analysmetod, görs en jämförande analys för att söka efter skillnader och likheter i Clintons retoriska tillvägagångssätt. Materialet består av två tal som hölls vid det demokratiska konventet; 1996 (i egenskap av first lady) och 2008 (i egenskap av senator). Resultatet diskuteras sedan utifrån det genusrelaterade begreppet double bind. Analysresultatet visar på en utveckling i Clintons retorik, som generat ett stärkt primärt ethos. Clinton har, istället för att anpassa sitt språkbruk till ett mer kvinnligt, snarare anpassat sig till den nya rollen som senator.

The purpose of this thesis was to explore if there are emotional dilemmas in environmentally aware individuals, stemming from conflicts, resulting in their environmental personal transportation behaviour. This study uses the dialogic, relational interview method to explore possible conflicts in participants' personal transportation choices. The analysis seems to indicate that there is an apparent emotional tangle in individuals when confronted with possible double binds that put their environmental beliefs in conflict with other important aspects in their lives. The personal dilemmas they feel revolve around social pressures and their personal identities and leave them feeling conflicting emotions and strong amounts of guilt. The findings show the importance of reframing pro-environmental activities in ways that help negate the secondary injunctions that may people feel.

Para isso, será analisado de que maneira o paradoxo foi empregado pela filosofia e pelos estudos matemáticos em alguns momentos da história do conhecimento humano, sempre se opondo à Verdade e à Ciência. Assim, através de Deleuze, Stengers, Despret e Latour, outros modelos científicos e epistemológicos serão apresentados, contribuindo para uma melhor compreensão do pensamento de Bateson. / This study aims to discuss the concept of double bind, presented in the researches about paradox in human communication developed by the Palo Alto school, under the coordination of Gregory Bateson. For that, it will analyze in which manners the concept of paradox was used by philosophy and mathematics studies in some moments of the knowledge history, always opposing to Truth and Science. In this way, through Deleuze, Stengers, Despret and Latour, other scientific and epistemological designs will be presented, contributing to a better comprehension of Batesons ideas.

Thus, the proposal is to discuss what is the seeing and what are the ways of seeing, especially regarding images, and propose new possibilities to perceive and relate to the images. The look of blind photographers artists Teco Barbero, Pete Eckert and Evgen Bavcar is the starting point for articulating concepts, notes, contextualizing and question the oculocentrista beliefs that the world thinks the imagery as belonging only to the visionaries. The theoretical foundation is rooted in the study of the visual culture to think that corroborate the view, photography and reflection of visually impaired people enabled by the field, and discuss issues such as image, its production and some possible ways of seeing and relating to the images. The photograph is placed on debate to advance the reflection on the ways of seeing, perceiving, thinking and create the view beyond. And think the description and language as articulators for the visually impaired relationship with photography and images in general way. When entering the world of language, translation emerges as a possibility to reflect on ways of building the images for the visually impaired. The structure of the thinking process of the seeing, perceive and relate to the imaging, is woven from the poetics of 'see', ' review ' and ' transverse ' metaphor proposed by Manoel de Barros. Also relies, in the possibilities of translation, Flusser, entering the field of visual culture studies. The field research, observation and data collection was performed with a group of visually impaired and bachelors in travel photography Visual Literacy extension, Senac - SP, where students learn how to shoot and handle the camera, doing exercises to increase awareness, perception and imaging, as well as discussion and reflection on the photographic and image production. Research indicates, among other issues, that the seeing is not something unique of the eye and that it is built from the experiences, experiments, and especially the perceptions coming from the senses. The view is a construction that relies on vision, and is completed in sensations, memories and imagination. Seeking to expand the discussion on the ways of seeing, are listed the reports, processes and photographic works of Lelo Araújo, Ana Domingues and grandson Josiah. Analysis and interpretations that cover the production of these blind photographers are not woven, since the purpose of the research is to reflect upon the possibilities of seeing in its wealth of forms and manifestations, thus increasing the knowledge about the image. / A pesquisa intitulada Fotografia: conversa com imagens, entre a luz e as trevas, tem por objetivo responder à questão: O que é e como se dão os modos de ver? Desse modo, a proposta é problematizar o que é o ver e os modos de ver, principalmente no tocante às imagens fotográficas, e propor novas possibilidades para perceber e relacionar-se com as imagens. O olhar dos artistas fotógrafos cegos Teco Barbero, Pete Eckert e Evgen Bavcar é o ponto de partida para articular conceituações, apontamentos, problematizações equestionar a convicção oculocentrista que pensa o mundo imagético como pertencente apenas aos videntes. A fundamentação teórica tem raízes nos estudos da cultura visual que corroboram para pensar o ver, a fotografia e a reflexão dos deficientes visuais viabilizada pelo campo, e discutir questões como imagem, sua produção e alguns possíveis modos de ver e se relacionar com as imagens. A fotografia é colocada em debate para avançar nas reflexões referentes aos modos de ver, perceber, criar e pensar o ver que vai além. E pensa a descrição e a língua como elementos articuladores para a relação dos deficientes visuais com a fotografia e imagens de modo geral. Ao adentrar no universo da língua, a tradução surge como possibilidade para refletir sobre os modos de construção das imagens fotográficas pelos deficientes visuais. A estruturação desse processo de pensar o ver, perceber e se relacionar com as imagens, é tecida a partir da poética do 'ver', 'rever' e 'transver', metáfora proposta por Manoel de Barros. Apoia-se também, nas possibilidades da tradução, de Vilém Flusser, adentrando o campo de estudos da cultura visual. Apesquisa de campo, observação e coleta de dados foi realizada com um grupo formado por deficientes visuais e bacharéis em fotografia do curso de extensão Alfabetização Visual, SENAC-SP, onde os alunos aprendem a fotografar e manusear a câmera, fazem exercícios de sensibilização, percepção e criação de imagens, além de debates e reflexões sobre a produção fotográfica e imagética. A investigação aponta, dentre outras questões, que o ver não é algo exclusivo do olho e que ele é construído a partir das vivências, experiências e, principalmente, das percepções oriundas dos sentidos. O ver é uma construção que se apoia na visão, e que se completa nas sensações, memórias e imaginação. Buscando ampliar a discussão sobre os modos de ver são apresentados os relatos, processos e trabalhos fotográficos de Lelo Araújo, Ana Domingues e Josias Neto. Análises e interpretações que abarquem a produção destes fotógrafos cegos não são tecidas, pois o intuito da pesquisa é refletir a respeito das possibilidades do ver em sua riqueza de formas e manifestações, com isso, ampliar o conhecimento sobre a imagem.

This thesis deals with the modifications of the framework designed for DNS servers testing. Framework is developed by NIC.CZ association and is used primarily for testing the DNS server Knot DNS. The aim of this work are modifications of the framework that will allow simpler testing with this framework, such as: support for multiple implementations of DNS servers, parallel testing, components dummy server and box-in-the-middle, division into multiple components and overall modification of the existing framework. Introduction of thesis is dedicated to the authoritative DNS servers and to the foundations of testing. The remaining part of the thesis deals with the state of the existing framework and the state and testing of modified framework.

Tato práce se zabývá analýzou současných open source řešení pro zabezpečení DNS zón pomocí technologie DNSSEC. Na základě provedené rešerše je navržena a implementována nová knihovna pro použití na autoritativních DNS serverech. Cílem knihovny je zachovat výhody stávajících řešení a vyřešit jejich nedostatky. Součástí návrhu je i sada nástrojů pro správu politiky a klíčů. Funkčnost vytvořené knihovny je ukázána na jejím použití v serveru Knot DNS.

Cílem této práce je prozkoumat možnosti uložení DNS dat v LDAP databázi a jejich oboustranné synchronizace s DNS serverem s využitím standardních technologií, paralelizace a jednoduché rozšiřitelnosti o podporu různých DNS a LDAP serverů s různými DNS schématy. Práce dále popisuje různa schémata pro uložení dat v LDAP databázi a analyzuje problémy spojené se synchronizací a navrhuje jejich řešení. Výsledkem je prototyp synchronizační aplikace s doporučenými nastaveními pro DNS server a LDAP databázi, která je schopna efektivně synchronizovat DNS data.
