Studie av en medeltida husgrund : en analys av bronsfynd från husgrund 6, Västergarn, Gotland / An analysis of bronze from a medieval building-foundation

Olsson, Tobias January 2012 (has links)
This essay is an analysis of the objects made of bronze found in an excavation Västergarn parish, Gotland, in 2010, conducted by the University of Gotland. The studied material presented in this essay comes from contexts inside, as well as nearby the foundation of a medieval building which purpose is still not certain. The first purpose of this study is to present the bronze-objects found inside and nearby the foundation of house 6, and to see if there are any datable objects. There is also a discussion whether there has been any bronze-crafting in the area. The second purpose is to make a contextual analysis to see if there are any differences between the material found outside and inside of the building, and what conclusions can be made regarding the function and use of the building. A spatial analysis has also been made to distinguish any patterns of the distribution of material inside and around the house. The result of this essay is partly a presentation of the material, but also that there has occurred some bronze-crafting in the form of cutting metal sheets inside or near the foundation treated in this essay. There is no evidence for casting bronze near the house foundation. The frequency of finds from outside the foundation compared to the frequency of finds within the foundation is nearly quadruple, which is to be expected since there probably has been a wooden floor inside the house to prevent all but the tiniest objects from falling through. Objects that landed on the floor were cleaned out, just to land near the entrance of the building. The finds from within the building much resembles the finds from outside the building, and the distribution-patterns of the trench indicates that the entrance to the building probably was located near the north-west corner or near the south-east corner.Hopefully, this study contributes another piece to the great puzzle that is Västergarn.

Průmyslový areál s administrativní budovou / Industrial Park with Aministration Building

Krupa, Jakub January 2018 (has links)
This master thesis focuses on the design and elaboration of project documentation for the purpose of constructing Industrial park with administration building consisting of two parts, SO 01 – Administration building and SO 02 – Industrial building. The two objects are situated on the plot No. 715/1, in the cadastre unit Vrbno pod Pradědem located on an undeveloped land of the investor. The exit from the parking lot connects to the local traffic infrastructure. Public infrastructure leads in proximity to the land. The design of the construction respects local zoning plan. Project documentation was made in compliance with up-to-date requirements according to valid standards and regulations. The building is functionally divided into two objects, SO 01 and SO 02, which are operationally and structurally connected. Constructions of both objects are statically independent. The object SO 01, partially accessible to the public, is used for administrative tasks and staff facilities. Also, there is a sample room available to the public, gatehouse and warehouses. The object SO 02 is purposed for the production of plastic windows and solar panels. It mainly consists of areas used for production, but there is also an office for the master, a machine room for heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) and staff facilities. The object SO 01 is designed from a wall structural system from clay masonry, clay ceilings, strip foundation and a flat roof. The object SO 02 is designed as a full-metal prefabricated object with a saddle roof and foundation pads. The construction system of this object consists of steel columns. Plan dimensions of SO 01 are 25x14 metres. Building envelope is made from clay blocks, 440 mm in width, filled with mineral wool. Plan dimensions of SO 02 are 66,9x22,9 metres. Domov pro seniory / Senior house

Fikar, Matěj January 2014 (has links)
This thesis addresses building of a new home for seniors with a special care on the street Zahradni in Pilsen. The relevant estate lies on the compound of a former paper mill on the right bank of the Radbuza river near the Papirensky bridge. When the proposition for the building was being drafted, an extra focus was placed on the special care regime. This means continuous home and nursing care with medical oversight including a guaranteed care for patients with special needs, such as those suffering from dementia, Alzheimer's disease or those with psychiatric issues in a stabilized stage. The proposed capacity of the home for the Aged consists of 142 beds in three above-ground floors, which also contain lounges that double as canteens. The underground floor houses the kitchen whit catering equipments, which will only be used for this object, the main lounge, exercise and creative areas, as well as staff rooms including those of the management. This type of a facility is currently in great demand in the Czech Republic due to the insufficient capacity of similar social and health facilities.

Wrana, Lukáš January 2017 (has links)
The subject of this thesis is to create a project documentation of the design of new construction of fire station in Šumperk. The fire station is designed according to ČSN 73 5710 as a C type station that will be used by professional fire brigade of Olomouc district. The object is structurally divided into two parts - a masonry building, and a reinforced concrete frame. The administrative part of the building together with the base of the fire brigade, technical room, and a fire tower are designed as a masonry building made of Ytong cellular concrete units. One of the parts is designed as a two-level object, while the technical room and the fire tower are designed as a sigle-level object. The circumferential masonry is insulated by contact thermal insulation system. The floor construction is made of Spiroll prestressed floor slabs. The roof is designed as a warm flat roof. The garage is a single-level building with built-in structure of storerooms in part of the garage. The precast reinforced concrete frame is set on foundation pads and foundation sills. The horizontal and vertical supporting structure consists of reinforced concrete parts – columns, Spiroll floor slabs, floor girders, sway frames, purlins and small purlins. The whole object is covered by a warm flat roof. The external cladding consists of PUR isolating sanwich panels.
