Obchvat obce Ochoz u Brna / Bypass of the village Ochoz u Brna

Beneš, Petr January 2017 (has links)
The subject of the master´s thesis is designing a bypass of the village Ochoz u Brna. The bypass will by designed in four variations which will be compared to each other by several criterias. Then one variation will be chosen and designed in detail. The goal of the master´s thesis is reduction of the traffic intensity of the current road II/373 in Ochoz u Brna by redirecting transit traffic outside the village. This will lead to an increase of safety in the village.

Studie silnice I/69 Jasenná – Liptál / Road I/69 Jasenná – Liptál - Study

Masnicová, Alžbeta January 2017 (has links)
The subject of this thesis is the extension of an existing road I/69 in the section Jasenná - Liptál with the climbing line and to secure the transport service at bus stops along the road. The road I/69 between the villages of Liptál and Jasenná has high elevation and inconvenient directional and height parameters. The basic objective of the study is to improve and increase comfort in this section. The work is editing width arrangements and takes to account connections of tertiary roads to the road I/69. In this work were created two variants with a width arrangement 12.5 and 13.5 meters.

Designing multimodal public transport networks using metaheuristics

Fletterman, Manuel 16 January 2009 (has links)
The public transport system in South Africa is in a precarious state, capturing no more than 50% of the passenger market. The three public transport modes that are currently utilized—train, bus, and minibus-taxi—are competing for market share instead of complementing one another. Furthermore, most public transport networks have not been properly redesigned over the past three decades. Improvements were initiated reactively in the past: transit stops and routes were added or removed from the network when demand fluctuated. This reactive process has diminished the confidence of commuters in the public transport networks, forcing commuters to use private transport. A proactive redesign method is needed—one that includes all the modes of public transport, and anticipates an increase in demand and rapid development in geographic areas, while ensuring good accessibility to the network. Current network design models do not include multiple modes of public transport, and are based on the geographical layout of developed cities and their particularities, which makes them unsuitable for the South African environment with its unique land use disparities. This dissertation proposes a multimodal network design model that is capable of designing real world and large scale networks for the South African metropolitan areas. The City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality (CTMM) transport network area was used to develop and test the model, which consists of four components. The Geographic Information System (GIS) component has a central role in storing, manipulating, and exchanging the geographic data within the model. For the GIS the appropriate input data is identified, and a design for the geo-database is proposed. The Population Generation Algorithm (PGA) component translates the demographic data into point data representing the transit demand in the study area. The Bus Stop Placement Algorithm (BSPA) component is a metaheuristic that searches for near-optimal solutions for the placement of bus stops in the study area. A novel solution approach proposed in this dissertation uses geographic data of commuters to evaluate the bus stop placement in the study area. The Multimodal Network Design Algorithm (MNDA) component also employs a metaheuristic, enabling the design of near-optimal multimodal networks. The addition of multiple modes to the Transit Network Design Problem (TNDP) is also a novel and significant contribution. The two metaheuristic components are first tested on a test network, and subjected to a comprehensive sensitivity analysis. After identifying suitable parameter values and algorithm settings, the components are applied to the entire CTMM. / Dissertation (MSc)--University of Pretoria, 2009. / Industrial and Systems Engineering / unrestricted

Akzeptanz von Fernbushaltestellen in Routennähe mit direkter Anbindung an das Netz des ÖPNV – Eine Conjoint - Analyse

Hambrock, Jana-Christina 09 October 2017 (has links) (PDF)
Since the liberalisation in 2013, the amount of intercity bus users is continuously increasing. The concept of offering a large variety in routes as well as attractive pricing, helps intercity buses to a great popularity. Moreover, this option of traveling impresses with its eco-friendliness. Due to the location of the bus stops, the traveling time in intercity busses cannot keep up with the one of comparable competitors. Within this thesis, a selective conjoint analysis is conducted. The goal is to gain an insight on the option of potential customers towards bus stops within the city compared to their view of bus stops close to the traveling route. The decision is primarily based on travel costs and travel time whereas socioeconomic factors are only considered briefly. Concluding, bus stops close to the traveling route are an alternative choice for as long as they are located within reach of local public transportation.

Rekonstrukce silnice II/605 Holoubkov – Rokycany (Borek) / Reconstruction of road II/605 Holoubkov - Rokycany (Borek)

Němcová, Klára January 2020 (has links)
The topic of the master’s thesis is reconstruction of the the road II/605 between municipality of Holoubkov and municipality of Rokycany (Borek) including local adjustments of the road in urban area of municipality of Svojkovice. The reasons for this reconstruction are insufficient parameters of current condition of the road. In Svojkovice are solved adjustments of crossroads, bus stops, parking bays, pavements and bicycle paths.

Variantní řešení křižovatky u obce Přestanov / Design of Crossroad Near Přestanov

Nitková, Jana January 2015 (has links)
The main objective of the thesis is to design a roundabout in the depth of anurbanistic study. The concerned crossroad is found in a village of Prestanov where the roads I/13 and II/253 intersecting. The goal of a supposed reconstruction is to change the traffic scheme of the current crossroad to design a roundabout. The change would provide the traffic flow going from the minor road II/253 with free-flowing traffic and better safety issues. Three new versions of the crossroad were designed. The spiral type roundabout is pursued further to the final design. The drawings and the technical report are also included. On top of that, the thesis contains an engineering geology survey and a road capacity assessment.
