L'identification nationale dans la France contemporaine. Les formes de l'investissement symbolique dans l'idée de nation / The national identification in contemporary France. The forms of the symbolic investment in the idea of nationCalba, Romain 05 December 2013 (has links)
This study is focused on the analysis of the modellings of the national imagination in contemporary France. With the globalization and its multiple dimensions, the national existence seems to be taken in this alternative: on one hand a standardization in defiance of the national "cultures", and on the other hand an exacerbation of the national cultural peculiarities, the national shape being associated with a positive value in a world in "crisis". Contrary to the alternative between a law of succession of the groups and an essentialisation of an inflexible national reality, this study approaches the national question by the study of contemporary contents of the national imagination symbolic forms. From the observation of the contemporary modulations of their contents, this study is based on the observation of concrete operations of national representation and their integration in contexts of the national "reality" statement. At first, the studyof nation's words approaches the construction of the national shape as sociological object and the contemporary modalities of the national shape statement, particularly the investments around the national identity. Then, from the image as a symbolic shape of social groups statement, we studied a particular materiality of the national imagination, the national philatelic production, which allows to observe the modulations of the nation's social image. Finally, the empirical study of citizenship ceremonies allows to observe the contemporary contents and borders of the national identification from its application.

Nikita I. Tolstoj a moskevská etnolingvistická škola v evropském a českém kontextu (základní charakteristika a překlad textů / Nikita I. Tolstoy and Moscow school of ethnolinguistics (characteristics and translations)Bauerová, Jana January 2012 (has links)
This thesis comprises translations of five articles by the Russian ethnolinguist Nikita Iljich Tolstoy, some of which deal with the theory of the ethnolinguistic approach to language and the Slavic culture and others demonstrate a practical application of such an approach and such methods on the traditional Slavic culture. They present this approach as a continuous development of linguistic research which draws on the rich tradition and at the same time transcends its past and enriches it with new points of view. This also constitutes a unique way of preserving the legacy of our ancestors while simultaneously showing it in a new light. Aside from the translations the present thesis also includes an introductory study dealing with general characteristics of ethnolinguistics, its goals, subject, methods, and various schools of thought. In addition, chapters are included introducing the scientific work of N. I. Tolstoy and other members of the Moscow School of Ethnolinguistics. Present are also notes and comments on the translation, clarifying terms from the Russian cultural tradition not necessarily familiar in the Czech environment and explaining certain terms that may be difficult to translate.

The nineteenth century in Spanish America exhibits a true saga of funeral ceremonies intended to exalt the role of great men in the configuration of the symbolic arsenal which contributed to molding the foundational mythology of nation-states. The Republican state language turned the association between hero, national body and posterity into a resource of the affirmation of national authority and social and political cohesion. Converted into keystones in the building of the national pantheon, State funerals carried out during the 19th century in the majority of the Spanish American republics became formidable instruments of political and cultural construction. Along these lines, the presen tarticle is occupied with contextualizing the slow process of placing José de San Martín as an Argentine national hero within the coordinates of 19th century European and Spanish American funerary rituals.

Rekontextualizace a komodifikace folklorní tradice. / Phenomenon of "bespoke bonnet ceremony" in contemporary Slovakia. Recontextualisation and commodification of folk tradition.Dvoekonko, Michaela January 2018 (has links)
At present, we notice an increased interest in folklore traditions and effort to put them to various spheres of everyday life. These 'revitalizing' efforts can be seen, for example, in the wedding ceremonies. The goal of this thesis is to analyze this tendency in modern weddings in Slovakia, with an emphasis on the highlight of the wedding - putting off head wreath and bonnet wedding ceremony. Nowadays it's common to commission a folk ensemble for these events. Even though the phenomena of bonnet wedding ceremony is considered to be a modern tradition that is based on certain historical bonds this revitalization process causes some semantic shifts, change of its functions that results in its different form. The focus of this thesis is aimed towards these changes - for example, the change of the function of traditional folk clothing, decontextual shift from the ritual to theatralization, the influence of shifts for participants and others involved, the commodification and the commercialization of the ceremony. The thesis also analyzes the relations between the folklore and folklorism, 'authentical' and stylized folklore and the general idea of the tradition as well as its contemporary social and cultural function. Keywords Bonnet wedding ceremony, wedding, ritual, folk ensemble, scenic folklore,...

Understanding the Sunrise Ceremony as a repository of cultural traditions and values: an exploration of ritual as a means for studying the health of the Apache peopleWitt, Michelle Pambrun, Witt, Michelle Pambrun January 1996 (has links)
The intent of this exploratory study was to discover the cultural significance of an Apache ritual, the Sunrise Ceremony, as it relates to the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of the Apache individual, family, and community at large. The ethnographic methodology was used to gather data because this design provided the most systematic and flexible process to generate the widest range of information necessary for describing this culture from the native's
point of view. Four culturally relevant domains were developed and analyzed to reveal five cultural themes, including "It's my strength," "Women are the core of living here," "It Tells You the Story of the Beginning," and "Change is Sad--Alcohol is Bad." The findings suggest that because the Sunrise Ceremony is central to the Apache way of life, its values and culture, an understanding of the Sunrise Ceremony can assist in the development of accurate nursing assessments and successful interventions to improve the collective health and well being of the Apache people. Additionally, recommendations for nursing practice and further research are proposed.

互動體驗設計於儀式展演之探究-以政治大學畢業典禮薪火相傳為例 / Interactive Experience Design in Ceremony-A case study of passing the flame in National Chengchi University commencement ceremony曾怡甄, Tseng, Yi Jen Unknown Date (has links)
Ceremony is one of the most important experiences in human society. Although the principles and core elements may remain the same, styles of ceremonies and technologies used in the ceremonies have been developed as time progress and values change.
The purpose of this study was to discuss the transformation and difference between traditional ceremony and interactive media-introduced ceremony by a case study of passing the flame in National Chengchi University commencement ceremony. This study covers below three topics:
1. By utilizing experience design as framework and the narrative in ceremony as the core, preparing digital content that combines interaction design and exhibition display technology, establishing interactive media and environment, an interactive ceremony experience was re-curated, prepared, and executed.
2. Discussion of transformation and difference between interactive ceremony experience and traditional ceremony from views of performers, active participants, passive participants, and executors.
3. Key factors of application of interactive experience design in ceremony curation and execution.
After field observations, digital content analysis, and interviews with some participants, the results revealed that real-time interactive experiences in ceremony can bring more sense of participation and belonging than used to. Despite most of participants preferred just watching the performance, participants could get more connection from exhibition content that contributed by themselves. Therefore, the memory created at the moment could bring stronger feelings and experience and not letting the ceremony become a mere formality.

Museo arqueológico de la cultura Nasca / Archaeological museum of Nasca cultureCruces Susaya, Malú Yurema 22 July 2021 (has links)
The thesis topic was chosen mainly to improve the enhancement of the ceremonial center of Cahuachi, said center has an amplitude of 25 km2 which is why it is considered the largest theocratic mud capital in the world, located in the city of Nasca, Ica . It also seeks to encourage the study of the Nasca culture, of which there are currently no curricula and restoration.
The project takes as conceptual starting point the same adaptation that the Nascas sought when they carried out their architectural works taking advantage of the slopes of the hills, this conceptual heading is represented in the height of the building being less than that of the ceremonial center, the finish of the facade which manages to blend in with the surroundings and in the visuals that are obtained along the route of the museum which exalt the ceremonial center and do not detract from prominence.
To achieve an efficient design, a research work was carried out obtaining typological references and urban parameters, in addition to a field investigation with the national examples closest to the intervention area / Tesis
