Pasitelkdami reikiamas formas bei metodus, ikimokyklinių ugdymo įstaigų pedagogai turi išmokti pažinti tėvus kaip lygiaverčius vaikų ugdymo partnerius, įtrauktų juos į edukacinį procesą, kas leistų sumažinti pedagogų ir tėvų „susvetimėjimo zoną“, padėtų geriau užtikrinti vaikų ugdymą(si), tame tarpe plėtojant vaikų asmenines bei socialines kompetencijas. Tyrimo objektas. Šeimos ir ikimokyklinės ugdymo institucijos bendradarbiavimas. Tyrimo tikslas. Išsiaiškinti šeimos ir ikimokyklinės ugdymo institucijos bendradarbiavimo vyksmą ugdant vaikų socialines ir asmenines kompetencijas. Darbo tikslas yra detalizuojamas uždaviniais, lėmusiais tokią darbo struktūrą: pradžioje buvo aptarta šeimos ir ikimokyklinės ugdymo institucijos reikšmė vaiko gyvenime; toliau – šių institucijų bendradarbiavimo svarba vaikų ugdymo(si) procese, galiausiai pateikta jų bendradarbiavimo turinio, formų bei metodų įvairovė, ugdant vaikų asmenines, socialines kompetencijas; ištintas šeimos ir ikimokyklinės ugdymo įstaigos pedagogų požiūris į abiejų šių institucijų bendradarbiavimą ugdant vaikus bei jų asmenines, socialines kompetencijas. This definetely would reduce the „zone of allienation“, help to improve children education. At the same such children features as personal and social competences would be cultivated. The subject of this research is the collaboration of family and pre-primary institution. The aim is to sort out the development of the family and pre-primary institution‘s collaboration while cultivating children social and personal competences. The aim is revealed through the examples, and special tasks, which determined the following structure of the research: at first we defined the meaning of the family and pre-primary institution in the life of a child; secondly, the importance of the above mentioned institutions‘ collaboration was shown; and at last, the diversity of the institutions‘ collaboration contents, forms and methods was indicated while developing children personal and social competences; furthermore, the model of teachers‘ point of view towards the collaboration of those institutions was analysed. Pastaruoju metu vis labiau ryškėja švietimo vadybos elementų taikymo būtinybė ikimokyklinio ugdymo įstaigų veikloje. Kaip reikalauja Lietuvos Respublikos švietimo įstatymas, ypatingai svarbus švietimo vadybos žinių, mokėjimų bei įgūdžių įvaldymas. Vadovavimas švietimo įstaigai – ne tik tikslų, uždavinių numatymas, darbo planavimas ir organizavimas, bet ir techninių, socialinių, pedagoginių, psichologinių, biologinių procesų tikslingas nukreipimas, siekiant optimalių rezultatų, kartu atsižvelgiant į tų procesų ypatumus ir dėsningumus. Norėdami tyrinėti vadovavimo svarbą ikimokyklinio ugdymo įstaigoje nutarta paanalizuoti, kaip ikimokyklinių įstaigų vadovai organizuoja darbą savo vadovaujamose įstaigose, kokie vadybiniai ypatumai jose, kokiais vadovavimo stiliais vadovaujasi dirbant administracinį darbą, ir kokią įtaką vadovavimo stilius turi ikimokyklinės švietimo įstaigos vadovo bendradarbiavimui su bendruomenės nariais. As stated in the Law on Education of the Republic of Lithuania, it is crucial to master the knowledge, skills and abilities of education management. Managing an educational institution is not limited to setting out the goals and objectives, planning and organizing work, but also includes purposeful targeting of technical, social, pedagogical, psychological and biological processes seeking optimal results, while taking into account the peculiarities of these processes. The thesis "The relation of children to foreign language education" deals with the relation of pupils learning foreign languages in selected South Bohemian primary schools. The theoretical part deals with the conception of teaching foreign languages in the first Elementary schools in the Czech Republic, participants in the learning process and motivation in language education and learning foreign languages in kindergartens. The practical part is devoted to the questionnaire research, which determines the relation of pupils to learn foreign languages and their attitudes to the importance of foreign language knowledge. The questionnaires were designed for students from 5th classes in ten elementary schools in South Bohemia.

Support strategies by principals to enhance job satisfaction amongst male teachers in the Ehlanzeni School District, Mpumalanga

The researcher became interested in the topic regarding job satisfaction amongst male teachers when he attended his university reunion, more than 40% of the male teachers who graduated with a degree in education left the education system within 5 years. After making contact with some of the graduates, the researcher found that all of them left the education system because they were not satisfied within their work environment; hence, the researcher became interested in the topic. The most rewarding aspect of being a teacher is the joy of being in the classroom with learners and seeing them progress. However, what if there is no progression, but only statistics indicating failure to educate learners, an education system in crisis and educators without proper qualifications? A shortage of teachers, increasing learner enrolment and work overload are enough to create a highly stressful profession. The learning environment of a school depends on teachers, because they are in the frontline and directly involved with the transfer of knowledge. Teachers have a direct impact on a school’s success. Therefore, it is important that principals identify ways to support their staff in order to promote job satisfaction and motivation. The aim of this study is to investigate, from an educational management perspective, the factors that influence job satisfaction amongst male teachers in schools in the Ehlanzeni school district, Mpumalanga. The sequential explanatory mixed-method approach is used during this study; the quantitative phase investigated factors affecting job satisfaction amongst male teachers by means of distributing 200 Likert-scale questionnaires amongst male teachers in the Ehlanzeni school district. Structured interviews is being scheduled with twelve school principals (three rural primary school principals, three former Model-C primary school principals, three rural secondary school principals and three former Model-c secondary school principals) in the Ehlanzeni school district in order to determine the cause and effect of factors affecting the job satisfaction amongst male teachers. / Educational Leadership and Management / M.
