Revealing the senses of educational practicals of these families, it has been, firstly, entering their worlds, contextualize their living experiences, and in order to do that, it has been important and revealing get to know their particulars, because the intention of this research has not been only to generalize the senses of the familiar educational practicals. The sense can be comprehended in this work, like the path where these practicals point, it means, the direction of the configured practicals from the narrative obtained from the interviewed families. It s important to remember that, the sense appear according to the situation, which means, within space and time, within a determined context or season, therefore what has emerged from this research refers to investigation that has taken place. This is an existential qualitative phenomenological research. As part of this study we have two families from EMEF s students of the neighborhood. These two families have taken two meetings where reflexive interviews were made, according to Szymanki proposal, besides the testimonies taken in group meetings. The data analysis was inspired on the Existential Phenomenology that was applied to get the educational practicals from their speeches. The results achieved point that the educational practicals of the studied families reveal the sense of being a father and a mother and take the role of being the educators of their own children, leading them to a better life. We haven t noticed a dialogic practical, but a command respect-obedience relationship, although this image of a educator family, committed in their children education, most of the times do not adequate to the concept that some educators have about lower-class families / O presente estudo procurou desvelar e compreender sentidos de práticas educativas de famílias moradoras de um bairro de baixa renda no município de São Paulo. Desvelar sentidos de práticas educativas dessas famílias foi primeiramente adentrar em seus mundos, contextualizar suas vivências e para isso foi importante e relevante conhecer e considerar suas peculiaridades, pois a intenção dessa pesquisa não foi generalizar os sentidos de práticas educativas familiares. O sentido é compreendido nesse trabalho, como o caminho para onde apontam tais práticas, ou seja, o rumo e a direção das práticas configuradas a partir das narrativas obtidas pelas entrevistas com essas famílias. É importante lembrar que sentido dá-se em situação, isto é, num espaço e tempo, num determinado contexto ou época, portanto o que emergiu nesse trabalho foi referido à investigação que aqui se realizou. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa de base fenomenológica existencial. Participaram do estudo duas famílias de alunos de uma EMEF da região onde moram. Com essas famílias foram feitos dois encontros para a realização de entrevistas reflexivas, segundo a proposta de Szymanski, além dos depoimentos coletados em reuniões coletivas. A análise dos dados inspirou-se na Fenomenologia Existencial de cunho hermenêutico para se desvelar os sentidos das práticas educativas no discurso dessas famílias. Os resultados alcançados apontam que as práticas educativas das famílias estudadas revelam um sentido que expressa a responsabilidade de ser pai e mãe e de assumirem o papel de educadores de seus filhos, instrumentando-os para uma vida melhor. Não observamos uma prática dialógica, mas de imposição e obediência, porém essa imagem de família educadora e comprometida na educação dos filhos, muitas vezes não se adequa ao conceito que alguns educadores têm sobre as famílias de classes populares

Nesta busca, procurou -se desvendar a influência dos meios de comunicação nas escolhas e aspirações no cotidiano dessas pessoas que vivem em situação de risco social na metrópole paulistana. O entendimento da construção de identidades recorreu às teorias que exploram as relações sociais na contemporaneidade, e também na observação participante da autora durante sua vivência e trajetos pelos metrôs de São Paulo-SP. São jovens os sujeitos desta pesquisa, conhecidos popularmente como manos, e é assim que eles se autodenominam e se reconhecem mutuamente. O contexto social em que vivem é marcado pela desigualdade social e econômica e, geralmente, estão envolvidos ou expostos ao universo da criminalidade. As atividades recorrentes ao universo da cultur a tais como a música, a dança e o grafite, assim como as outras vias que encontram para estabelecer participação social, formam os pilares em que eles se apóiam para a construção de sua identidade. Essas pessoas, em sua maior parte, moradores dos bairros p opulares e da periferia, quando envolvidos no laço coletivo para a superação da discriminação, têm seu cotidiano fortalecido por um conjunto de elementos que podem despontar em uma cultura construída como reação aos processos de exclusão social. Identidade e resistência convergem em uma ambígua formação de consciência crítica. A incitação ao consumo e a sedutora mídia tradicional e comercial influenciam esses jovens na construção de identificações. Avaliar e questionar medidas políticas para trazer melhores condições... / The evaluation of the aspects of the reality of a determined young people segment of the popular classes, with almost no access to legalized work - situation that makes them susceptible to commit infractions - and its relation with the media have motivated the objective of this work while a discovery process. This search aimed at unmasking the influence of the media in the aspirations and choices taken by those who live in a situation of social risk in the city of São Paulo. The understanding of the construction of the identities was based on the theories that explore contemporary social relations, and also on the scenes observed by the author during the time she spent on the subways of the city. The subjects of this research are young, popularly known as “manos”, and that is how they name themselves. Their social context is marked by social and economic inequality, and they are often involved in crime or exposed to it. Culture-related activities, such as music, dance and graffiti, as well as the ways they find to establish some social participation, form them pillars over which they build their identity. These people, mostly inhabitants of the popular quarters and the periphery, when involved in a collective flow t o overcome discrimination, have their daily life fortified by a set of elements that can result in a culture constructed as a reaction to the social exclusion process. Identity and resistance converge in an ambiguous formation of critical conscience. The i ncitation to the consumption and the seductive traditional and commercial media influence the youth in the construction of identifications. Evaluating and questioning political measures to achieve better conditions for society in general demand, above al l, to know the reality of a population that already is not on edge of society anymore, but in the central spot of social problems.

Inicialmente nossa análise se baseia num enfoque sócio-histórico-conceitual, uma vez que refletimos sobre a origem e evolução da cidadania numa perspectiva histórica, tanto no âmbito mundial quanto nacional. Ademais, apresentamos, laconicamente, alguns aspectos da cidade onde efetuamos o trabalho de campo e posteriormente analisamos o conceito de cidadania. Em seguida, nossa abordagem se consubstanciou em perquirir sobre as dificuldades e possibilidades de existência da cidadania, no espaço público e privado, para famílias de classes populares. Para tanto, baseamo-nos em depoimentos e nas condições sociais de seis famílias moradoras num bairro periférico da cidade de Presidente Prudente. O presente estudo tem como fio condutor a análise da ideologia relacional que faz parte da cultura popular - e à sobrevivência material dos sujeitos desta pesquisa. Assim, os principais empecilhos para existir cidadania, na esfera privada, se devem à presença dominante da referida ideologia, juntamente com as inúmeras privações de ordem material, às quais destacamos àquelas que se circunscrevem à moradia e ao bairro periférico. No tocante às possibilidades de haver cidadania, no espaço privado, enfoca o poder feminino, com a dimensão afetiva e a questão da solidariedade. Contudo, a cidadania não é realizada em razão da unilateralidade do poder feminino; pelo fato da esfera afetiva contribuir e reforçar tendências assimétricas em ambos os cônjuges e; somente a solidariedade não é suficiente para se garantir cidadania. Com relação à cidadania no espaço público, os obstáculos são infinitamente maiores do que as possibilidades para a sua realização, seja pela cultura política do favor (que tem afinidade com a ideologia relacional), seja pela presença marcante da ideologia relacional, da opressão e exploração no espaço do trabalho. / The study present here is an investigation about citizenship. Initially our analysis is based on social-historical conceptual focus, since qe hare reflected on the origin and evolution of the citizenship on a perspective, as on the word as on the national ambit. Moreover, we present laconically some aspects of the city where we have performed the field work and afterwards we have analyzed the citizenship concept. Afterwards, our broach is consubstantiated on the analysis respecting the difficulties and possibilities of the citizenship existence, at the public and private space for the popular class families. For this, we have based on the declaration and the social conditions of six families who live in the peripherical district in the city of Presidente Pr. The present study has as a conductor thread the analysis about the relational ideology that is related to the popular culture and the material survival of the subjects on this research. Thus, the main hindrances to make citizenship exist on private sphere, is due to the dominant present of referred ideology along with the numberless privations of material sort, which we emphasize the ones that are encircled to the housing and the peripherical district. Concerning the possibilities to have citizenship, on the private space, it is related whit the feminine power, with the affective dimension and the matter of solidarity. However, the citizenship isn t performed in reason for the unilaterality of the feminine power; for the fact of the affective sphere contribute and reinforce asymmetrical in both married people and; only solidarith isn t enough to guarantee citizenship. Concerning the citizenship on the public space, the obstacles are infinitely bigger than the possibilities for its relation, as for the political culture of the favor (that has affinity with the relational ideology) as for the remarkable presence of the relational ideology, the oppression and exploration on the work space.

[pt] Esta pesquisa teve como objetivo desenhar um estudo contextual voltado para o conhecimento do perfil sociodemográfico e cultural e das trajetórias escolares dos alunos matriculados na educação de jovens e adultos, especificamente no Projeto de Educação Juvenil - PEJ, da Secretaria Municipal de Educação do Rio de Janeiro. Trata- se de um estudo-piloto, ou seja, de uma versão em menor escala de um estudo completo, cujo objetivo foi testar aspectos do desenho da pesquisa, tais como o questionário e a amostra de alunos matriculados no PEJ em 2003, os procedimentos de coleta e a preparação da base de dados e a variância nas respostas, compreendendo, desta forma, as etapas inerentes a um survey. A dissertação aborda detalhadamente essas etapas e seus produtos e apresenta considerações preliminares sobre as dimensões sociodemográfica, socioeconômica e cultural e sobre as trajetórias escolares dos alunos matriculados no programa, a partir da análise dos dados quantitativos coletados. / [en] The principal objective of this research was to design a contextual study aimed at discovering the sociodemographic and cultural profile, as well as the school trajectories, of the students registered in the youth education project (Projeto de Educação Juvenil - PEJ) of the Municipal Secretariat of Education, Rio de Janeiro. The research constitutes a pilot study, that is, a small scale version of a complete study, whose objective was to test aspects of the research design, such as the questionnaire and the sample of students registered in the PEJ in 2003, the processes of data collection, preparation of the data base and the variation of responses, comprehending the inherent stages of a survey. The dissertation details these stages and their products, based on the quantitative data collected, presenting preliminary considerations on the sociodemographic, socio-economic and cultural dimensions, as well as the school trajectories, of the students registered in the project.
