Ormenese, Marcela 14 August 2018 (has links)
Orientador: Jose Antonio Siqueira Dias / Dissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Faculdade de Engenharia Eletrica e de Computação / Made available in DSpace on 2018-08-14T11:25:46Z (GMT). / Abstract: Although significant savings in electrical energy are achieved with commercially available solar water heaters, they do not present a good performance in days that the radiation is not good, because the boiler is filled with cold water whenever the hot water is used. In this work, a new solar heating system, which minimizes the use of electrical energy, is proposed. The proposed system uses a fuzzy controller that analyzes the intensity of solar radiation, the temperature of the water inside the boiler and the volume of water inside the boiler, to actuate on a On/Off valve which controls the boiler's input of cold water. Two solar heating systems were modeled: a conventional system and the new proposed system with the fuzzy controller; and their efficiencies were compared using computer simulations. The obtained results show that the proposed system with the fuzzy controller presents a much higher performance when compared to the traditional system. Simulation results indicate that for a three winter days period, with low intensity solar radiation, the conventional system consumed 10.08 kwh of electrical energy while the proposed system needed only 1.86 kwh to achieve the same performance. / Universidade Estadual de Campi / Eletrônica, Microeletrônica e Optoeletrônica / Mestre em Engenharia Elétrica

"Prakiskt taget orubbade miljöer" : En jämförande studie av Charlotte Berlins museum, Hallwylska museet och affektiv autenticitet

Kronblad, Hanna January 2019 (has links)
The following thesis examine the former homes of Charlotte Berlin and Wilhelmina von Hallwyl, two women who in the turn of 20th century donated their homes and collections to be museums. The purpose of this essay is to examine how Charlotte Berlin’s Museum and the Hallwyl museum work with musealization and authenticity. Both Charlotte and Wilhelmina lived their life in a changing time, where emigration, industrialization and urbanization took place. They are both women from the upper-middle class but with differences such as economic ones which has an effect of the collection and the size of their homes. Further distinctions between them is that Wilhelmina was married and Charlotte was not. Wilhelmina lived in the capital of Sweden, Charlotte in the small town called Ystad. Their similarities is found in their collections of clocks, clothes, paintings and books but most of all in their determination to make their homes museums once they were gone. They sought to make sure that their changing time could be seen through their collection. By examine how this is visible in the rooms they left 137behind, it is possible to see the relationship between the props and the authentic objects. The signs of it now being a museum, as cordons and glass stands, collaborates with the presence of the former inhabitants as well as movemements, seen through objects like chairs placed slightly obliquely. This essay also establish a new term called affective authenticity, which describe and develop the sensation of the past, the relation between the imagi-nation and the reality and the connection between people, objects and the milieu, with the importance that every-thing does not have to be all authentic, but has to mediate it. This is a two year’s master thesis in Museum and Cultural Heritage Studies.

Les collections océaniennes des musées du Nord - Pas-de-Calais : étude comparée de la mise en place des collections ethnographiques régionales à partir de celle du Musée de Boulogne-sur-Mer / Pacific collections in Northern France Museums : a comparative study of the development of the regional ethnographic collections based upon the case of the Boulogne-sur-Mer Museum

Hoffmann, Marie 08 January 2019 (has links)
The history of the collections has been a main focus in the Museum Studies since the late 20th century. However, despite having been inventoried in the 1980s, the past of pacific collections is still mainly undiscovered, the process of their incorporation into the museum unkown. It is mostly due to the eventful history of inventories and collection managments. Museum curators often encounter objects unumbered, labels unconnected to any artifact, several numbers for the same object... But is displaying an object detached from any historical background a viable option ? Or should we always consider its history and the way it became a museum piece ? Our goal is to relate the pacific collections past, looking through the archives, unraveling the steps these artifacts took from the Pacific to Northern France. The diversity and profusion of pacific material in the North and Pas-de-Calais departments account for our regional focus. Our main point of interest is the collectors and donators, men and women who took part to the history of the artifacts, in the contexte of the notable socialibity. We highlight the way these objects came to enter the inventory of the museum, the way they were perceived by the administrations and the public, but also the way they were displayed. The two main institutions in our study are the Museums of Boulogne-sur-Mer and Douai. Both are rich in archives material and the tragic destiny of the second warrant this pre- eminence. The Hôtel Sandelin of Saint-Omer, Dunkerque Fine Arts and Lille Natural History Museums are the three other study cases presented in our thesis. Our time frame is mainly set on the 19th century, with a starting point at the creation of the first institution, the Boulogne- sur-Mer Museum.

Solfångare : Ett system för att minska energitillförseln / Solar collectors : A system for reducing energy supply

Wikström, Ludvig January 2020 (has links)
The climate and society are constantly changing, and awareness of the consequences of both is increasing. By utilizing energy efficient solutions, it will be possible to reduce the energy supplied to the system. This work will highlight the potential energy in the sunlight that can be used to heat structures and other facilities that have a heating demand. The report will look at how solar collectors can contribute thermal energy to Hedlunda preschool. By means of various calculations, the tilt angle of the solar collectors will show what differences appear in the current amount of energy and when the energy can be used. To fulfill the purpose of the project, three questions will be answered: ·        Is it possible to reduce the energy demand by 2.5 kWh/m2 with the help of solar collectors? ·        Is it economically profitable to use solar collectors to reduce external energy demand? ·        How do you solve a possible problem with overheating when the energy is not used during summer?  The method that has been used to investigate the solar energy supply is primarily calculations in Excel. To gain a better understanding, literature studies and informational websites have been used. In conclusion, the results showed that it is quite possible to reduce the yearly energy demand by 2.5 kWh/m2 living space or 4,625 kWh total with solar collectors. However, using solar panels in the investigated property is not financially profitable. This is largely because the heating is currently managed by a cheap district heating. Furthermore, the fact that district heating is at its cheapest during summer when solar collectors are most productive further complicates profitability. There are several technical solutions that make it possible to avoid overheating and boiling in the system, which allows for the installation of solar panels. In summary, it is possible to use solar collectors to reduce energy levels to an international certified passive house standard. Solar collectors can be interesting for Umeå Kommun even though it is not financially profitable. An installation of solar collectors can give Umeå Kommun more knowledge about how solar collectors work in practice and be a message that they are investing in innovation and the future.
