Consumer Mobile Shopping Acceptance Predictors and Linkages: A Systematic Review and Weight Analysis

Tamilmani, Kuttimani, Rana, Nripendra P., Dwivedi, Y.K., Kizgin, Hatice 14 April 2020 (has links)
No / Mobile phones have become an integral part of human lives with majority of people using them to access product and services for their day-today needs. However, mobile shopping adoption across the globe is not wide or fast as expected. In addition, the research is very scant in understanding various predictors of consumer adoption towards mobile shopping. The objective of this study is to identify most significant and non-significant predictors of consumer mobile shopping acceptance. Systematic review and weight analysis on 34 mobile shopping studies revealed researchers mostly employed TAM and UTAUT model as theoretical lens. This study found an interesting revelation that extrinsic motivation variables such as social influence and perceived usefulness determine consumer mobile shopping behavioral intention during early stages. However, in later stages intrinsic motivation variables such as satisfaction and trust play crucial role to emerge as best and promising predictor of consumer continuous intention respectively.

Challenges of Implementing DevOps in Embedded Application Development

PULA, PAVAN KUMAR January 2023 (has links)
Background : Embedded system consists of both hardware and software. Boththese hardware and software development teams must be worked together to complete the project successfully, which requires a lot of communication among theteams. DevOps is an evolution of agile development that bridges communicationgap between teams. Since Embedded systems are not service-based, it isn’t easy toimplement DevOps. So there is a need to study what challenges are currently facedin implementing embedded application development. Objectives: The focus of this thesis was to gather the challenges and mitigationstrategies to overcome these challenges faced during the implementation of DevOpsin Embedded application development, along with mitigation strategies followed toovercome these challenges. Methods: In this thesis, surveys, and interviews were selected as research methods to identify challenges faced while implementing DevOps in embedded systemapplication development and mitigation strategies, and the survey was considered tocollect demographic questions. Results: A survey was conducted to identify embedded developers with experienceimplementing DevOps for Embedded Application Development. Out of 19 surveyresponses, 12 respondents were further interviewed for detailed information. Datacollected from the interviews are analyzed using thematic analysis and narrativeanalysis. Conclusions: From the analysis, the research concludes that continuous testingis the most challenging phase to implement. Continuous testing and continuous integration are the phases that need to be focused on more for the future implementationof DevOps

Continous Improvements – en självklarhet för kunskapsintensiva organisationer?

Nordhamren, Sofie January 2017 (has links)

XLPE-cable Production Optimization : Setup time Reduction at Armoring line

Hedlund, Björn January 2014 (has links)
At ABB’s high voltage cable factory in Karlskrona, there is a line production that is regarded as a bottleneck. The production rate at this workplace as well as the large variations of setups has created two major problems. The first problem is that it has become difficult for the planning department to determine the lead times for delivery to the customers. The other problem is that the long setup times has made this line production the bottleneck of the whole production. The factory at ABB HVC includes a number of line productions, where each line has their own purpose and value adding processes. The armoring line AR50 that this project has the focus to improve has the last value adding processes for the factory’s main product. The factory’s main product is the Cross-Linked Polyethylene cable, shortened XLPE. There are several different advantages with the XLPE-cable system. First of all they are maintenance-free and environmentally friendly. The main reason that the XLPE-cable is environmentally friendly is because it have low electrical losses. Since the submarine cables are underground the cables are invisible and not effected by weather conditions. This project implements the method SMED as well as various methods from the LEAN transcript in order to reduce the setup times and create a more stable and effficient production. An Ishikawa diagram were used in order to determine the root causes of the problems. Later both technical and management solutions were proposed and implemented. The project has concluded impressive results regarding setup time reduction and annual cost savings. It also enlightens the large potential for further improvement. This project will be continued during the year of 2014 in order to implement the proposed solutions. The future improvements are not just technical but also related to management and group dynamics.

Pragmatisk mjukvarutestning : Hur kan agila metoder implementeras i ett pågående utvecklingsprojekt?

Lundgren, Anna January 2011 (has links)
There are several ways of conducting software testing where some may include users and others may include personnel whose work task is to execute test on systems. Although most developers and project managers understand the point of testing the system, it is not always being done and the most common reason is that there is no time for it. However, this is a false assumption as it may instead cause some bugs in the system that would not have been there in the first place if tests had been there to prevent bugs in the code. My purpose for this thesis was to find suggestions for changes in the development process in an ongoing project used by Acino and Svenska Försäkringsfabriken in order to increase the quality of the system used. In this thesis, I have approached the purpose by pursuing a case study of the two companies through observation and interviews. By doing this I acquired the relevant information to make suggestions for change. In my case study, I have analysed the work process, which includes the types of testing and development conducted on the system. Through this I have found suggestions for changes that can generate better quality of both the system and work process. The changes that I've suggested are directed against both the code that the system consists of and the work processes used by the two companies. While the suggestions I have found is not entirely new for the companies it is something that’s not included in either the code or process, but my hope is that I have created an awareness which could ultimately generate a positive change.

Numerical Simulation and Laboratory Testing of Time-Frequency MUSIC Beamforming for Identifying Continuous and Impulsive Ground Targets from a Mobile Aerial Platform

Silva, Ramon Alejandro 03 October 2013 (has links)
When a microphone array is mounted on a mobile aerial platform, such as an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), most existing beamforming methods cannot be used to adequately identify continuous and impulsive ground. Here, numerical simulation results and laboratory experiments are presented that validate a proposed time-frequency beamforming method based on the Multiple Signal Classification (MUSIC) algorithm to detect these acoustic sources from a mobile aerial platform. In the numerical simulations three parameters were varied to test the proposed algorithm’s location estimation performance: 1) the acoustic excitation types; 2) the moving receiver’s simulated flight conditions; and 3) the number of acoustic sources. Also, a distance and angle error analysis was done to quantify the proposed algorithm’s source location estimation accuracy when considering microphone positioning uncertainty. For experimental validation, three laboratory experiments were conducted. Source location estimations were done for: a 600 Hz sine source, a banded white noise source between 700-800 Hz, and a composite source combined simultaneously with both the sine and banded white noise sources. The proposed algorithm accurately estimates the simulated monopole’s location coordinates no matter the excitation type or simulated trajectory. When considering simultaneously-excited, multiple monopoles at high altitudes, e.g. 50 m, the proposed algorithm had no error when estimating the source’s locations. Finally, a distance and angle error analysis exposed how relatively small microphone location error, e.g. 1 cm maximum error, can propagate into large averaged distance error of about 10 m in the far-field for all monopole excitation types. For all simulations, however, the averaged absolute angle error remained small, e.g. less than 4 degrees, even when considering a 5 cm maximum microphone location error. For the laboratory experiments, the sine source had averaged distance and absolute angle errors of 0.9 m and 14.07 degrees from the source’s true location, respectively. Similarly, the banded white noise source’s averaged distance and absolute angle errors were 1.9 m and 47.14 degrees; and lastly, the averaged distance and absolute angle errors of 0.78 m and 8.14 degrees resulted when both the sources were simultaneously excited.
