Tvärsektoriella regeringsuppdrag : en pedagogisk praktik?

Johansson, Lena January 2017 (has links)
This study aims to investigate how key personnel in a government agency integrate cross-sectorial issues into their activities. The survey shows that it is possible to understand the work as a pedagogical practice. However, this approach is based on another conceptual tradition of learning than the general one. Cross-sectorial commissions do not seem to lead to the integration of different issues. It is rather the agency’s and the employees' approach to the assignment and the cross-sectorial practice that is crucial. A socio-cultural perspective on learning can help the authority consider the cross-sectorial community of practice to be an asset, thus utilising learning within them in a more strategic and systematic way. The survey also helps to understand negotiation of meaning as a way to integrate practices. The study has a deductive approach and is based on a socio-cultural perspective on learning to contribute to the understanding of the implementation as pedagogical practices. The survey includes one government agency that works with two different cross-sectorial commissions. The work of each government commission has been investigated through interviews with key persons within the agency. The phenomenological point of departure has also influenced the compilation, interpretation and thematic analysis of the results of the survey.

A critical appraisal of collaborative partnerships between business and NGOs in post-conflict settings in Africa

Makan-Lakha, Pravina 23 February 2013 (has links)
Collaborative relationships between business and non-governmental organisations (NGOs), is offering innovative business practices, as a new and emerging concept. The potential of this phenomenon to offer market-orientated solutions to the social and developmental challenges confronting us globally is imminent. The significance of this concept for businesses in post-conflict settings in Africa is particularly relevant for Africa as the next growth market. Critically examining this evolving concept, this study looks at the perceptions and nature of collaborative relationships between business and NGOs in post-conflict settings, the contributory and inhibiting factors, as well as its characteristics towards closing the gap in knowledge.Twenty leaders of businesses and NGOs in Burundi, Sierra Leone and Liberia, involved in collaborative relationships, were interviewed. The concept was scrutinized in a qualitative study, using in-depth interviewing with qualitative and quantitative data collection methods. The methodology allowed innovative practices of collaborative relationships in post-conflict countries to be reflected on.The findings related to the embryonic and evolving nature of collaborative relationships between businesses and NGOs in post-conflict countries reflect a model of innovative cases for enhancing business processes. The model of Business Process Enhancement (BPE) is conceptualised from the results of this study. Concomitantly, the study presents new insights into the strategic potential of collaborative relationships and offers both business and NGOs in post-conflict countries a framework of the benefits, and the contributory and inhibiting factors. / Dissertation (MBA)--University of Pretoria, 2012. / Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) / unrestricted

Kunskapsbildning i en tvärsektoriell samverkan - En fallstudie kring autonoma fordon i Göteborgs stad

Rosengren, Christofer, Nilsson, Christoffer January 2018 (has links)
Many of our contemporary cities face increased urbanization, which can lead to greaterstrains and new challenges for urban planning to deal with. Smart cities are a reaction tothe increased complexity that cities face, as more people will have to compete for the samespace. One of these complexities is how urban mobility should be improved withoutcompromising other values. Today there is an extensive development of autonomousvehicles, which many believe may be a solution to mobility issues. An identified problem isthe great uncertainty, that derives from the lack of experience regarding autonomousvehicle effects in the city. This uncertainty creates a need for cross-sectorial collaborationbetween municipal planning and technology developing companies in order to achieve amore comprehensive knowledge base.A case study has been conducted in Gothenburg where representatives from municipalplanning, private industry, and a consulting company have been interviewed. Observationshave been conducted to gain an understanding of how the knowledge-making processlooks like between the public and private sector, this to get a picture of the challenges andopportunities that the various actors identify in relations to the implementation ofautonomous vehicles in the city's long-term planning. The results that have emerged in thiscase study points to problems that may arise when the delimitation of a knowledgegeneratingproject leads to a loss of knowledge. The study also identifies issues that mayarise when different technical languages meet to mutually generate a comprehensiveknowledge base.

Formy spolupráce firem a neziskových organizací v rámci CSR strategií vybraných firem / Collaboration forms between Business and Nonprofits within CSR strategies

Řehounková, Václava January 2015 (has links)
Recently in the Czech Republic, more attention has been focused on the social responsibility of companies. Companies become members of professional platforms, in which they gain and deepen their knowledge. The vital part of CSR is cooperation within the civil sector. The goal of this thesis is to focus on this cooperation within the Czech environment. For my own research I have been using the typology of the authors Wymer and Samu, who look at different ways of management and the benefits gained from different types of cooperation. I compare and find differences in this typology through analysis of documents and questionnaires of companies active in professional platforms. The cooperation established between companies and NGOs is different in the case of agreements on the use of the logo and the name of non-profit organizations, sponsorship, joint issue promotion and corporate philanthropy, both greater involvements of the non-profit sector, and given benefits.
