The thesis deals with evaluation of czech entrepreneurial environment from the point of view of french small and middle sized companies doing business in selected sectors by author which entered or tried to enter to the market. It analyzes the development of companies on the czech market from the first contacts to the final establishment. On the basis of experience of these companies the thesis evaluates strong and weak points of the czech entrepreneurial environment. It gives recommendations to french companies which think of entering the czech market and don't know what to expect from it.

Business requirements, urgent problems and barriers preventing from entering the Brazil market are analysed there and on the contrary perspective branches that provide better opportunities to start business for Czech firms are presented there. The thesis concerns with the development of the Czech-Brazil relationship, the current contractual foundation and the economic cooperation of both countries. The practical part of the thesis analyses chosen firms which have experience with trading at the Brazil market.

Contributing to the available literature on the cross-cultural management between China and the Czech Republic, this thesis is examining the factors influencing the performance and success of Czechs working and living in China. It firstly defines the cultural settings of China and the Czech Republic, their key aspects and cultural specifics. Secondly, it describes the desired qualities of a successful expatriate - the so called global mindset. Thirdly, the thesis focuses on the specifics of working in China and on the potential culture shock a Czech expatriate is likely to face after relocating there. In the practical part of the thesis, the methods and results of an original primary field research conducted among more than 30 Czech expatriates in China are outlined. Using correlations and content analysis, the final results are drawn and the prior hypotheses either confirmed or disproved. The summary of the thesis offers then a set of recommendations for an expatriate-to-be who is coming to China - an ancient land surrounded by mysteries even in our modern times.

The thesis brings complex view on the development and current situation of the tourism between Russian Federation and the Czech Republic after 1993. It proceeds from the analysis of the conditions for development of this industry in each region of both countries and from current position of their tourism. After defining of these countries as the destinations of tourism, the thesis looks into the development and current situation of the mutual tourism between them. It describes the events, which could influence the development during the observed period. Last but not least the thesis brigs questionnaire survey made in the RF and CR in order to find out the opinion of the respondents of observed countries or their previous and alternatively future visits.

This diploma thesis based on the latest statistical data analyses the impact of the economic crisis on key macro-characteristics of European tourism (contribution to GDP, employment, attendance). The development of these indicators compares within the European area. Subsequently, deals with the specific impacts and different defensive strategies at European level, national level and the level of private entities. These strategies compare, assess their common and different characters and is further analysed from the perspective of the utilization of general recommendations of international organisations and the EU. Evaluate the effectiveness of the selected strategies and draw up recommendations for minimizing consequences of the crisis for tourism.

Biopotraviny a jejich postavení v současném retailingu / Organic food and its position in contemporary retailing

This master thesis is focused on czech organic food and it role in current czech retailing. Organic food is nowadays widely discussed but czech local organic food is unjustly neglected. In the theoretical part of the master thesis, terms such as retailing and organic farming are defined, it also alyses czech retail market and czech organic food market. Analytical part, on the other hand, uses these termes in the actual analysis of the czech organic food market. Using data collected from 5 different retailers (Globus, Tesco, Interspar, Penny Market a Albet) I conducted a country of origin analysis. Last part of the thesis sums up recommendations to improve the position of czech local product, aimed at czech farmers, consumers and oficial organizations.

Comparative part explores inter alia whether the compared countries have set euro adoption date, whether they fulfill the Maastricht criteria, what's the degree of their real convergence and what's their attitude to euro adoption in general and current European pacts.

Koučink a jeho perspektivy v České republice / Coaching and its perspectives in The Czech Republic

The aim of this dissertation was to whether the VŠE students perspective of the segment is the same as the coaches' perspective using a questionnaire research of the VŠE students and coaches too, and comparing both the students' and coaches' segments and suggesting possible solution. The questionnaire research was based in The Czech Republic area. The theoretical part of the dissertation is organized the way so it would introduce the involved ones into coaching. Firstly, it introduces the term coaching, differences between coaching and psychotherapy, ethical codex of the coaching, various genres and the methods of the coaching. Secondly, it explains dimensions of the mutual corporation, the coaches' and coached people roles, expenses, the form of quality, expected benefits, expectation of the co-operation and its form. Conclusions of this dissertation can be beneficial for organizations AIESEC, RPC VŠE, Koučink klub VŠE, The Head Office of the VŠE, coaches segment, future segment students' employers and for students themselves. There are included couches, companies providing coaching and professional associations under the coaches segment.

The aim of this thesis is to describe and analyse the law position and activities of Czech national bank. The content of thesis is composed of three imaginary parts. In first one the historical development of central banking on Czech territory is described. It is devided into four chapters respecting the chronological development. The thesis is focused on a state of current legislation mainly, therefore the second and third part creates a widest portion of the thesis. The second part examines a framework of constitutional relations of Czech national bank and president, Parliament and goverment particularly, and the independency and aim of CNB in 7 chapters. The third part concerns with statutory law and is composed of 7 chapters also. It deals with a variety of activities of Czech national bank. Introduction, conclusion, abstract, key words and source list are drawn in other parts.

The aim of this thesis is to analyse translations of audiovisual material from Norwegian to Czech. The theoretical part of the thesis discusses audiovisual translation in general, with special emphasis on subtitling. Strategies and concepts significant for the translation of subtitles are described, as well as different aspects of the quality of their translation. The empirical part analyses firstly the audiovisual material itself (the Headhunters movie) and consequently analyses the translation strategies and solutions used in the translation. The analysis is based on Lomheim's model. The translation of marked speech, culturally bound elements and humor is also discussed. Finally, the quality of translation is assessed.
