This volume is a guide to archival material, almost exclusively on East Africa, held in Neuendettelsau (Bavaria). In addition to documents relating to the Hersbruck Mission's work among the Kamba in the 1880s it lists diaries, correspondence, reports, photographs etc., mainly from the first half of the twentieth century, and the personnel files for missionaries sent to Tanganyika / Tanzania after the mid-1950s, when Neuendettelsau took over this task on behalf of the Leipzig Mission.

This volume lists those church records housed in Moshi and two other places in Tanzania that have been digitized under a project initially sponsored by the British Library's 'Endangered Archives' programme. Copies of the DVDs, covering a total of 40,000 pages, have been deposited at the Tanzania National Archive in Dar es Salaam and at the British Library, as well as in Moshi itself. They relate to documents written in German or Swahili between 1897 and 1950.

This volume contains 55 photographs taken by the Moravian missionary Hermann Moritz Bau in South Africa. Born into an old Herrnhut family in Surinam in 1865, he trained in Germany as a cabinetmaker and missionary. Arriving in Cape Town in 1891, he worked as a teacher and later as a missionary at several mission stations in the Western Cape. The photographs illustrate the life of missionaries and those around them, as well as landscapes of the Cape and the personal perceptions of the photographer.

This volume lists and reproduces 328 photographs connected with the visitation by Carl Ihmels, Director of the Leipzig Mission, to Tanganyika in 1927. About 150 were taken in Tanganyika itself (mainly on the Leipzig Mission stations), a further 130 on the outward and homeward voyages (Southwest Africa, South Africa, Mozambique, Egypt); the remainder were sent to Ihmels later by Leipzig missionaries in Tanganyika. The volume is supplemented by an index and copies of reports on the visitation published in the Evangelisches-Lutherisches Missionsblatt.
